Migmatization in Higher Himalayan Crystallines (HHC) results from anatexis. The widely distributed migmatites in HHC are an important clue to investigate the relationship be- tween anatexis and the origins of Higher Himalayan leucogranites (HHL), and to understand the effect of anatexis on crustal evolution during the post-collision period. We studied in detail the chemical features of three basic constituent parts of the migmatites, i.e. leucosome, mesosome and melanosome, and determined the K-Ar ages of leucosomes. Our studies indicate that type-I leucosome is the product of crystallization of melt generated by partial melting of mesosome at source region, but type-II leucosome and HHL probably underwent crystallization differentiation of plagioclase during melt aggregation and migration. The age of 2..67 ma of Type-I leucosome, which is a little older than the beginning of MCT movement, indicates that anatexis may have played an important role in the formation of MCT. That the ages of type-II leucosome (ranging from 1..82.to 1..37 ma) are consistent with that of HHL provides new chronological evidence for the relationship between migmatization and HHL. We obtained a very young age of 6.2. ma of Type-II leucosome that provides new time constraint on magma activity in the central segment of Higher Himalayas.

Spatial-temporal variation of the land surface temperature field and present-day tectonic activity

This study attempts to acquire information on tectonic activity in western {1. from land surface temperature （LST） field data. On the basis of the established relationship between heat and strain, we analyzed the LSTdistribution in western {1. using the satellite data product MODIS/Terra. Our results show that： 1. There are departures from annual changes of LSTin some areas, and that these changes are associated with the activity of some active tectonic zones. 2. When annual-change background values caused by climate factors are removed, the long-period component （LSTLow） of temperature residual （AT） of the LSTis able to serve as an indicator for tectonic activity. We have found that a major {2. can produce different effects on the/ST fields of surrounding areas. These effects are characterized by both rises and drops in temperature. For example, there was a noteworthy temperature decline associated with the Sumatran M9 {2. of 2.04 in the Bayan Har-Songpan block of central Tibetan Plateau. 3. On the other hand, the LST field of a single area may respond differently to major shocks occurring in different areas in the regions surrounding {1.. For instance, the Kun- lun M 8.1.event made the LSTon the Longmen Mountains fault zone increase, whereas the Zaisan Lake M 7.9 quake of 2.03, and the Sumatran M 9 event of 2.04, caused decreases in the same area＇s LST. 4. The variations of land surface temperature （LST） over time are different in different tectonic areas. These phenomena may provide clues for the study of tectonic deformation processes. On the basis of these phenomena, we use a combi- nation of temperature data obtained at varied depths, regional seismicity and strain results obtained with GPS measurements, to test the information related to tectonic activity derived from variations of the LST field, and discuss its implications to the creation of models of regional tectonic deformation.

Three-dimensional reconstruction and comparison of vacuolar membranes in response to viral infection

The vacuole is a unique plant organelle that plays an important role in maintaining cellular homeostasis under various environmental stress conditions. However, the effects of biotic stress on vacuole structure has not been examined using three-dimensional(3D) visualization. Here, we performed 3D electron tomography to compare the ultrastructural changes in the vacuole during infection with different viruses. The 3D models revealed that vacuoles are remodeled in cells infected with cucumber mosaic virus(CMV) or tobacco necrosis virus A Chinese isolate(TNV-AC), resulting in the formation of spherules at the periphery of the vacuole. These spherules contain neck-like channels that connect their interior with the cytosol. Confocal microscopy of CMV replication proteins 1.a and 2.a and TNV-AC auxiliary replication protein p2. showed that all of these proteins localize to the *** microscopy revealed that the expression of these replication proteins alone is sufficient to induce spherule formation on the tonoplast, suggesting that these proteins play prominent roles in inducing vacuolar membrane remodeling. This is the first report of the 3D structures of viral replication factories built on the tonoplasts. These findings contribute to our understanding of vacuole biogenesis under normal conditions and during assembly of plant(+) RNA virus replication complexes.

Azvudine(FNC)is a nucleoside analog that inhibits HIV-1 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp).Recently,we discovered FNC an agent against SARS-CoV-2.and have taken it into Phase III trial for COVID-19 *** monophosphate analog inhibited SARS-CoV-2.and HCoV-OC43 coronavirus with an EC_(50) between 1.2.and 4.3 μM,depending on viruses or cells,and selective index(SI)in 15-83 *** administration of FNC in rats revealed a substantial thymus-homing feature,with FNC triphosphate(the active form)concentrated in the thymus and peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC).Treating SARS-CoV-2.infected rhesus macaques with FNC(0.07 mg/kg, qd,orally)reduced viral load,recuperated the thymus,improved lymphocyte profiles,alleviated in flammation and orga n damage,and lessened grou nd・glass opacities in chest *** gle-cell seque ncing suggested the promotion of thymus function by FNC.A randomized,single-arm clinical trial of FNC on compassionate use(n=31)showed that oral FNC(5 mg,qd)cured all COVID-19 patients,with 100%viral ribonucleic acid negative conversion in 3.2.±2.2. days(range:1-9 days)and 100%hospital discharge rate in 9.00±4.93 days(range:2.2. days).The side-effect of FNC is minor and transient dizziness and nausea in 16.12.(5/31)***,FNC might cure COVID-19 through its anti-SARS-CoV-2.activity concentrated in the thymus,followed by promoted immunity.

