Differential gene and protein expression between rat tibial nerve and common peroneal nerve during wallerian degeneration

Wallerian degeneration and nerve regeneration after injury are complex processes involving many genes, proteins and cytokines. After different peripheral nerve injuries the regeneration rate can differ. Whether this is caused by differential expression of genes and proteins during Wallerian degeneration remains unclear. The right tibial nerve and the common peroneal nerve of the same rat were exposed and completely cut through and then sutured in the same horizontal plane. On days 1, 7, 14, and 21 after surgery, 1–2 cm of nerve tissue distal to the suture site was dissected out from the tibial and common peroneal nerves. The differences in gene and protein expression during Wallerian degeneration of the injured nerves were then studied by RNA sequencing and proteomic techniques. In the tibial and common peroneal nerves, there were 1718, 1374, 1187, and 2195 differentially expressed genes, and 477, 447, 619, and 495 differentially expressed proteins on days 1, 7, 14, and 21 after surgery, respectively. Forty-seven pathways were activated during Wallerian degeneration. Three genes showing significant differential expression by RNA sequencing (Hoxd4, Lpcat4 and Tbx1) were assayed by real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction. RNA sequencing and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction results were consistent. Our findings showed that expression of genes and proteins in injured tibial and the common peroneal nerves were significantly different during Wallerian degeneration at different time points. This suggests that the biological processes during Wallerian degeneration are different in different peripheral nerves after injury. The procedure was approved by the Animal Experimental Ethics Committee of the Second Military Medical University, China (approval No. CZ20160218) on February 18, 2016.

This paper puts forward using high-pressure water jet technology to control rock burst in roadway, and analyzes the theory of controlling rock burst in roadway by the weak structure zone model. The weak structure zone is formed by using high-pressure water jet to cut the coal wall in a continuous and rotational way. In order to study the influence law of weak structure zone in surrounding rock, this paper numerically analyzed the influence law of weak structure zone, and the disturbance law of coal wall and floor under dynamic and static combined load. The results show that when the distance between high-pressure water jet drillings is 3 m and the diameter of drilling is 300 mm, continuous stress superposition zone can be formed. The weak structure zone can transfer and reduce the concentrated static load in surrounding rock, and then form distressed zone. The longer the high-pressure water jet drilling is, the larger the distressed zone is. The stress change and displacement change of non-distressed zone in coal wall and floor are significantly greater than that of distressed zone under dynamic and static combined load. And it shows that the distressed zone can effectively control rock burst in roadway under dynamic and static combined load. High-pressure water jet technology was applied in the haulage gate of 250203 working face in Yanbei Coal Mine, and had gained good effect. The study conclusions provide theoretical foundation and a new guidance for controlling rock burst in roadway.

The chemical compositions of tea(Camellia sinensis)are affected by numerous factors,such as cultivar,climate,leaf position,and cultivation ***,under the same conditions,the chemical compositions are mainly determined by ***,we investigated the genetic diversity of chemical compositions of tea tree resources in China to screen excellent germplasm *** chemical compositions index(including chlorophyll index,flavonoid index,and anthocyanin index)and the nitrogen balance index of tea leaves were measured in 102 tea germplasms planted in Chinese Tea Plants Improved Variety Germplasm Resources Nursery(CTPIVGRN)by Dualex on April *** showed that the chlorophyll,flavonoid,and anthocyanin contents and the nitrogen balance index significantly differed between the 102 tea *** genetic diversity index values were 2.005,2.246,1.599,and 1.838,and the average genetic diversity was *** 102 tea germplasms can be divided into four categories by cluster analysis under the genetic distance threshold of *** results suggest that the genetic diversity of tea germplasm resources in China is *** study’s results can serve as a basis for the diversified development and utilization of tea plant.

Characterization of chromophoric dissolved organic matter(CDOM) in the East China Sea in autumn using excitationemission matrix(EEM) fluorescence and parallel factor analysis(PARAFAC)

Samples of chromophoric dissolved organic matter （CDOM） in the East China Sea in autumn （October in 2011） were analyzed by excitation emission matrix （EEM） fluorescence spectroscopy combined with parallel factor analysis （PARAFAC）. Three terrestrial humic-like components （C1, C2 and C3） and one protein-like component （C4） were identified. Based on spatial dis- tributions, as well as relationships with salinity, the following assignments were made. The three humic-like components （CI, C2 and C3） showed conservative mixing behavior and came mainly from riverine input. The protein-like component （C4） was considered a combination of autochthonous production and terrestrial inputs and a biologically labile component. Path analysis of samples from the middle and bottom layers revealed that the causal effects on C1 were -78.46% for salinity, and -21.54% for apparent oxygen utilization （AOU）; those on C2 were -76.43% for salinity, and -23.57% for AOU; those on C3 were -70.49% for salinity, 7.01% for Chl-a, and -22.50% for AOU; those on C4 were -55.54% for salinity, 14.6% for Chl-a, and -29.86% for AOU in middle layer; and those on C4 were -57.37% for salinity, 29.02% for Chl-a, and -13.61% for AOU in bottom layer. Results indicated that CDOM in tile East China Sea was mainly affected by terrestrial inputs, and microbial ac- tivities also played a key role in biogeochemical processes of CDOM. The application of the EEM-PARAFAC model present- ed a unique opportunity to observe compositional changes in CDOM in the East China Sea. In addition, the humification index （HIX） suggested that CDOM from the East China Sea was less stable and stayed shorter in the environment.
