Crop residue burning in China (2019-2021): Spatiotemporal patterns, environmental impact, and emission dynamics

Crop residue burning(CRB)is a major contributor to air pollution in *** fire detection methods,however,are limited by either temporal resolution or accuracy,hindering the analysis of CRB's diurnal *** we explore the diurnal spatiotemporal patterns and environmental impacts of CRB in China from 2019 to 2021 using the recently released NSMC-Himawari-8 hourly fire *** analysis identifies a decreasing directionality in CRB distribution in the Northeast and a notable southward shift of the CRB center,especially in winter,averaging an annual southward movement of 7.5.Additionally,we observe a pronounced skewed distribution in daily CRB,predominantly between 17:00 and 20:***,nighttime CRB in China for the years 2019,2020,and 2021 accounted for 51.9%,48.5%,and 38.0%respectively,underscoring its significant environmental *** study further quantifies the hourly emissions from CRB in China over this period,with total emissions of CO,PM10,and PM_(2.5) amounting to 12,236,2,530,and 2,258 Gg,*** findings also reveal variable lag effects of CRB on regional air quality and pollutants across different seasons,with the strongest impacts in spring and more immediate effects in late *** research provides valuable insights for the regulation and control of diurnal CRB before and after large-scale agricultural activities in China,as well as the associated haze and other pollution weather conditions it causes.

The advancement of bimetallic catalysts holds significant promise for the innovation of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)*** from adsorbate evolution mechanism(AEM)and lattice oxygen oxidation mechanism(LOM),the incorporation of dual active sites has the potential to foster novel OER pathways,such as the coupled oxygen evolution mechanism(COM),which can surpass the limitations of OER and elevate catalytic *** this study,uniformly distributed Fe/Ni dual-site Fe-Ni_(2)P@C electrocatalysts are crafted by upcycling metals in electroplating sludge via an eco-friendly and sustainable microbial engineering *** findings indicate that a substantial number of defects emerge at the Ni2P crystal during the OER process,laying the groundwork for lattice oxygen ***,the displacement of Ni/Fe in the crystal lattice intensifies the asymmetry of the electronic structure at the metal active sites,facilitating the deprotonation *** research introduces an innovative paradigm for the synthesis of effective and robust transition metal-based OER catalysts,with implications for sustainable energy generation technologies.

Recently,it has been realized that in some systems internal space rotation can induce energy amplification for scattered waves,similar to rotation in real *** particularly,it has been shown that energy extraction is possible for a Q-ball,a stationary non-topological soliton that is coherently rotating in its field *** this paper,we generalize the analysis to the case of boson stars,and show that the same energy extraction mechanism still works for boson stars.

Insight study of rare earth elements in PM_(2.5)during five years in a Chinese inland city:Composition

The booming development of rare earth industry and the extensive utilization of its products accompanied by urban development have led to the accelerated accumulation of rare earth elements(REEs)as emerging pollutants in atmospheric *** this study,the variation of REEs in PM_(2.5)with urban(a non-mining city)transformation was investigated through five consecutive years of sample *** compositional variability and provenance contribution of REEs in PM_(2.5)were characterized,and the REEs exposure risks of children and adults via inhalation,ingestion and dermal absorption were also *** results showed an increase in the total REEs concentration from 46.46±35.16 mg/kg(2017)to 81.22±38.98 mg/kg(2021)over the five-year period,with Ce and La making the largest *** actual increment of industrial and traffic emission source among the three pollution sources was 1.34 ng/m^(3).Coal combustion source displayed a downward *** was the main exposure pathway for REEs in PM_(2.5)for both children and *** contributed the most to the total intake of REEs in PM_(2.5)among the population,followed by La and *** exposure risks of REEs in PM_(2.5)in the region were relatively low,but the trend of change was of great *** was strongly recommended to strengthen the concern about traffic-related non-exhaust emissions of particulate matter.

Coordinated Voltage Control of Distribution Network ConsideringMultiple Types of Electric Vehicles

The couple between the power network and the transportation network(TN)is deepening gradually with the increasing penetration rate of electric vehicles(EV),which also poses a great challenge to the traditional voltage control *** this paper,we propose a coordinated voltage control strategy for the active distribution networks considering multiple types of *** the first stage,the action of on-load tap changer and capacitor banks,etc.,are determined by optimal power flow calculation,and the node electricity price is also determined based on dynamic time-of-use tariff *** the second stage,multiple operating scenarios of multiple types of EVs such as cabs,private cars and buses are considered,and the scheduling results of each EV are solved by building an optimization model based on constraints such as queuing theory,Floyd-Warshall algorithm and traffic flow *** the third stage,the output power of photovoltaic and energy storage systems is fine-tuned in the normal control *** charging power of EVs is also regulated in the emergency control mode to reduce the voltage deviation,and the amount of regulation is calculated based on the fair voltage control mode of ***,we test the modified IEEE 33-bus distribution system coupled with the 24-bus Beijing *** simulation results show that the proposed scheme can mitigate voltage violations well.

