Neutron-skin thickness is a key parameter for a neutron-rich nucleus;however,it is difficult to *** the framework of the Lanzhou Quantum Molecular Dynamics(LQMD)model,a possible probe for the neutron-skin thickness(δ_(np))of neutron-rich ^(48)Ca was studied in the 140A MeV ^(48)Ca+^(9)Be projectile fragmentation reaction based on the parallel momentum distribution(p∥)of the residual fragments.A Fermi-type density distribution was employed to initiate the neutron density distributions in the LQMD simulations.A combined Gaussian function with different width parameters for the left side(Γ_(L))and the right side(Γ_(R))in the distribution was used to describe the p∥of the residual *** neutron-rich sulfur isotopes as examples,Γ_(L) shows a sensitive correlation withδ_(np) of ^(48)Ca,and is proposed as a probe for determining the neutron skin thickness of the projectile nucleus.

We quantified biomass accumulation and nitrogen （N） re- translocation, allocation, and utilization of Changbai larch （Larix olgen- sis） seedlings subjected to four fertilization treatments （24, 59, 81, 117 ***-1 N） with an unfertilized control during summer and autumn 2009. Ammonium phosphate （18-46-0） was the fertilizer used in all treatments. On both sampling dates, the needles had greater biomass and N content than new （2009） stems and old （2008） stems, and coarse, medium and fine roots （diameters of 〉5, 2-5 mm, and 0-2 mm, respectively）. Higher N concentration was observed in old stems and coarse roots than that in new stems and medium roots. In mid-summer, fine roots had higher N concentration than coarse roots. The treatment with 24 ***1 N had the greatest biomass and N content in needles and old stems, and highest net N retranslocation （NRA） and amount of N derived from soil. On Sep- tember 21, no N translocation was observed, while the treatment with 24 ***^-1 N had the highest N utilization efficiency and fertilizer efficiency. Vector analysis revealed that all four fertilization treatments induced Nexcess relative to the control. The treatments with 59, 81, 117 ***^-1 N induce N excess compared with treatments at 24 ***-1 N. We conclude that the traditional local fertilizer application rates exceeded N require- ments and N uptake ability for Changbai larch seedlings. The application rate of 24 ***^-1 N is recommended.

Accurate knowledge of mesospheric winds and waves is essential for studying the dynamics and climate in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere(MLT)*** this study,we conduct a comparative analysis of the mesosphere tidal results obtained from two adjacent meteor radars at low latitudes in Kunming,China,from November 2013 to December *** two radars operate at different frequencies of 37.5 MHz and 53.1 MHz,***,overall good agreement is observed between the two radars in terms of horizontal winds and tide *** results show that the dominant tidal waves of the zonal and meridional winds are diurnal and semidiurnal ***,we conduct an exhaustive statistical analysis to compare the tidal amplitudes and vertical wavelengths recorded by the dual radar systems,which reveals a high degree of alignment in tidal *** investigation includes variances and covariances of tidal amplitudes,which demonstrate remarkable consistency across measurements from both *** finding highlights clear uniformity in the mesospheric tidal patterns observed at low latitudes by the two neighboring meteor *** of the comparative analysis specifically underscore the significant correlation in vertical wavelength measurements,validating the robustness of radar observations for tidal research.

In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqNSCLC and sqNSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteraction<0.001).Multiplex immunofluorescence staining revealed an association between LRP1B-del and increased and decreased numbers of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells in nsqNSCLCs（P=0.040） and sqNSCLCs（P=0.014）,*** the POPLAR/OAK cohort,nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del demonstrated improved PFS benefits from atezolizumab over docetaxel(hazard ratio（HR）=0.70,P=0.046),whereas this benefit was negligible in those without LRP1B-del（HR=1.05,P=0.64）.Conversely,sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

Nanocrystalline metals with high Gibbs free energy have a strong tendency towards thermally driven grain growth,thus understanding the critical size or temperature of grain growth is vital for their *** investigations of thermal stability were usually conducted on the materials with a homogeneous structure;however,these methods are time-consuming and *** the present work,we reveal a high-throughput experimental strategy to characterize the size-dependent thermal stability via annealing the gradient structured *** this method,the critical size of grain growth(d_(c))at a given annealing temperature was rapidly *** critical size of grain growth was~95 nm when annealed at 503 K for 3 h,which is consistent with the value reported in the homogeneous structured ***,this critical size was found to be identical in three types of gradient structured Ni,i.e.,independent on the gradient *** present work demonstrates a high-throughput strategy for exploring the critical size of grain growth and size-dependent thermal stability of metals.

