Self organizing optimization and phase transition in reinforcement learning minority game system

Whether the complex game system composed of a large number of artificial intelligence(AI)agents empowered with reinforcement learning can produce extremely favorable collective behaviors just through the way of agent self-exploration is a matter of practical *** this paper,we address this question by combining the typical theoretical model of resource allocation system,the minority game model,with reinforcement *** individual participating in the game is set to have a certain degree of intelligence based on reinforcement learning *** particular,we demonstrate that as AI agents gradually becomes familiar with the unknown environment and tries to provide optimal actions to maximize payoff,the whole system continues to approach the optimal state under certain parameter combinations,herding is effectively suppressed by an oscillating collective behavior which is a self-organizing pattern without any external *** interesting phenomenon is that a first-order phase transition is revealed based on some numerical results in our multi-agents system with reinforcement *** order to further understand the dynamic behavior of agent learning,we define and analyze the conversion path of belief mode,and find that the self-organizing condensation of belief modes appeared for the given trial and error rates in the AI ***,we provide a detection method for period-two oscillation collective pattern emergence based on the Kullback–leibler divergence and give the parameter position where the period-two appears.

Total-factor energy efficiency of ten major global energy-consuming countries

Improving energy efficiency is regarded as a key path to tackling global warming and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs).In 2020,the energy consumption of the world's ten major energy-consuming countries accounted for 66.8%of the global *** paper applied data envelopment analysis(DEA)to calculate these ten major energyconsuming countries'total-factor energy efficiency(TFEE)at national and sectoral levels from 2001-2020,and explored the infuencing factors of total-factor energy efficiency with the Tobit regression *** results showed significant difference in the ten countries'energy *** United States and Germany topped the list for total-factor energy efficiency,while China and India were at the ***,the energy efficiency of the industrial subsector has increased significantly over the past two decades,while that of the other subsectors has been relatively *** industrial structure upgrading,per capita GDP,energy consumption structure,and foreign direct investment had significant impacts on energy efficiency with national *** consumption structure and GDP per capita were determinative factors of energy efficiency.

Chirality is an important natural characteristic of organic molecules,and chiral organic molecules have shown extensive application in areas such as pharmaceutical development and material *** from the ability to achieve circularly polarized luminescence(CPl),chiral luminescent materials have shown potential applications in anti-glare display,optical communication and,3D display,*** to the ability to harvest both singlet and triplet excitons by a fast reverse intersystem crossing process without involving noble metals,chiral thermally activated delayed fluorescence(TADF)materials with point chirality,axial chirality,planar chirality and helical chirality are regarded as the state-of-the-art materials for circularly polarized organic light-emitting diodes(CP-OlEDs).In recent years,the chiral TADF materials and CP-OlEDs have rapidly developed,but unfortunately,the dissymmetry factors(g)are far from the requirement of practical *** ideal emitters and devices should have both high efficiency and a g factor,or at least a balance between these two *** review gives an overview of recent progress in chiral TADF materials,with a particular focus on the chiral skeleton,CPl property and device ***,the molecular design concept,device structure and methods to improve the g factors of chiral materials and CP-OlEDs are also discussed.

lipase and photodecarboxylase coexpression: A potential strategy for alkane-based biodiesel production from natural triglycerides

Alkane-based biodiesel is considered the next generation of biodiesel owing to its potential environmental benefits and the fact that it exhibits much higher specific caloric values than traditional ***,the formidable obstacle impeding the commercialization of this cutting-edge fuel alternative lies in the cost associated with its *** this study,an engineered strain Escherichia coli(***)showcasing harmonized coexpression of a lipase(from Thermomyces lanuginosus lipase,Tll)and a fatty acid photodecarboxylase(from Chlorella variabilis,CvFAP)was first constructed to transform triglycerides into *** potential of *** Bl21(DE3)/pRSFDuet-1-Tll-CvFAP for alkane synthesis was evaluated with tripalmitin as a model substrate under various process *** a comprehensive examination of the reaction parameters,the scope of the biotransformation was expanded to‘real’substrates(vegetable oils).The results showed that bioderived oils can be transformed into alkanes with high yields(0.80-10.20 mmol·l^(-1))under mild conditions(35℃,pH 8.0,and 36 h)and blue light *** selected processes were performed on an increased lab scale(up to 100 ml)with up to 24.77 mmol·l^(-1) tripalmitin,leading to a yield of 18.89 mmol·l^(-1) *** the employment of a method for efficiently producing alkanes under mild conditions and a simple procedure to isolate alkanes from the reaction system,the utilization of sustainable biomass as a fundamental feedstock emerges as the primary solution to lower the cost of alkane-based ***,this study proposes a readily implementable and highly effective approach for alkane-based biodiesel production.

