Preparation of Novel Side-chain Pseudopolyrotaxanes Consisting of Cucurbituril[6] and Polyamine Salts

Pseudorotaxane monomer （VBCB） containing cucurbitutil[6] （CB[6]） and N^1-（4-vinylbenzyl）-1,4-diaminobutane dihydrochloride （VBDADC） is obtained by self-assembly of cucurbituril[6] with VBDADC in water and then polymerized using potassium persulfate （KPS） as initiator to give novel water-soluble side-chain cucurbituril[6]-based pseudopolyrotaxane（PVBCB）. The chemical structures of PVBCB, VBCB and VBDADC are confirmed by ^1H NMR,^13C NMR spectra and elemental analysis. In VBCB, CB[6] is localized aliphatic group of the side chain and the molar ratio of CB[6] to VBDAC is 1：1 .

Novel double hydrophilic block copolymers with amine pendant chains were synthesized by polymerization of 4-vinyl benzylamine hydrochloric salt using 4,4′-azo-bis[4-cyanopentanoate poly（ethylene glycol） ester] as macroazoinitiator. The structures of the copolymers were characterized by ^1H NMR, FTIR spectra and acid-base titration, GPC-MALS techniques.

pH and temperature responsive copolymers PNAM4VBCB of N-isopropyl acrylamide（NAM） and complex pseudorotaxane monomer N 1-（4-vinylbenzyl）-1,4-diaminobutane dihydrochloride with cucurbit[6]uril（CB[6]） threaded（4VBCB） were prepared via free-radical polymerization in aqueous *** copolymers were characterized by 1 H NMR,Fourier transform infrared（FTIR） spectrometry,elemental analysis,and static light *** thermodynamic properties of the copolymers were studied by thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）,and the effects of pH and the concentration of the copolymer on the average hydrodynamic radius（R h） were studied by dynamic light scattering（DLS）.In addition,the thermal sensitivities of the copolymers were studied by DLS and *** experiment data show that CB[6] beads are localized on 1,4-diaminobutane units in the side chains of the *** data show that thermal stability of the copolymers increases with the adding of CB[6] threaded because of the enhanced rigidity and the bulky steric hindrance of 4VBCB in the side chain of *** data show that the average hydrodynamic radius of copolymer increases with the increase of the copolymer concentration and has a jump with adjusting pH due to the existing of the small size CB[6] dethreaded from the copolymer with increasing *** pH and electrical conductivity curves of the solution of PNAM4VBCB-4 have a jump because CB[6] could dethread from the copolymers with the addition of *** addition,the copolymers have thermal sensitivity and their phase-change temperatures could be controlled by adjusting the molar ratio of NAM to 4VBCB in the copolymers.

Fracture is the primary failure type for the UO2ceramic pellets,which are operated under irradiation and thermal processes,and physically confined by the *** this work,by combining closely coupled physical processes of heat conduction,heat transfer,and mechanical deformation with the cohesive phase field framework,we proposed a high-precision modeling of quasistatic cracking of three-dimensional （3D） UO2ceramic fuel pellets under high temperature and *** simulation results agree well with the experimental results,indicating that the proposed method has the potential to capture 3D crack modes in the interested time ***,we studied the relation of the 3D fracture patterns of fuel pellets with the peak power *** was found that the power level plays a critical role in determining the competition between radial and circumferential cracks,as well as transverse penetrating cracks.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a rare neurodegenerative disease characterized by the involvement of both upper and lower motor *** bilateral limb involvement significantly affects patients'daily lives and may lead them to be confined to ***,the effect of upper and lower motor neuron impairment and other risk factors on bilateral limb involvement is *** address this issue,we retrospectively collected data from 586 amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset diagnosed at Peking University Third Hospital between January 2020 and May 2022.A univariate analysis revealed no significant differences in the time intervals of spread in different directions between individuals with upper motor neuron-dominant amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and those with classic amyotrophic lateral *** used causal directed acyclic graphs for risk factor determination and Cox proportional hazards models to investigate the association between the duration of bilateral limb involvement and clinical baseline characteristics in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis *** factor analyses revealed that higher upper motor neuron scores(hazard ratio[HR]=1.05,95%confidence interval[CI]=1.01–1.09,P=0.018),onset in the left limb(HR=0.72,95%CI=0.58–0.89,P=0.002),and a horizontal pattern of progression(HR=0.46,95%CI=0.37–0.58,P<0.001)were risk factors for a shorter interval until bilateral limb *** results demonstrated that a greater degree of upper motor neuron involvement might cause contralateral limb involvement to progress more quickly in limb-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis *** findings may improve the management of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis patients with limb onset and the prediction of patient prognosis.

Synthesis and Characterization of pH-Responsive Block Copolymers with Primary Amine Groups

A new pH-responsive block copolymer, methoxy poly（ethylene glycol）-b-poly[5-methacrylamido- pentylamine hydrochloride]（mPEG-b-PMAAPA） was synthesized and characterized in this paper. The monomer 5-methacrylamido-pentylamine hydrochloride（MAAPA） and the macroinitiator（mPEG-ACVA） were synthesized, re- spectively, and mPEG-b-PMAAPA was then obtained by free radical polymerization. The structure and molecular weight of mPEG-b-PMAAPA were cont]rmed by hydrogen nuclear magnetic resonance（~H NMR） spectroscopy and gel permeation chromatography with multiangle laser light scattering（GPC-MALLS） measurements. At a low pH, it is hydrophilic due to the protonation of the primary amine groups. With increasing pH value, deprotonation occurs and the hydrophobicity of PMAAPA block increases. This molecular feature leads to interesting aggregation behavior of mPEG-b-PMAAPA in aqueous solutions at different pH values as revealed by dynamic light scattering（DLS） measurements, transmission electron microscopy（TEM） observations and resonance light scattering（RLS） measure- ments.
