This paper proposes a PMU （phasor measurement unit） based monitoring and estimation scheme of power system small-signal stability in Singapore-Malaysia interconnection power system through a 50-Hz and 500 kV transmission line. Two PMUs are installed in the power system interconnection network of Singapore-Malaysia. One PMU is located in Singapore and the other one in Malaysia （Penang）. Both PMUs measure the single-phase voltage phasor. The data filtering technique based on FFT （Fast Fourier Transform） is employed to extract oscillation data for single mode. Finally, some analysis results of monitoring and estimation of Singapore-Malaysia interconnected power system based on application practice of the CampusWAMS are presented and analyzed.

This paper considers a theory and practices of Japanese manabi （学） as an alternative concept of learning in the era of post-globalization. Although the term manabi is widely used as the translation of learning and Lernen in the field of pedagogy and in Japanese schools, it is important to understand its meaning, since the meaning of manabi is a comprehensive concept that differs semantically from the words learning, Lernen, and Bildung in the Western words. Faced with the globalization in the 21st century, there has been a tendency to promote educational reform and curriculum policies that could be characterized as ＂learnification＂ in which ＂21st century skills,＂＂competency-based learning,＂ and ＂learner-centered education＂ are emphasized. While the Western idea of learning that highlights active self is attractive to change classroom practices from the transmission of knowledge to an innovative style of active, collaborative, communicative learning, and problem-solving, Japanese education sustains traditional values that derive from selflessness and nothingness in Eastern philosophy.

Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF)-producing tumor is one of the rare types of cancer clinically characterized by an elevated fever and white blood cell(WBC) increment. Although G-CSF producing tumors have been reported in several types of cancer including those of the lungs, cervix and bladder, G-CSF producing hepatocellular carcinoma is extremely rare. Here, we report the case of a rapidly growing and poorly differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma producing G-CSF. The patient showed symptoms of continuous high fever, stomach pain and cough, and high serum WBC counts, C-reactive protein(CRP) and G-CSF levels were found in laboratory tests. After a radical hepatectomy, the patient completely recovered from the above symptoms and inflammatory state. The serum levels of G-CSF were reduced to normal levels after radical surgery. An immunohistochemical analysis revealed the overexpression of G-CSF in the cytoplasm of certain hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) cell. The patient's serum WBC, CRP and G-CSF levels remained within normal levels in the six months after surgery without recurrence. This is the 9^(th) case report of G-CSF producing hepatocellular carcinoma in English literature. We review the clinical characteristics of the G-CSF producing HCC and discuss a possible treatment strategy.

We developed an IT （Information Technology） triage system for collecting disaster medical information in real time. FeliCa cards and card readers are used to obtain the number and condition of patients. The system is composed of two elements. First, the number of patients for each triage level and the accepted number of patients in each diagnosis and treatment department are obtained in real time, including response for changing triage level. Second, this information is shared in real time among hospitals, the admim＇stration, and residents who are searching for their family. A disaster drill utilizing this system was held at the University of Yamanashi Hospital with 450 participants. From the result of that, the present system could work for those two elements. TRACY was examined its availability and practicability in this drill.

四湖地区是长江中游江汉平原的重要湖泊分布区,在历史时期湖泊分布广阔,是著名的云梦泽的主体。由于江湖关系演变和人类活动的影响,湖泊面积变化迅速,尤以20世纪为甚。在野外调查和历史文献分析的基础上,利用不同时期的水利图、地形图、遥感影像图作为基本信息源,在GIS技术支持下,提取湖泊面积信息,对四湖地区近百年湖泊水域变化进行了研究。结果显示,从20世纪20年代开始湖泊面积和个数呈先增加后减少的趋势,50年代处于鼎盛时期,50年代初期到70年代初期迅速减少,70年代至2000年减幅明显减缓。这种动态变化是自然因素和人类活动综合作用的结果,人类活动的作用更为突出。针对湖泊水域日益减少的现状,应加强对湖泊资源的保护力度,并在此基础上进行合理开发和利用。