Engineering high-performance dielectric chiral shells with enhanced chiral fields for sensitive chiral biosensor

Chiral metamaterials have been a topic of significant research interest in recent years due to their potential for various applications in nanophotonic devices and chiral ***,the intrinsic Ohmic loss in surface plasmonic resonance has limited their practical use,resulting in large light dissipation and weak chiroptical ***,we report on the development of high-performance dielectric chiral shells(DCS)through a two-step Si deposition process on a self-assembled microsphere *** form DCS sample completely oyercomes the cancelation effect originated from the disorder property of the micro-sphere monolayer in macroscale,and at a wavelength of approximately 710 nm,the measured optimal chiral signal(g-factor)and transmittance can reach up to 0.7 and 0.3,*** strong chiroptical effect comes from the asymmetric circular displacement currents(i.e.,magnetic modes)enabled by the specific shell *** chiral shell geometry,electromagnetic properties,sensor sensitivity of chiral molecules and figure of merit are systematically *** DCSs demonstrate highly sensitive detection of chiral biomolecules owing to their easily accessible geometry and enhanced uniform chiral field.

longitudinal changes in body weight of breastfeeding mothers in the first year after delivery and its relationship with human milk composition:a combined longitudinal and cross-sectional cohort study

Corrosion behavior of Al_(2)O_(3)-C bricks in MnO-containing mold slag

In order to explore the corrosion mechanism of Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories in the mold flux bearing MnO,the immersion test of Al_(2)O_(3)-C refractories in CaO-SiO2-CaF2-MnO slag with different MnO contents was carried out at 1550℃.The results show that Mn particles were observed in the slag after experiment,due to the reduction of MnO by graphite in *** amounts of graphite were observed at the interface between refractories and slag,indicating that the oxidation of graphite is limited by the poor contact between graphite and molten ***,the oxidation of graphite is not the main cause of damage to refractories.A small quantity of CaO·2Al_(2)O_(3)(CA_(2))and CaO·6Al_(2)O_(3)(CA_(6))adjacent to Al_(2)O_(3) grain was detected at the slag/reaction layer ***_(2) and CA_(6) possess relatively high melting points,which is beneficial to hindering the further penetration of ***,the dissolution of Al_(2)O_(3) into slag is still the main cause for refractories *** increase in the MnO content of mold slag decreases the viscosity and then results in the severe corrosion of Al_(2)O_(3)-C bricks.

Free radicals trigger the closure of open pores in lignin-derived hard carbons toward improved sodium-storage capacity

The chemical activation of various precursors is effective for creating additional closed pores in hard carbons for sodium ***,the formation mechanism of closed pores under the influence of pore-forming agents is not well ***,an effective chemical activation followed by a high-temperature self-healing strategy is employed to generate interconnected closed pores in lignin-derived hard carbon(HCs).By systematic experimental design combined with electron paramagnetic res-onance spectroscopy,it can be found that the content of free radicals in the carbon matrix influences the closure of open pores at high *** high activation temperature(>700 C)leads to a low free radical concentration,making it difficult to achieve self-healing of open pores at high *** activation at 700°C,a balance between pore making and self-healing is achieved in the final hard carbon.A large number of free radicals triggers rapid growth and aggregation of carbon microcrys-tals,blocking pre-formed open micropores and creating additional interconnected closed pores in as-obtained hard *** a result,the optimized carbon anode(lK-700-1300)delivers a high reversible capacity of 330.8 mA h g^(-1) at 0.03 A g^(-1),which is an increase of 86 mA h g^(-1) compared to the pristine lignin-derived carbon anode(l-700-1300),and exhibits a good rate performance(202.1 mA h g^(-1) at 1 A g^(-1)).This work provides a universal and effective guidance for tuning closed pores of hard carbons from otherprecursors.

Clinical characteristics of peripapillary hyperreflective ovoid mass-like structures in myopic children