Abstract The development of physically crosslinked hydrogels with excellent mechanical and sensing properties is of importance for expanding the practical applications of intelligent soft hydrogel ***,after copolymerization of hydroxyl-containing amino acid derivative N-acryloyl serine(ASer)with acrylamide(AM),we introduce Zr4+through an immersion strategy to construct metal ion-toughened non-covalent crosslinked hydrogels(with tensile strength of up to 5.73 MPa).It is found that the synergistic coordination of hydroxyl and carboxyl groups with Zr^(4+)substantially increases the crosslinking density of the hydrogels,thereby imparting markedly superior mechanical properties compared to hydroxyl-free Zr^(4+)-crosslinked hydrogels,such as N-acryloyl alanine(AAla)copolymerized with AM hydrogels(with tensile strength of 2.98 MPa)Through the adjustment of the composition of the copolymer and the density of coordination bonds,the mechanical properties of the hydrogels can be modulated over a wide ***,due to the introduction of metal ions and the dynamic nature of coordination bonds,the hydrogels also exhibit excellent sensing performance and good self-recovery properties,paving the way for the development of flexible electronic substrates with outstanding comprehensive performances.

Nuciferine alleviates collagen-induced arthritic in rats by inhibiting the proliferation and invasion of human arthritis-derived fibroblast-like synoviocytes and rectifying Th17/Treg imbalance

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a chronic autoimmune disorder marked by persistent synovial inflammation and joint degradation,posing challenges in the development of effective ***,an alkaloid found in lotus leaf,has shown promising anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor effects,yet its efficacy in RA treatment remains *** study investigated the antiproliferative effects of nuciferine on the MH7A cell line,a human RA-derived fibroblast-like synoviocyte,revealing its ability to inhibit cell proliferation,promote apoptosis,induce apoptosis,and cause G1/S phase ***,nuciferine significantly reduced the migration and invasion capabilities of MH7A *** therapeutic potential of nuciferine was further evaluated in a collagen-induced arthritis(CIA)rat model,where it markedly alleviated joint swelling,synovial hyperplasia,cartilage injury,and inflammatory *** also improved collagen-induced bone erosion,decreased pro-inflammatory cytokines and serum immunoglobulins(IgG,IgG1,IgG2a),and restored the balance between T helper(Th)17 and regulatory T cells in the spleen of CIA *** results indicate that nuciferine may offer therapeutic advantages for RA by decreasing the proliferation and invasiveness of FLS cells and correcting the Th17/Treg cell imbalance in CIA rats.

Development of a new Cox model for predicting long-term survival in hepatitis cirrhosis patients underwent transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts

BACKGROUND Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)placement is a procedure that can effectively treat complications of portal hypertension,such as variceal bleeding and refractory ***,there have been no specific studies on predicting long-term survival after TIPS *** To establish a model to predict long-term survival in patients with hepatitis cirrhosis after *** A retrospective analysis was conducted on a cohort of 224 patients who un-derwent TIPS *** univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses,various factors were examined for their ability to predict survival at 6 years after ***,a composite score was formulated,encompassing the indication,shunt reasonability,portal venous pressure gradient(PPG)after TIPS,percentage decrease in portal venous pressure(PVP),indocyanine green retention rate at 15 min(ICGR15)and total bilirubin(Tbil)***,the performance of the newly developed Cox(NDC)model was evaluated in an in-ternal validation cohort and compared with that of a series of existing *** The indication(variceal bleeding or ascites),shunt reasonability(reasonable or unreasonable),ICGR15,post-operative PPG,percentage of PVP decrease and Tbil were found to be independent factors affecting long-term survival after TIPS *** NDC model incorporated these parameters and successfully identified patients at high risk,exhibiting a notably elevated mortality rate following the TIPS procedure,as observed in both the training and validation ***,in terms of predicting the long-term survival rate,the performance of the NDC model was significantly better than that of the other four models[Child-Pugh,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD),MELD-sodium and the Freiburg index of post-TIPS survival].CONCLUSION The NDC model can accurately predict long-term survival after the TIPS procedure in patients with hepatitis cirrhosis,help identify high-risk patients

Structural Evolution of Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene Low-Entangled Films with Reserved Shish Crystals During Hot Stretching

Shish crystals are crucial to achieving high performance low-dimensional ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene(UHMWPE)***,high stretch and shear flow fields are necessary for the formation of shish *** this study,UHMWPE gel films with reserved shish crystals were prepared by gel molding,the structural evolution and properties of UHMWPE films stretched at temperatu res of 100,110,120and 130℃were investigated by in situ small-angle X-ray scattering(SAXS)/ultra-small-angle X-ray scattering(USAXS)/wide-angle X-ray diffraction(WAXD)measu rements as well as scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)*** findings showed that the reserved shish crystals can facilitate the formation and structural evolution of shish-kebab crystals during the hot ***,the reserved shish crystals promote the structu ral evolution of UHMWPE films to a greater extent when stretched at 120 and 130℃,compared to 100 and 110℃,resulting in higher crystallinity,orientation,thermal properties,breaking strength and Young's *** pared to UHMWPE high-entangled films with reserved shish crystals prepared by compression molding,UHMWPE low-entangled films with reserved shish crystals prepared by gel molding are more effective in inducing the formation and evolution of shish-kebab crystals during the hot stretching,resulting in increased breaking strength and Young's modulus.
