A new two-step variational model for multiplicative noise removal with applications to texture images

Multiplicative noise removal problems have attracted much attention in recent *** additive noise,multiplicative noise destroys almost all information of the original image,especially for texture *** by the TV-Stokes model,we propose a new two-step variational model to denoise the texture images corrupted by multiplicative noise with a good geometry explanation in this *** the first step,we convert the multiplicative denoising problem into an additive one by the logarithm transform and propagate the isophote directions in the tangential field *** the isophote directions are constructed,an image is restored to fit the constructed directions in the second *** existence and uniqueness of the solution to the variational problems are *** these two steps,we use the gradient descent method and construct finite difference schemes to solve the ***,the augmented Lagrangian method and the fast Fourier transform are adopted to accelerate the *** results show that the proposed model can remove the multiplicative noise efficiently and protect the texture well.

The degradation of Microcystin-LR (MC-LR) in water by hydrogen peroxide assisted ultraviolet (UV/H2O2) process was investigated in this paper. The UV/H2O2 process appeared to be effective in removal of the MC-LR. MC-LR decomposition was primarily ascribed to production of strong and nonselective oxidant-hydroxyl radicals within the system. The intensity of UV radiation, initial concentration of MC-LR, MC-LR purity, dosages of H2O2, the initial solution pH, and anions present in water, to some extent, influenced the degradation rate of MC-LR. A modified pseudo-first-order kinetic model was developed to predict the removal efficiency under different experimental conditions.

Gibberellic acid （GA） regulates many aspects of plant growth and development. The DELLA proteins act to restrain plant growth, and GA relieves this repression by promoting their degradation via the 26S proteasome pathway. The elucidation of the crystalline structure of the GA soluble receptor GID1 protein represents an important breakthrough for understanding the way in which GA is perceived and how it induces the destabilization of the DELLA proteins. Recent advances have revealed that the DELLA proteins are involved in protein-protein interactions within various environmental and hormone signaling pathways. In this review, we highlight our current understanding of the ＇relief of repression＇ model that aims to explain the role of GA and the function of the DELLA proteins, incorporating the many aspects of cross-talk shown to exist in the control of plant development and the response to stress.

Dear Editor, Hearing loss is one of the major public health problems. The mitochondrial DNA mutations has been found to be associ- ated with both aminoglycoside-induced and nonsyndromic hearing loss （FischeI-Ghodsian, 1999; Guan, 2011）. The 1555A〉G mutation in mitochondrial small subunit ribosomal RNA （rRNA） gene contributes to nonsyndromic hearing loss and is prevalent in Asian and other populations （Guan, 2011）. This mutation was first identified in families with aminogly- coside-induced deafness, and the ototoxic susceptibility was attributed to enhanced binding affinity to aminoglycosides of 1555A〉G rRNA （Qian and Guan, 2009）. In the absence of aminoglycoside antibiotics, individuals with 1555A〉G mutation exhibit various clinical phenotype that ranges from severe congenital deafness, through moderate progressive hearing loss of late onset,

This study aimed to gain insight into the underlying pathogenesis of erectile dysfunction in young men under the age of 40 years without widely-known risk factors. Compared with normal controls, patients with erectile dysfunction had increased carotid intima- media thickness, fasting levels of blood glucose and insulin, and homeostatic model assessment index, as well as lower flow-mediated vasodilation and testosterone levels （P 〈 0.05）, though all of these values were within their respective normal range. Multivariate logistic regression analysis identified carotid intima-media thickness, flow-mediated vasodilation, insulin level, and homeostatic model assessment index as significant predictors of erectile dysfunction. Young men with flow-mediated vasodilation 〈10.65% were 11.645 times more likely to have erectile dysfunction, young men with carotid intima-media thickness 〉0.623 mm had a 4.16-fold, and young men with homeostatic model assessment index 〉1.614 had a 5.993-fold greater risk of having erectile dysfunction. In conclusions, in young men with normal results from general clinical screening, an increased carotid intima-media thickness and homeostatic model assessment index and reduced flow-mediated vasodilation were associated with a higher incidence of erectile dysfunction. Erectile dysfunction may appear before the detection of traditional cardiovascular risk factors and may be the earliest clinical sign of subclinical cardiovascular disease.

