ZIF-8 modified by isocyanate as a photocatalytic antibacterial agent

Zeolite imidazole skeleton(ZIF-8)is a promising option for self-cleaning of building exterior walls due to its large specific surface area,high antibacterial activity and low ***,it suffers from low antibacterial efficiency and yield under visible light *** address the issues,we developed the photocatalytic materials T-ZIF-8-TDI(thermally treated-ZIF-8-toluene 2,4-diisocyanate)by modifying ZIF-8 with thermal oxygen sensitization and chemical *** results show that the yield of T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacterial agent is increased to 11.5 times of that of T-ZIF-8,while maintaining the crystal structure of T-ZIF-8 and thermal stability up to 60℃.Furthermore,T-ZIF-8-TDI exhibits extended optical response range to the nearinfrared region,significantly narrowed band gap,improved photogenerated elec tron-hole separation efficiency,reduced recombination rate,and excellent photocatalytic *** the concentration of antibacterial agent is 600 mg·L^(-1),the antibacterial rate of Escherichia coli(***)reaches 99.99%irradiated by visible light for30 min,and when the concentration of antibacterial agent is 200 mg·L^(-1),the antibacterial rate of Staphylococcus aureus(***)reaches 99.99%irradiated by visible light for 25 *** also analyzed the reasons in detail from the aspects of bacterial species and antibacterial mechanism,and proposed the antibacterial mechanism of·O_(2)^(-)and h^(+)as the main active *** findings suggest that T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacterial agent has potential for use in self-cleaning of building exterior walls.

Metallic zinc is an excellent anode material for Zn-ion batteries,but the growth of Zn dendrite severely hinders its practical ***,an efficient and economical cationic additive,poly dimethyl diallyl ammonium（PDDA） was reported,used in aqueous Zn-ion batteries electrolyte for stabilizing Zn *** growth of zinc dendrites can be significantly restrained by benefiting from the pronounced electrostatic shielding effect from PDDA on the Zn metal ***,the PDDA is preferentially absorbed on Zn（002） plane,thus preventing unwanted side reactions on Zn *** to the introduction of a certain amount of PDDA additive into the common ZnSO4-based electrolyte,the cycle life of assembled Zn‖Zn cells(1 mA·cm-2and 1 mAh·cm-2) is prolonged to more than 1100 *** response to the perforation issue of Zn electrodes caused by PDDA additives,the problem can be solved by combining foamy copper with zinc *** real application,Zn-ion hybrid supercapacitors and MnO2‖Zn cells were assembled,which exhibited excellent cycling stability with PDDA *** work provides a new solution and perspective to cope with the dendrite growth problem of Zn anode.

Down-regulating Circular RNA Prkcsh suppresses the inflammatory response after spinal cord injury

Circular RNAs(circRNAs)are a class of conserved,endogenous non-coding RNAs that are involved in transcriptional and post-transcriptional gene regulation and are highly enriched in the nervous *** participate in the survival and differentiation of multiple nerve cells,and may even promote the recovery of neurological function after ***,their role in the inflammatory response after spinal cord injury remains *** the present study,we established a mouse model of T9 spinal cord injury using the modified Allen’s impact method,and identified 16,013 circRNAs and 960 miRNAs that were differentially expressed after spinal cord *** these,the expression levels of circPrkcsh were significantly different between injured and sham-treated *** then treated astrocytes with tumor necrosis factor-αin vitro to simulate the inflammatory response after spinal cord *** results revealed an elevated expression of circPrkcsh with a concurrent decrease in miR-488 expression in injured *** also found that circPrkcsh regulated the expression of the inflammationrelated gene ***,in tumor necrosis factor-α-treated astrocytes,circPrkcsh knockdown decreased the expression of Ccl2 by upregulating miR-488 expression,and reduced the secretion of inflammatory cytokines in *** findings suggest that differentially expressed circRNAs participate in the inflammatory response after spinal cord injury and act as the regulators of certain ***,circPrkcsh may be used as an miR-488 sponge to regulate Ccl2 expression,which might provide a new potential therapy for *** study was approved by the Animal Ethics Committee of Shandong University of China(approval ***-20170303)on March 3,2017.

1.42-fold enhancement of formate selectivity by linker conversion on the Zn-based metal organic framework catalyst

The accurate identification of marine oil spills and their emulsions is of great significance for emergency response to oil spill *** selection of characteristic bands with strong separability helps to realize the rapid calculation of data on aircraft or in orbit,which will improve the timeliness of oil spill emergency *** the same time,the combination of spectral and spatial features can improve the accuracy of oil spill *** ground-based experiments were designed to collect measured airborne hyperspectral data of crude oil and its emulsions,for which the multiscale superpixel level group clustering framework(MSGCF)was used to select spectral feature bands with strong *** addition,the double-branch dual-attention(DBDA)model was applied to identify crude oil and its *** with the recognition results based on original hyperspectral images,using the feature bands determined by MSGCF improved the recognition accuracy,and greatly shortened the running ***,the characteristic bands for quantifying the volume concentration of water-in-oil emulsions were determined,and a quantitative inversion model was constructed and applied to the AVIRIS image of the deepwater horizon oil spill event in *** study verified the effectiveness of feature bands in identifying oil spill pollution types and quantifying concentration,laying foundation for rapid identification and quantification of marine oil spills and their emulsions on aircraft or in orbit.

Widespread and active piezotolerant microorganisms mediate phenolic compound degradation under high hydrostatic pressure in hadal trenches

Profile grinding is the most crucial method for the ultra-precision machining of special-shaped ***,profile grinding produces a unique machining profile,and many random factors in the machining process lead to complex surface *** this study,the structural and probabilistic characteristics of the profile grinding of a special-shaped surface were analyzed,and a probabilistic algorithm for the forming and 3D characterization of special-shaped surfaces under profile grinding was *** forming process of a GH738 blade tenon tooth surface was considered as an example to demonstrate the *** comparison results showed that the simulation results had similar surface characteristics to the measurement results,and the relative error range of the 3D roughness parameter was 0.21%–19.76%,indicating an accurate prediction and characterization of the complex special-shaped surface under the action of multiple factors.

Numerical investigations of the interactions between bubble induced shock waves and particle based on OpenFOAM

The presence of particles and the shock waves generated by the cavitation bubbles can significantly affect the safety and the performance of hydrodynamic *** the present paper,the shock waves generated by cavitation bubble collapsing near the particle are numerically investigated based on the OpenFOAM together with the numerical schlieren for the shock wave *** numerical results reveal that the stand-off distance is one of the paramount factors affecting the interactions between the particle and the shock *** different kinds of shock waves(e.g.,bubble-inception,jet formation,particle reflected and jet-split shock waves)are observed during the bubble collapsing near the *** stand-off distance smaller than 0.5 or larger than 1.1,the maximum pressure at particle surface generated by the bubble growth can surpass those of the collapse stage.