Preparation of ceramsite from solid waste based on the sintering process is a new technology and had a high efficiency in improving producing capability, decreasing consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and recovering waste heat of flue gas. An experiment sintering gangue ceramsite was conducted in a 25 kg scale sintering pot with a 100 cm height. The combustion characteristics, phase transformation, and the release profile of SO_(2)^(*) (SO and/or SO_(2)) and NO_(x)^(*) (N_(2)O, NO, and/or NO_(2)) of gangue ceramsite during the sintering process were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, thermogravimetry–differential thermogravimetry–differential scanning calorimetry, and measurement of physical properties of ceramsite and gas components of flue gas. The results showed that the gangue ceramsite had excellent properties, and its compressive strength and water absorption were 8.2–9.6 MPa and 8.9%–9.8%, respectively, far exceeding the requirement of standard (GB/T 17431.1–2010). The ignition temperature of gangue ceramsite was 443 ℃, and the ignition loss was 14.60 mass% at 1000 ℃. Kaolinite and calcite disappeared at 600 and 800 ℃, respectively. Albite disappeared and mullite formed at 1000 ℃. Two peaks of SO_(2)^(*) emissions emerged in the range of 311–346 mg m^(-3) near 500 ℃ of upper layer ceramsite and 420–489 mg m^(-3) near 1000 ℃ of lower layer ceramsite, respectively. NO_(x)^(*) emissions peak emerged in the range of 227–258 mg m^(-3) near 550 ℃ of the upper layer ceramsite, which was related to the oxidation of sulfide and the combustion of LPG. Gangue is a direct heat source for sintering of ceramsite as well. During sintering process, the heat of flue gas above and below 400 ℃ accounts for 55.9% and 30.0% of the all-output heat, respectively, and was potentially used for producing waste-heat steam or electricity as by-products and drying raw materials during its own initial sintering process, which can realize comb

It has been shown clinically that continuous removal of ischemia/reperfusion-induced reactive oxygen species is not conducive to the recovery of late ***,previous studies have shown that excessive increases in hypochlorous acid after stroke can cause severe damage to brain *** previous studies have found that a small amount of hypochlorous acid still exists in the later stage of stroke,but its specific role and mechanism are currently *** simulate stroke in vivo,a middle cerebral artery occlusion rat model was established,with an oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation model established in vitro to mimic *** found that in the early stage(within 24 hours)of ischemic stroke,neutrophils produced a large amount of hypochlorous acid,while in the recovery phase(10 days after stroke),microglia were activated and produced a small amount of hypochlorous ***,in acute stroke in rats,hypochlorous acid production was prevented using a hypochlorous acid scavenger,taurine,or myeloperoxidase inhibitor,4-aminobenzoic acid *** results showed that high levels of hypochlorous acid(200μM)induced neuronal apoptosis after oxygen/glucose deprivation/***,in the recovery phase of the middle cerebral artery occlusion model,a moderate level of hypochlorous acid promoted the proliferation and differentiation of neural stem cells into neurons and *** suggests that hypochlorous acid plays different roles at different phases of cerebral ischemia/reperfusion *** levels of hypochlorous acid(5 and 100μM)promoted nuclear translocation ofβ-*** transfection of single-site mutation plasmids,we found that hypochlorous acid induced chlorination of theβ-catenin tyrosine 30 residue,which promoted nuclear ***,our study indicates that maintaining low levels of hypochlorous acid plays a key role in the recovery of neurological function.

In this letter we study fermionic zero modes in gauge and gravity backgrounds taking a two-dimensional compact manifold S2 as extra dimensions. The result is that there exist massless Dirac fermions which have normalizable zero modes under quite general assumptions about these backgrounds on the bulk. Several special cases of gauge background on the sphere axe discussed and some simple fermionic zero modes are obtained.
