The stabilization problem of distributed proportional-integral-derivative(PID)controllers for general first-order multi-agent systems with time delay is investigated in the *** closed-loop multi-input multi-output(MIMO)framework in frequency domain is firstly introduced for the multi-agent *** on the matrix theory,the whole system is decoupled into several subsystems with respect to the eigenvalues of the Laplacian *** that the eigenvalues may be complex numbers,the consensus problem of the multi-agent system is transformed into the stabilizing problem of all the subsystems with complex *** each subsystem with complex coefficients,the range of admissible proportional gains is analytically ***,the stabilizing region in the space of integral gain and derivative gain for a given proportional gain value is also obtained in an analytical *** entire stabilizing set can be determined by sweeping proportional gain in the allowable *** proposed method is conducted for general first-order multi-agent systems under arbitrary topology including undirected and directed graph ***,the results in the paper provide the basis for the design of distributed PID controllers satisfying different performance *** simulation examples are presented to check the validity of the proposed control strategy.

Cloud-free moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer(MODIS) images of the Zhujiang(Pearl) River Estuary(ZRE) taken between 2002 and 2012 are retrieved and used to study the spatial and temporal patterns of suspended sediment concentrations(SSCs) across the estuary under runoff, wind, and tropical storm *** typical dispersal patterns of suspended sediments in the estuary are defined: Case I shows generally low SSCs under low dynamics; Case Ⅱ shows a river-dominant dispersal pattern of suspended sediments from the outlets,particularly from Modaomen, Jiaomen, Hengmen, and others; Case Ⅲ shows wind-dominant dispersal of high SSCs derived from the west shoal and southwesterly transport under a strong NE wind; Case IV is the combination of relatively large runoff and wind; and Case V is caused by a strong tropical storm with high river discharge and wind, which is characterized by the high SSCs across the entire estuary that are transported eastward by winddriven and buoyancy currents outside the estuary. Runoff is a dominant factor that controls seasonal and annual SSC variations in the ZRE, with the area of high SSCs being largest in the summer and smallest in the spring. The correlation coefficients between the monthly averaged river-suspended sediment discharge and the area of the high SSCs are approximately 0.6. The wind power over the west shoal increases with a wind speed, which induces more sediment resuspension and shows a close relationship between the wind speed and high SSC area.

A density functional theory (DFT)-calculation scheme for constructing the modified embedded atom method (MEAM) potentials for face-centered cubic (fcc) metals is presented. The input quantities are carefully selected and a more reliable DFT approach for surface energy determination is introduced in the parameterization scheme, enabling MEAM to precisely predict the surface and nanoscale properties of metallic materials. Molecular dynamics simulations on Pt and Au crystals show that the parameterization employed leads to significantly improved accuracy of MEAM in calculating the surface and nanoscale properties, with the results agreeing well with both DFT calculations and experimental observations. The present study implies that rational DFT parameterization of MEAM may lead to a theoretical tool to bridge the gap between nanoscale theoretical simulations and DFT calculations.

Functional nucleic acids(FNAs)-based biosensors have shown great potential in heavy metal ions detection due to their low-cost and easy to operate merits. However, in most FNAs based fluorescence probes, the ingenious designs of double-labeled(fluorophore and quencher group) DNA sequence, not only bring the annoyance of organic synthesis, but also restrict its use as a robust biosensor in practical duties. In this paper, we design a simple AIEgens functional nucleic acids(AFNAs) probe which consists of only fluorogen but no quencher group. With the help of duplex-specific nuclease(DSN) enzyme based target recycling, high fluorescence signal and superior sensitivity towards Hg^(2+) are achieved. This robust assay allows for sensitive and selective detection of Hg^(2+) in real water samples and mapping of intracellular Hg^(2+), without double-labeling of oligonucleotide with a dye-quencher pair, nor the multiple assay steps.

Variability is one of the typical observational properties of blazars and the spectral changes are usually associated with variability,although this kind of association is unclear *** this work,we used data from the Steward Observatory blazar monitoring program to investigate the optical variability properties including the short-term timescale,the brightness-dependent spectral property,the correlation between the the brightness variation and the polarization,and then estimate the Doppler factors based on the obtained short timescale to study the polarization property for a sample of 20 TeV *** analyses arrive at the following results:(1)The largest variation amplitude in R-band,ΔR_(M),covers a range from ΔR_(M)=0.29 mag(1ES 2344+514)to ΔR_(M)=4.66 mag(3C 279).(2)Intra-day variability was found from five sources with timescales from 0.14 day for S50716+714 to 0.98 day for PKS *** sources show spectra that are bluer when they become brighter,suggesting a common bluer-when-brighter property.(3)The plot of the polarization versus estimated Doppler factor is consistent with the Doppler factor dependent formula of polarization.(4)The largest polarization is correlated with the largest optical variation,suggesting that the high polarization and high amplitude variation are both the indicator of beaming effect.

Opening windows in coach buses is a practical approach to improving natural ventilation and mitigating infection risk(IR).Due to human behavior and weather conditions,the intermittent window opening strategy(IWOS)is a more common practice than keeping windows constantly *** its prevalence,there are no studies exploring IWOS specifically in *** employed indoor-outdoor coupled CFD simulations to assess the effects of various IWOS on pathogen-laden droplet(PLD)dispersion and IR in a coach bus that occurred a COVID-19 outbreak in Hunan,*** reveal that after ventilating through two skylights for 600–1800 s,opening front and rear windows(FW+RW)or FW with a wind catcher(FW+WCH)for just 40 s can reduce PLD concentration(Cave)to 5%of its initial level and the intake fraction of the infector’s neighbor(IFn)drops by 95%.Upon closing FW+RW or FW+WCH,Cave and IFn take over 580 s to return to the pre-opening ***,intermittent FW opening halves Cave and IFn within 7 min,but leads to rapid increases upon window ***,opening FW+RW and FW+WCH intermittently have pronounced impacts on indoor PLD concentration and are applicable approaches to control respiratory disease transmission in *** to the inhaled viral dose,it is recommended to open windows when driving time is over 12 minutes to reduce infection *** scenarios like epidemiological surveys and risk assessments,where assessing passenger infection risk is vital,some behaviors of opening windows cannot be overlooked and necessitate extra attention.

A series of novel 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4-one derivatives were designed,synthesized and their inhibitory activities against leulcotriene A4 hydrolase aminopeptidase in vitro were *** compounds showed moderate to good activities at the concentration of 10 μmol/*** them,compound Ⅳ-16 exhibited the highest inhibitory activity up to 80.6% with an IC50 of 1.30 ± 0.20 μmol/L The compound Ⅳ-16 was also tested the proliferation inhibitory activities in THP1 human AML cell line and its binding model with LTA_4H enzyme by molecular docking was *** indicated that 1,2,3-benzotriazin-4-one was a promising scaffold for further *** relationship between structure and inhibitory activity was also preliminarily discussed.
