Experimental study of the critical sand starting velocity of gas-watersand flow in an inclined pipe

The purpose of this paper is to study the critical sand starting velocity and transformation law of flow pattern based on gas-water-sand three-phase flow in an inclined ***,the indoor simulation experiment system of gas-water-sand three-phase flow was used to test the conversion law of flow pattern based upon the different gas void ***,the influence of slug bubbles on sand migration was investigated according to distinctive hole deviation angles,gas void fraction and sand ***,the critical sand starting velocity was tested based on dissimilar hole deviation angles,gas void fraction,sand concentration and sand particle size,and then the influence of the abovementioned key parameters on the sand starting velocity was debated based on the force analysis of the sand *** experimental results illustrated that when the gas void fraction was less than 5%,it was bubbly *** it increased from 5%to 30%,the bubbly flow and slug flow *** it was between 30%and 50%,the slug flow and agitated flow *** it reached 50%,it was agitated *** that the hole deviation angle was 90°,the phenomenon of overall migration and wavelike migration on the surface of sand bed was *** the contrary,the phenomenon of rolling and jumping migration was *** critical sand starting velocity was positively correlated with the hole deviation angle and sand particle size,but negatively associated with the gas void fraction and sand *** research can provide a certain reference for sand-starting production in the field of petroleum engineering.

Real-Time Visual Tracking with Compact Shape and Color Feature

The colour feature is often used in the object *** tracking methods extract the colour features of the object and the background,and distinguish them by a ***,these existing methods simply use the colour information of the target pixels and do not consider the shape feature of the target,so that the description capability of the feature is ***,incorporating shape information often leads to large feature dimension,which is not conducive to real-time object ***,the emergence of visual tracking methods based on deep learning has also greatly increased the demand for computing resources of the *** this paper,we propose a real-time visual tracking method with compact shape and colour feature,which forms low dimensional compact shape and colour feature by fusing the shape and colour characteristics of the candidate object region,and reduces the dimensionality of the combined feature through the Hash *** structural classification function is trained and updated online with dynamic data flow for adapting to the new ***,the classification and prediction of the object are carried out with structured classification *** experimental results demonstrate that the proposed tracker performs superiorly against several state-of-the-art algorithms on the challenging benchmark dataset OTB-100 and OTB-13.

Land surface temperature(LST)is a key parameter in land surface *** National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA)recently released new Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)LST products(MOD21 and MYD21).Here,we conducted a detailed comparison between the MYD11 and MYD21 LST data in China's *** LSTs of MYD21 were approximately 1℃ higher than those of MYD11 averaged for China's Mainland,as MYD21 corrected the cold bias of *** proportions of the valid value of MYD21 were generally lower than those of MYD11 because the cloud removal method of MYD21 was stricter than that of ***,the outliers were less significant in MYD11 than in MYD21 because the outliers in MYD11 were removed using temporal constraints on *** outliers in MYD21A2 resulted in a difference of greater than 3℃ in average seasonal surface urban heat island intensity(SUHII)between MYD11A2 and ***,using MYD11 may underestimate the slope of long-term trends of ***21 LST data may have some uncertainties in urban *** study provided a reference for users for selecting LST products and for data producers to further improve MODIS LST products.

BACKGROUND Cronkhite-Canada syndrome(CCS)is a rare disease of unknown *** optimal treatment for CCS remains *** with corticosteroids is considered the mainstay treatment because of its high efficacy,but the therapeutic strategy for steroid-resistant CCS is not yet *** SUMMARY This is the case of an 81-year-old woman who was diagnosed with *** her severe diarrhea,nausea,vomiting,and hypoproteinemia,hormone therapy(40 mg/d)was administered,and the symptoms improved within 1 *** 3 mo,the patient had no obvious *** polyps were significantly reduced on review gastroscopy and colonoscopy,thus hormone reduction gradually *** hormone level was maintained at 10 mg/d after 6 *** the age of the patient and the side effects of hormones,the patient had no obvious ***,hormone drugs were discontinued,and mesalazine was administered orally at 3 g/*** patient's symptoms continued to improve after a follow-up of 5 *** Corticosteroids and mesalazine are potential treatment options for CCS.

Dynamic modeling of cavitation bubble clusters:Effects of evaporation,condensation,and bubble-bubble interaction

We present a dynamic model of cavitation bubbles in a cluster,in which the effects of evaporation,condensation,and bubble-bubble interactions are taken into *** different ultrasound conditions,we examine how the dynamics of cavitation bubbles are affected by several factors,such as the locations of the bubbles,the ambient radius,and the number of *** the variations of bubble radius,energy,temperature,pressure,and the quantity of vapor molecules are *** findings reveal that bubble-bubble interactions can restrict the expansion of bubbles,reduce the exchange of energy among vapor molecules,and diminish the maximum internal temperature and pressure when *** ambient radius of bubbles can influence the intensities of their oscillations,with clusters comprised of smaller bubbles creating optimal conditions for generating high-temperature and high-pressure ***,an increase in the number of bubbles can further inhibit cavitation *** frequency,pressure and waveform of the driving wave can also exert a significant influence on cavitation activities,with rectangular waves enhancing and triangular waves weakening the cavitation of bubbles in the *** results provide a theoretical basis for understanding the dynamics of cavitation bubbles in a bubble cluster,and the factors that affect their behaviors.

Simulation of FAST EM performance for both the axial and lateral feed defocusing

Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope(FAST)is the world’s largest single dish radio telescope,which is located in Guizhou Province,in southwest *** FAST feed cabin is supported and positioned by six steel *** deviation of the feed position and orientation would lead to loss in the telescope *** this paper,a series of electromagnetic(EM)simulations of the FAST facility with varying feed positions and orientation offsets was *** maximum gain of FAST is about 82.3 dBi and the sibelobe is–32 dB with respect to the main beam at 3 *** simulation results have demonstrated that the telescope efficiency loss is more sensitive to the lateral feed deviation compared with the axial *** telescope efficiency would decrease by 8.2%due to the FAST feed position deviation of 10 mm rms when the observing frequency is 3 *** FAST feed deviation basically has no effect on the sidelobes and cross polarization characteristic according to the simulations.

Variation of water body in Dongting Lake from in situ measurements and MODIS observations in recent decades

Identifying the spatiotemporal dynamics of the water body in Dongting Lake,the second largest freshwater lake in China,is crucial for water resource *** this study,the variations of the water body were comprehensively analyzed based on remote sensing images and in situ measurements from 2000 to *** breakpoint detection approaches were integrated to analyze the change trends and explore the related driving forces behind the *** results showed that significant intra-and inter-annual fluctuations of the water body were found from 2000 to *** water area and volume decreased at rates of 1.26 km^(2)/a and 16.65×10^(6)m^(3)/a,*** the entire study period,the outflow at Chenglingji station(CLJ),the inflow from three outlets of the Yangtze River(Inflow2),and the inundation conditions during the last period(Arealag)made the largest relative contributions to the water area variation(around 25%,27%and 24%,respectively).A breakpoint was detected around 2004,corresponding to the operation period of the Three Gorges Dam(TGD).The regulation of TGD profoundly affected the hydrological characteristics at the three outlets and CLJ,and may have indirectly caused the water area to expand by 2.41 km^(2)/a during the dry seasons between 2004 and *** results provide valuable insight into how natural and anthropogenic factors affect water body variation and may offer a practical reference for the local government to adjust management strategies.
