Sero-Prevalence of Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus Antibodies in Sudanese Sheep and Goats before and after Vaccination

Peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) antibodies were studied in Sudanese sheep and goats (n = 855) before and after vaccination with a locally produced Nigeria 75/1 vaccine using a commercial competitive ELISA (cELISA) kit. Animals were kept healthy under field conditions, in four states: Blue Nile (n = 250), North Kordofan (n = 189), South Darfur (n = 225) and the Northern State (n = 191). Before vaccination, the overall sero-prevalence of PPRV antibodies was 54.6% (53.2% - 56%, 95% CI);high (64.8% - 76.4%, 95% CI) in Blue Nile State, medium (50.5% - 61.9%, 95% CI) in North Kordofan State and South Darfur State and low (28.6% - 35.2% 95%, CI) in Northern State. In high-risk areas (high sero-prevalence), Blue Nile (70.4%) and North Kordofan (57.7%), middle age groups (7 - 12 and 13 - 18 months) were identified as high-risk age. middle age groups showed lower sero-prevalence than preceding (3 - 6 months) and subsequent (>18 months) age groups while the risk of exposure increased with age. Current and previous findings suggested a transmission pathway of PPRV involving the South Eastern border (Blue Nile) and neighbouring Central Sudan to North Kordofan. One month after vaccination 88.4% (343/388) of sero-negative animals were sero-converted suggesting the efficacy of the locally produced Nigeria 75/1 vaccine. Even if only individuals in the high-risk age group (7 - 18 months) were vaccinated, the overall population immunity (OPI) in high-risk areas (the Blue Nile and North Kordofan) would have surpassed the threshold of 70%, which is indicated for blocking PPRV transmission. However, lower vaccination coverage is expected in wider vaccination programmes. These findings primarily justified the targeting of PPR control in Sudan through the vaccination of high-risk age groups in high-risk areas.

In this study,a compact 2×2 interlaced sequentially rotated dual-polarized dielectric-resonator antenna array is proposed for 5.8 GHz *** array is composed of a novel unit elements that are made of rectangular dielectric resonator(RDR)coupled to an eye slot for generating the orthogonal modes,TEδx 21 and TE1yδ1 to acquire circular polarization(CP)*** the purpose of miniaturization and achieving dual polarized resonance,the array is fed by two interlaced ports and each port excites two radiating *** first port feeds horizontal elements to obtain left hand circular polarization(LHCP).The second port feeds vertical elements to obtain right hand circular polarization(RHCP).A quarter-wave length transformer is employed to reduce the attenuation and consequently increase the array gain *** 35×35 mm2(0.676λ0×0.676λ0)gains were 8.4 and 8.2 dBi for port 1 and port 2,respectively,with port isolations of−33.51 *** design achieves a voltage standing-wave ratio(VSWR)m band applications.

Assessing Secure OpenID-Based EAAA Protocol to Prevent mITm and Phishing Attacks in Web Apps

To secure web applications from man-In-The-middle(mITm)and phishing attacks is a challenging task *** this purpose,authen-tication protocol plays a vital role in web communication which securely transfers data from one party to *** authentication works via OpenID,Kerberos,password authentication protocols,***,there are still some limitations present in the reported security *** this paper,the presented anticipated strategy secures both Web-based attacks by leveraging encoded emails and a novel password form pattern *** proposed OpenID-based encrypted Email’s Authentication,Authorization,and Accounting(EAAA)protocol ensure security by relying on the email authenticity and a Special Secret Encrypted Alphanumeric String(SSEAS).This string is deployed on both the relying party and the email server,which is unique and *** first authentication,OpenID Uniform Resource Locator(URL)identity,is performed on the identity provider side.A second authentication is carried out by the hidden Email’s server side and receives a third authentication *** Email’s third SSEAS authentication link manages on the relying party(RP).Compared to existing cryptographic single sign-on protocols,the EAAA protocol ensures that an OpenID URL’s identity is secured from mITm and phishing *** study manages two attacks such as mITm and phishing attacks and gives 339 ms response time which is higher than the already reported methods,such as Single Sign-On(SSO)and *** experimental sites were examined by 72 information technology(IT)specialists,who found that 88.89%of respondents successfully validated the user authorization provided to them via *** proposed EAAA protocol minimizes the higher-level risk of mITm and phishing attacks in an OpenID-based atmosphere.

