Alkalicarbonate-based sorbents(ACSs),including Na_(2)CO_(3)-and K2CO_(3)-based sorbents,are promising for CO_(2)***,the complex sorbent components and operation conditions lead to the versatile kinetics of CO_(2)sorption on these *** paper proposed that operando modeling and measurements are powerful tools to understand the mechanism of sorbents in real operating conditions,facilitating the sorbent development,reactor design,and operation parameter *** reviewed the theoretical simulation achievements during the development of *** elucidated the findings obtained by utilizing density functional theory(DFT)calculations,ab initio molecular dynamics(AIMD)simulations,and classical molecular dynamics(CMD)simulations as *** hygroscopicity of sorbent and the humidity of gas flow are crucial to shifting the carbonation reaction from the gas-solid mode to the gas-liquid mode,boosting the ***,it briefly introduced a machine learning(ML)approach as a promising method to aid sorbent ***,it demonstrated a conceptual compact operando measurement system in order to understand the behavior of ACSs in the real operation *** proposed measurement system includes a micro fluidizedbed(MFB)reactor for kinetic analysis,a multi-camera sub-system for 3D particle movement tracking,and a combined Raman and IR sub-system for solid/gas components and temperature *** is believed that this system is useful to evaluate the real-time sorbent performance,validating the theoretical prediction and promoting the industrial scale-up of ACSs for CO_(2)capture.

The Al-pillared montmorillonite-supported alkaline earth metal 5M/Al-PILC(PILC = pillared clay, M = Mg, Ca, Sr, and Ba) and x Mg/Al-PILC( x = 1, 3, 5, and 7 wt.%) samples were prepared using an impregnation method. Physical properties of the materials were determined by means of X-ray diffraction(XRD) and N2 adsorption-desorption, and their CO2 adsorption behaviors were investigated using the thermogravimetric analyzer(TG), CO2 temperatureprogrammed desorption(CO2-TPD), and in situ diffuse reflectance infrared transform spectroscopy(in situ-DRIFTS) techniques. It is shown that 5 Mg/Al-PILC possessed the highest CO2 adsorption capacity(2.559 mmol/g). The characterization results indicate that Alpillaring increased the specific surface area of montmorillonite, which was beneficial for the adsorption of CO2. The CO2 adsorption process on the sample was mainly chemical adsorption, and alkalinity was the main factor influencing its adsorption capacity. The alkalinity of the sample was enhanced by loading an appropriate amount of alkaline earth metal, and the adsorbed CO2 was present in the form of bicarbonate and carbonate. In addition, the 5Mg/Al-PILC sample exhibited an excellent regeneration efficiency. We believe that the outcome of this research would provide a good option for developing highly effective CO2 adsorption materials.

Osmotic pressure is vital to many physiological activities,such as cell proliferation,wound healing and disease ***,how cells interact with the extracellular matrix(ECM)when subjected to osmotic shock remains ***,we visualize the mechanical interactions between cells and the ECM during osmotic shock by quantifying the dynamic evolution of the cell traction *** show that both hypertonic and hypotonic shocks induce continuous and large changes in cell traction ***,the traction force varies with cell volume:the traction force increases as cells shrink and decreases as cells ***,the direction of the traction force is independent of cell volume changes and is always toward the center of the cell-substrate ***,we reveal a mechanical mechanism in which the change in cortical tension caused by osmotic shock leads to the variation in traction force,which suggests a simple method for measuring changes in cell cortical *** findings provide new insights into the mechanical force response of cells to the external environment and may provide a deeper understanding of how the ECM regulates cell structure and function.

In this paper,we propose a novel Intrusion Detection System (IDS) architecture utilizing both the evidence theory and Rough Set Theory (RST). Evidence theory is an effective tool in dealing with uncertainty question. It relies on the expert knowledge to provide evidences,needing the evidences to be independent,and this make it difficult in application. To solve this problem,a hybrid system of rough sets and evidence theory is proposed. Firstly,simplification are made based on Variable Precision Rough Set (VPRS) conditional entropy. Thus,the Basic Belief Assignment (BBA) for all evidences can be calculated. Secondly,Dempster’s rule of combination is used,and a decision-making is given. In the proposed approach,the difficulties in acquiring the BBAs are solved,the correlativity among the evidences is reduced and the subjectivity of evidences is weakened. An illustrative example in an intrusion detection shows that the two theories combination is feasible and effective.

The microstructural evolution of purity Pd under 30 keV He^(+)irradiation at 573 K was investigated by in-situ transmission electron *** nucleation,growth,merging,annihilation,size change,number density variation,and types of dislocation loops were analyzed under the influence of irradiation fluence and sample *** perfect dislocation loops with b=1/2and faulted dislocation loops with b=1/3were ***,at low irradiation fluence,most of the loops were 1/3*** thickness of TEM foil obviously affected the ratio of 1/3loop variants,the size and number density of dislocation loops,and the characteristics of bubble-loop *** the increase of irradiation fluence,the size of dislocation loops increased,but loop volume number density remained almost constant until dislocation loops merged and evolved into dislocation *** was an obvious interaction between dislocation loops and bubbles,indicating that 1/3loop was first formed at the initial stage of irradiation,and when the loop grew to a certain size,obvious helium bubbles appeared inside its region.

Ferric-chelate reductase which functions in the reduction of ferric to ferrous iron on root surface is a critical protein for iron ho- meostasis in strategy I plants. LeFROI is a major ferric-chelate reductase involved in iron uptake in tomato. To identify the natural variations of LeFRO1 and to assess their effect on the ferric-chelate reductase activity, we cloned the coding sequences of LeFRO1 from 16 tomato varieties collected from different regions, and detected three types of LeFRO1 （LeFRO1MM, LeFRO1Ailsa and LeFRO1Monita） with five amino acid variations at the positions 21, 24, 112, 195 and 582. Enzyme activity assay revealed that the three types of LeFRO1 possessed different ferric-chelate reductase activity （LeFRO1AiISa 〉 LeFRO1MM 〉 LeFRO1M^nita）. The 112th amino acid residue Ala of LeFRO1 is critical for maintaining the high activity of ferric-chelate reductase, because modification of this amino acid resulted in a significant reduction of enzyme activity. Further, we showed that the combination of the amino acid residue lie at the site 24 with Lys at the site 582 played a positive role in the enzyme activity of LeFRO1. In conclusion, the findings are helpful to understand the natural adaptation mechanisms of plants to iron-limiting stress, and may provide new knowledge to select and manipulate LeFRO1 for improving the iron deficiency tolerance in tomato.
