Humans and plants have become enfolded and *** stresses in particular oxidative stress caused by heavy-metal ions or high-level salt contamination deleteriously impact plants’growth process and have become a major threat to sustaining food *** is the first step in plants’growth *** plant sprouts endure oxidative stress induced by toxic heavy-metal ions or high-level salt,accelerated generation of reactive oxygen species(e.g.,H_(2)O_(2))occurs inside plant sprouts;hence in-situ H_(2)O_(2) in plant sprouts could serve as the in-vivo biomarker for tracking the oxidative stress in plant ***,we design an activatable probe CT-XA-H_(2)O_(2) to track the oxidative stress in plant sprouts via in vivo NIR-Ⅱ fluorescent *** CT-XA-H_(2)O_(2),cyano-thiazole acts as the electron-accepting moiety and xanthane-aminodiphenyl as the electron-donating moiety,and dioxaborolane as the biomarker-responsive unit and fluorescence *** probe CT-XA-H_(2)O_(2) shows weak fluorescent *** H_(2)O_(2) is present,the dioxaborolane in the probe is cleaved,consequently,the dye CT-XA-OH is generated and brings about significant fluorescent signals for detecting and imaging the in-situ ***,the aminodiphenyl group endues the chromophore(the activated probe)with aggregation-induced emission characteristics,which ensures stronger fluorescence in the aggregated state in the aqueous *** probe CT-XA-H_(2)O_(2) has been employed in the Cd^(2+)-ion or high-level salt(NaCl)induced oxidative stress models of soybean sprouts and peanut sprouts,and the experimental results evidently reveal the probe’s ability for in-situ biomarker-activatable in-vivo detection and imaging in the plants’sprouts.

The fruit and vegetable picking has posed a great challenge on the production and markets during the harvest *** picking cannot fully meet the rapid requirements of each market,mainly due to the high labor-intensive and time-consuming tasks,even the aging and shortage of agricultural labor force in recent ***,smart robotics can be an efficient solution to increase the planting areas for the markets in combination with changes in cultivation,preservation,and processing ***,some improvements still need to be performed on these picking *** document the progress in and current status of this field,this study performed a bibliometric *** analysis evaluated the current performance characteristics of various fruit and vegetable picking robots for better prospects in the *** perspectives were proposed covering the robotic arms,end effectors,vision systems,picking environments,and picking performance for the large-scale mechanized production of fruits and vegetables in modern *** current problems of fruit and vegetable picking robots were ***,the outlook of the fruit and vegetable picking robots prospected from four aspects:structured environment for fruit planting,the algorithm of recognition and positioning,picking efficiency,and cost-saving picking *** study comprehensively assesses the current research status,thus helping researchers steer their projects or locate potential collaborators.

Improvement of gelation properties of myofibrillar proteins from porcine longissimus dorsi muscle through microwave combined with air convection thawing treatment

The effects of the microwave combined with air convection thawing(MAT)on the gelling properties of pork myofibrillar proteins(MPs)were further studied and compared with those of fresh meat(FM),and single thawing methods(microwave thawing(MT)and air convection thawing(AT)).Results revealed that the thawing methods,excluding MAT,induced deterioration in the gelling properties of *** was no significant difference(p>0.05)in the water holding capacity(WHC),cooking loss,whiteness,and strength of gel samples subjected to MAT and those of FM samples,demonstrating that the gelling properties were retained after *** well,protein aggregation was limited,since MAT reduced the change in zeta potential and turbidity compared to that observed with MT or *** dynamic rheology and scanning electron microscopic results were relatively consistent,revealing that among the different thawing techniques,MAT had the least negative impact on the microstructure of MPs gel,leading to the generation of a more elastic and uniform gel structure than that of the MT or AT ***,MAT resulted in higher water retention in the gels than that achieved with MT or *** findings indicated that MAT improved the gelling properties of MPs,thereby confirming the suitability of this treatment for use in the meat processing industry.

Immune adaptive Gaussian mixture particle filter for state estimation

The particle filter （PF） is a flexible and powerful sequen- tial Monte Carlo （SMC） technique capable of modeling nonlinear, non-Gaussian, and nonstationary dynamical systems. However, the generic PF suffers from particle degeneracy and sample im- poverishment, which greatly affects its performance for nonlinear, non-Gaussian tracking problems. To deal with those issues, an improved PF is proposed. The algorithm consists of a PF that uses an immune adaptive Gaussian mixture model （IAGM） based immune algorithm to re-approximate the posterior density. At the same time, three immune antibody operators are embed in the new filter. Instead of using a resample strategy, the newest obser- vation and conditional likelihood are integrated into those immune antibody operators to update the particles, which can further im- prove the diversity of particles, and drive particles toward their close local maximum of the posterior probability. The improved PF algorithm can produce a closed-form expression for the posterior state distribution. Simulation results show the proposed algorithm can maintain the effectiveness and diversity of particles and avoid sample impoverishment, and its performance is superior to several PFs and Kalman filters.

BACKGROUND Primary Sjogren's syndrome(pSS)is an autoimmune disease,and renal involvement has been considered to be one of the systemic complications of *** who have sjogren's syndrome with renal disease as the first manifestation and no exocrine gland involvement or autoantibodies can be missed *** SUMMARY We here in report an unusual case of a primary Sjogren's syndrome in a 43-yearold female who had minimal lesion nephropathy as the initial presentation,and the patient was negative for serum anti-SSA and anti-SSB antibodies and did not have signs of exocrine gland *** patient’s Sjogren's syndrome was confirmed by a minor salivary gland biopsy(MSGB)and a filter paper *** patient’s oedema subsided,and the patient’s urinary protein resolved,showing that the treatment was *** MSGB should be considered if pSS is suspected in patients who do not have the typical pSS symptoms or who are positive for the specific autoantibodies.

Film cooling,as one efficient active cooling method,will hopefully be used in‘hypersonic vehicles’in the *** hypersonic vehicle's surface is more likely a flat plate than a blunt body,so the cooling characteristics of two-dimensional(2-D)film cooling over a flat plate in hypersonic flow are studied using both theoretical analysis and numerical methods.A cooling efficiency calculation formula under a hypersonic condition is obtained and the numerical results show that it has great predicting *** with the low-speed main-flow condition,several differences exist in the hypersonic main-flow condition.A parameter called the‘generalized turbulent mixing coefficient’is introduced and its approximate value range is given based on numerical results.

A memetic algorithm based on hyper-heuristics for examination timetabling problems

Purpose–The examination timetabling problem is an NP-hard problem.A large number of approaches for this problem are developed to find more appropriate search ***-heuristic is a kind of representative *** hyper-heuristic,the high-level search is executed to construct heuristic lists by traditional methods(such as Tabu search,variable neighborhoods and so on).The purpose of this paper is to apply the evolutionary strategy instead of traditional methods for high-level search to improve the capability of global ***/methodology/approach–This paper combines hyper-heuristic with evolutionary strategy to solve examination timetabling ***,four graph coloring heuristics are employed to construct heuristic *** the evolutionary algorithm framework,the iterative initialization is utilized to improve the number of feasible solutions in the population;meanwhile,the crossover and mutation operators are applied to find potential heuristic lists in the heuristic space(high-level search).At last,two local search methods are combined to optimize the feasible solutions in the solution space(low-level search).Findings–Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach obtains competitive results and outperforms the compared approaches on some benchmark ***/value–The contribution of this paper is the development of a framework which combines evolutionary algorithm and hyper-heuristic for examination timetabling problems.