The Xi’an proton accelerator facility synchrotron lattice has a systematic fourth-order resonance. The systematic octupole component in dipole magnets is found to have no adverse effect on the dynamic aperture in multiparticle tracking. The frequency map shows particles locked onto the 2v x 2v z-0 resonance. However, we will show that the instantaneous betatron tunes can vary widely around the resonance line for particles locked onto the resonance.

Objective:To investigate the change of the hs-CRP,sVC AM-1,NT-proBNP levels of the patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension(PIH) ***:A total of 200 patients with PIH were divided into mild,moderate and severe group,and 50 healthy pregnancy patients served as the control *** serum sVCAM-1 levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,hs-CRP were detected by immunity transmission turbidity,and NT-proBNP levels were determined by the colloidal gold *** were treated with magnesium sulfate and nifudipine and the contrastive analysis was performed before and after *** the pathological changes in placental of PIH patients were delected by hematoxylin-eosin staining at the same ***:The hs-CRP,sVCAM-l,NT-proBNP levels of patients in the mild, moderate and severe PHI group were significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). The hs-CKP,sVCAM-l,NT-proBNP levels in the severe group were significantly higher than the mild group and the moderate group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The hsCRP,sVCAM-l,NT-proBNP of the moderate group were significantly higher than the mild group(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between hs-CRP,sVCAM-1,NT-proBNP expression levels and the degree of the *** expression of hs-CRP,sVCAM-1,NT-proBNP levels of the moderate and the severe group were significantly decreased(P<0.05).The number of placental villi and interstitial blood vessel in the moderate and severe PIH group were significantly less than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusions:The increased levels of serum hs-CRP,sVCAM-1, NT-proBNP may be involved in the process of vascular endothelial cell injury of the PIH,and the hs-CRP,sVCAM-1,NT-proBNP can be used as the auxiliary index for diagnosis of PIH and determination of PIH severity.

Objective： Allergic airway diseases （AADs） are a group of heterogeneous disease mediated by T-helper type 2 （Th2） immune response and characterized with airway inflammation and remodeling, including allergic asthma, allergic rhinitis, and chronic rhinosinusitis with allergic background. This review aimed to discuss the abnormal epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk in the pathogenesis of AADs. Data Sources： Articles referred in this review were collected from the database of PubMed published in English up to January 2018. Study Selection： We had done a literature search using the following terms ＂allergic airway disease OR asthma OR allergic rhinitis OR chronic sinusitis AND IL-25 OR IL-33 OR thymic stromal lymphopoietin OR fibrocyte＂. Related original or review articles were included and carefully analyzed. Results： It is now believed that abnormal epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk underlies the pathogenesis of AADs. However, the key regulatory factors and molecular events involved in this process still remain unclear. Epithelium-derived triple cytokines, including interleukin （IL）-25, IL-33, and thymic stromal lymphopoietin （TSLP）, are shown to act on various target cells and promote the Th2 immune response. Circulating fibrocyte is an important mesenchymal cell that can mediate tissue remodeling. We previously found that IL-25-circulating fibrocyte axis was significantly upregulated in patients with asthma, which may greatly contribute to asthmatic airway inflammation and remodeling. Conclusions： In view of the redundancy ofcytokines and ＂united airway＂ theory, we propose a new concept that IL-25/IL-33/TSLP-fibrocyte axis may play a vital role in the abnormal epithelial-mesenchymal crosstalk in some endotypes of AADs. This novel idea will guide potential new intervention schema for the common treatment of AADs sharing common pathogenesis in the future.