ASET, Association of Super-advanced Electronics Technologies, has been taking the initiative in developing EUV lithography technology in Japan for the past three years. The aspherical mirror metrology using a visible light point diffraction interferometer (PDI), the wave front measurement using an at-wavelength PDI, and an at wavelength reflectometry for multilayers, various imaging simulations, multilayer coatings for the mask, the development of absorber materials for mask patterning, the mask substrate cleaning technique, and various photoresist processes have been developed. The visible light PDI employs a 0.5-μm pinhole as an aperture to generate an ideal spherical wave front and can measure a 0.3-N A mirror maximum. The at-wavelength PDI can measure the wave front error of the projection optics. The at-wavelength reflectometer can measure the reflectivity of multilayers and the round-robin test is taking place among ASET, the ALS in Lawrence Berkeley, and BESSY in Germany. The mask cleaning technique employs a supersonic hydro-cleaning technique. We have confirmed that the single layer resists can be used for EUV lithography.

In recent years, the penetration of renewable energy sources (RES) is increasing due to energy and environmental issues, causing several problems in the power system. These problems are usually more apparent in microgrids. One of the problems that could arise is frequency stability issue due to lack of inertia in microgrids. Lack of inertia in such system can lead to system instability when a large disturbance occurs in the system. To solve this issue, providing inertia support to the microgrids by a virtual synchronous generator (VSG) utilizing energy storage system is a promising method. In applying VSG, one important aspect is regarding the set value of the active power output from the VSG. The amount of allocated active power during normal operation should be determined carefully so that the frequency of microgrids could be restored to the allowable limits, as close as possible to the nominal value. In this paper, active power allocation of VSG using particle swarm optimization (PSO) is presented. The results show that by using VSG supported by active power allocation determined by the method, frequency stability and dynamic stability of the system could be improved.

BACKGROUND Dedifferentiated chondrosarcoma(DDCS)accounts for 10%of all chondrosarcomas and has the poorest outcome,with a 5-year survival rate of 7%-25%.DDCS commonly occurs in the femur and pelvis,whereas DDCS of the finger is extremely ***,the histological findings of preexisting solitary enchondroma samples are important and valuable for diagnosing malignant *** SUMMARY We report our experience with DDCS in the proximal phalanx of the left middle finger of an 87-year-old *** had undergone surgery for enchondroma,with curettage and artificial bone grafting,11 years ago,in the same *** years after the primary surgery,the left middle finger gradually started to enlarge,and the growth speed increased in the past *** radiographs showed an expansive osteolytic lesion with calcifications and residual grafting *** to the suspicion of malignancy,we performed ray *** findings revealed an abrupt transition between the low-grade chondrosarcoma and dedifferentiated sarcoma *** dedifferentiated components showed the features of a high-grade undifferentiated pleomorphic *** patient was diagnosed with DDCS arising from a preexisting *** had no local recurrence or distant metastasis and died of pneumonia 6 years and 10 months after the second *** The histological findings of a precursor lesion showed a typical enchondroma,suggesting that DDCS can arise from enchondroma.

AIM: To clarify whether subclassification of the type VI pit pattern on the basis of magnifying colonoscopy findings is useful in determining the type and depth of invasion of colorectal ***: We retrospectively analyzed 272 colorectal neoplasms (117 dysplasias and 155 submucosal invasive carcinomas; 228 patients) with a type V pit pattern [type VI, n = 202; type VN, n = 70 (Kudo and Tsuruta classification system)]. We divided lesions with a type VI pit pattern into two subclasses, mildly irregular lesions and severely irregular lesions, according to the prominent and detailed magnifying colonoscopy findings. We examined the relation between these two subclasses and histology/invasion ***: One hundred and four lesions (51.5%) were judged to be mildly irregular, and 98 lesions (48.5%) were judged to be severely irregular. Ninety-seven (93.3%) mildly irregular lesions showed dysplasias or submucosal invasion of less than 1000 μm (SM < 1000 μm). Fifty-five (56.1%) severely irregular lesions showed submucosal invasion equal to or deeper than 1000 μm (SM ≥ 1000 μm). Mild irregularity was found significantly more often in dysplasias or lesions with SM < 1000 μm than in lesions with SM ≥ 1000 μm (P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Subclassification of the type VI pit pattern is useful for identifying dysplasias or lesions with SM < 1000 μm.