The pitch angle distributions of ions and electrons can be affected by various processes;thus,they can serve as an important indicator of the physical mechanisms driving the dynamics of space *** observations from the {1.rs Ion and Neutral Particle Analyzer onboard the Tianwen-1.orbiter,we calculated the pitch angle distributions of protons in the {1.rtian induced {1.gnetosphere by using infor{1.tion from the {1.gnetohydrodynamically simulated {1.gnetic field,and we statistically analyzed the spatial occurrence pattern of different types of pitch angle *** though no symmetrical features were seen in the dataset,we found the dominance of the field-aligned distribution type over the energy range from 1.8 to 62.2.*** of the occurrence rate showed the preferential presence of a trapped-like distribution at the lower altitudes of the surveyed nightside *** our results are more or less restricted by the adopted {1.gnetic field,they indicate the complexity of the near-{1.rs proton pitch angle distributions and infer the possibility of wave–particle interactions in the {1.rtian induced {1.gnetosphere.

本文对龙门山断裂带金河磷矿浅钻岩芯中的三种断层泥开展了低速到高速摩擦滑动的实验研究,并对实验变形样品开展了BET比表面积研究.摩擦实验在干燥和孔隙水压条件下开展,速率范围涵盖2.μm·s^(-1.~1.4m·s^(-1..实验结果显示,三种断层泥在干燥条件下的摩擦性质差别不大,但在孔隙水压条件下,三者的中低速摩擦强度与层状硅酸盐矿物的种类而非总含量紧密相关,蒙脱石和伊利石相比绿泥石更能有效地弱化断层.三种断层泥在孔隙水压条件下存在中低速率域的速度强化,暗示着对断层的加速滑动存在一定的阻碍作用.孔隙水压下,黄绿色和灰绿色断层泥的初始动态弱化非常迅速并伴随断层泥层的瞬时扩容,凹凸体急剧加热导致的局部热压作用可能是造成这种力学行为的物理机制.在经历高速滑动之后,三种断层泥在干、湿条件下的BET比表面积都显著降低,暗示着可能发生了颗粒烧结.中低速域内,孔隙水的存在使得断层泥呈现分散式的剪切变形,BET比表面积的增加因此比干燥条件下更加明显.对表面能的估算表明,颗粒磨碎所消耗的能量至多不超过摩擦力做功的8%,暗示着断层作用中颗粒磨碎所占的能量比例较低.

分析水库蓄水在地震发生中的作用时,首先需要了解水在其中的扩散过程及其作用机理。文中通过紫坪铺水库蓄水后,汶川地震前的小震活动时空演化,探讨水库蓄水诱发地震活动的发生、发展过程及其机理。从比较地震时空分布和水体范围变化开始,进而探讨影响建模计算的各个因素,最后给出计算结果。得出以下几点认识:1.紫坪铺水库蓄水后到汶川地震发生前,水库周围的小震活动与水库蓄水密切相关,并且小震分布在汶川地震的地震断层上。2.受地形和介质的影响,水库影响范围实际上是有限的,并且是各向异性的。因此在建模计算前,半定量地获得了孔隙压力扩散系数,沿断裂走向和倾向分别为0.7m2.s和0.35m2.s;定性地设定了地表约束。3)计算结果表明紫坪铺水库附近地震活动的范围与孔隙压力增量有关。当应力值达到触发地震活动的阈值之后,不论水头增量是否处于高值,地震活动的兴衰皆受控于增量变化率。这表明孔隙压力对震群活动的触发是动态触发。

野外地质调查结果显示,断层带常富集碳质.断层带中碳的分布结构是影响断层带电导率特征的一种重要参数.本文在室温、室内湿度和2.Pa正应力条件下,对不同石墨含量(3,5,6和7wt%)的石英-石墨混合断层泥模拟样品开展了滑动速率介于500μm·s-1.1.·s-1.摩擦实验及相应的电导率测量,以期研究断层运动对碳分布结构的影响以及断层带电性特征对碳含量及分布的响应情况.结果显示,摩擦滑动能够显著地改变样品的电性特征(电导率大小及其各向异性).在平行滑动面方向(径向),样品电导率随着滑动位移的增加快速增加,在滑动约数十厘米之后,其电导率基本达到稳定状态;在垂直滑动面方向(轴向),样品电导率基本不随摩擦滑动速率和滑动距离而变化.SEM显微结构观测显示,摩擦滑动所引起的电导率各向异性直接反映了石墨分布结构的变化.该研究结果深化了对地震断裂带浅部电性特征的认识,为野外断层带大地电磁测深资料的解释提供了约束,同时对于了解含碳断层的力学性质和弱矿物相在剪切变形中的分布特征及其演化过程等方面也具有重要意义.