Traditional farming procedures are time-consuming and expensive as based on manual labor. Farmers haveno proper knowledge to select which crop is suitable to grow according to the environmental factors and soilcharacteristics. This is the main reason for the low yield of crops and the economic crisis in the agricultural sectorof the different countries. The use of modern technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning,and ensemble learning can facilitate farmers to observe different factors such as soil electrical conductivity (EC),and environmental factors like temperature to improve crop yield. These parameters play a vital role in suggestinga suitable crop to cope the food scarcity. This paper proposes a systemcomprised of twomodules, first module usesstatic data and the second module takes hybrid data collection (IoT-based real-time data and manual data) withmachine learning and ensemble learning algorithms to suggest the suitable crop in the farm to maximize the *** is used to train the model that predicts the crop. This system proposed an intelligent and low-cost solutionfor the farmers to process the data and predict the suitable *** implemented the proposed system in the *** efficiency and accuracy of the proposed system are confirmed by the generated results to predict the crop.

Concentrating solar power technology is one of the most promising alternative energy *** recent past,Linear Fresnel Reflector systems have received great attention and novel designs have been proposed keeping in view the objective to enhance its functionality and *** achieving the same objective,this study presents a novel concept where a conventional LFR is enclosed in a greenhouse called *** was expected that such an enclosure can:(1)increase the incoming solar radiation,(2)further improve the overall efficiency due to simplified cleaning process and(3)reduce the capital cost for the construction of LFR support system.A complete thermal and optical analysis was presented for modeling and performance evaluation of the solar field of both conventional-LFR and novel *** of non-linear equations for each system were solved using Newton-Raphson *** detailed optical analysis was further performed for conventional-LFR considering the seasonal *** results concluded that the greenhouse-LFR is better than the conventional-LFR as it had higher efficiency and useful heat with lesser heat *** greenhouse-LFR,the maximum thermal efficiency was 73.2%whereas for conventional-LFR it was 37.2%.Also,there was an average increase of useful heat by 3 times in the month of February and 4.7 times in the month of ***^(Tm) analysis indicated significant spillage loss when a conventional-LFR was used without a secondary reflector or slight curvature of the mirrors.

The Internet revolution has resulted in abundant data from various sources,including social media,traditional media,*** the availability of data is no longer an issue,data labelling for exploiting it in supervised machine learning is still an expensive process and involves tedious human *** overall purpose of this study is to propose a strategy to automatically label the unlabeled textual data with the support of active learning in combination with deep *** specifically,this study assesses the performance of different active learning strategies in automatic labelling of the textual dataset at sentence and document *** achieve this objective,different experiments have been performed on the publicly available *** first set of experiments,we randomly choose a subset of instances from training dataset and train a deep neural network to assess performance on test *** the second set of experiments,we replace the random selection with different active learning strategies to choose a subset of the training dataset to train the same model and reassess its performance on test *** experimental results suggest that different active learning strategies yield performance improvement of 7% on document level datasets and 3%on sentence level datasets for auto labelling.

To maximize energy profit with the participation of electricity,natural gas,and district heating networks in the day-ahead market,stochastic scheduling of energy hubs taking into account the uncertainty of photovoltaic and wind resources,has been carried *** has been done using a new meta-heuristic algorithm,improved artificial rabbits optimization(IARO).In this study,the uncertainty of solar and wind energy sources is modeled using Hang’s two-point estimating method(TPEm).The IARO algorithm is applied to calculate the best capacity of hub energy equipment,such as solar and wind renewable energy sources,combined heat and power(CHP)systems,steamboilers,energy storage,and electric cars in the *** standard ARO algorithmis developed to mimic the foraging behavior of rabbits,and in this work,the algorithm’s effectiveness in avoiding premature convergence is improved by using the dystudynamic inertia weight *** proposed IARO-based scheduling framework’s performance is evaluated against that of traditional ARO,particle swarm optimization(PSO),and salp swarm algorithm(SSA).The findings show that,in comparison to previous approaches,the suggested meta-heuristic scheduling framework based on the IARO has increased energy profit in day-ahead electricity,gas,and heating markets by satisfying the operational and energy hub ***,the results show that TPEm approach dependability consideration decreased hub energy’s profit by 8.995%as compared to deterministic planning.
