Smith fir （Abies georgei var. smithii）, which is the timberline constructive tree species in the cool slope of Mt. Sygera in the southeast ofTibet, plays a very important role in maintaining the timberline completeness and indicating global climate change. This study uses theinstrumental recorded meteorological data along the altitude from 3600 to 4400 m at every 200 m in the growing season, investigates the smithfir growth biomass from 2006 to 2010 in the same timberline ecotone, and makes a non-linear regression analysis to determine the relationshipbetween the alpine tree growth biomass and its in-situ environment condition. The results showed that the cool and warm slope share different airtemperature lapse rates, which were 0.48 C （100 m）1 in the warm slope and 0.54 C （100 m）1 in the cool slope, respectively. However, thedominant timberline tree species in the warm slope was Sabina saltuaria, and it can reach as high as 4570 m, which is approximately 170 mhigher than that in the cool slope. Moreover, the smith fir in the cool slope was only distributed in the range of elevation from approximately3600 to 4400 m. The altitude of approximately 3800 m was the appropriate altitude for the growing smith fir, where the mean air temperature inthe growing season was about 9.0 C, and the young smith fir tree can form more biomass. The results suggested that alpine forest chose asuitable environment where trees can grow more in the prolonged succession, but not in the warmer or cooler condition, it could be seen as abiological evidence for climate change.

The advent of“intelligent era”brings our life more convenience,but the electromagnetic radiation sur-rounding us not only greatly threatens human health,also makes information leakage and hidden trouble to national defense ***,it is very urgent to develop novel electromagnetic wave absorption materials with lightweight,strong absorption,tunable absorption frequency and broad band ***,a novel electromagnetic wave absorber is obtained by constructing La_(0.8)CoO_(3)-rGO nanocompos-ite,where La_(0.8)CoO_(3)nanoparticles are anchored on graphene nanosheets by the electrostatic interaction between GO and La_(0.8)CoO_(3).The effect of hybridization ratio of La_(0.8)CoO_(3)and rGO on microwave ab-sorption properties is carefully *** optimal reflection loss of La_(0.8)CoO_(3)-rGO nanocomposite can reach-62.34 dB with the maximum effective bandwidth of 6.08 GHz,presenting 48.78%and 245.45%increment compared to bare La_(0.8)CoO_(3)nanoparticles,*** effective absorption bandwidth covers a broad electromagnetic wave absorption band from Ku band to the C band by tailoring thickness of the absorbers from 2.4 mm to 4.4 *** fascinating electromagnetic wave absorption performance is attributed to the synergy effect of La_(0.8)CoO_(3)and rGO,which integrates magnetic and dielectric loss caused by resonance,conductance,relaxation,and scattering *** result confirms that La_(0.8)CoO_(3)-rGO nanocomposite is potential candidates toward high-efficiency microwave absorbers and provides a valuable pathway for designing high-performance microwave attenuation materials in the future.

In petroleum industry, crude oil emulsions are commonly formed in oilfields. The asphaltenes and fine particles in crude oil may affect the stability of the emulsions by adsorbing at the water/oil interface. In this research, the effect of silica nanoparticles and asphaltenes on emulsion stability is explored first. The asphaltenes are proved to benefit emulsion stability. Unlike the asphaltenes, however, the modified silica nanoparticles may have positive or negative effect on emulsion stability, depending on the asphaltene concentration and aggregation degree in the emulsions. Further, it is confirmed by conducting interfacial experiment that the asphaltenes and particles can adsorb at the interface simultaneously and determine the properties of the interfacial layer. More in-depth experiments concerning contact angle and asphaltene adsorption amount on the particles indicate that the asphaltenes can modify the wettability of the particles. Higher concentration and lower aggregation degree of the asphaltenes can increase their adsorption amount on the surface of particles and then improve the modification effectiveness of the particles. Resultantly, the particles with good modification effectiveness can enhance the emulsion stability while the particles with poor modification effectiveness will weaken the emulsion stability.

The estimated ultimate recovery(EUR)of shale gas wells is influenced by many factors,and the accurate prediction still faces certain *** an artificial intelligence algorithm,deep learning yields notable advantages in nonlinear ***,it is feasible to predict the EUR of shale gas wells based on a deep-learning *** this paper,according to geological evaluation data,hydraulic fracturing data,production data and EUR evaluation results of 282 wells in the WY shale gas field,a deep-learning-based algorithm for EUR evaluation of shale gas wells was designed and ***,the existing EUR evaluation methods of shale gas wells and the deep feedforward neural network algorithm was systematically ***,the technical process of a deep-learning-based algorithm for EUR prediction of shale gas wells was ***,by means of real data obtained from the WY shale gas field,several different cases were applied to testify the validity and accuracy of the proposed *** results show that the EUR prediction with high *** addition,the results are affected by the variety and number of input parameters,the network structure and *** proposed approach can be extended to other shale fields using the similar technic process.

Landslide inventory plays an important role in recording landslide events and showing their temporal-spatial distribution. This paper describes the development, visualization, and analysis of a China's Landslide Inventory Database(Cs liD) by utilizing Google's public cloud computing platform. Firstly, Cs liD(Landslide Inventory Database) compiles a total of 1221 historical landslide events spanning the years 1949-2011 from relevant data sources. Secondly, the Cs liD is further broken down into six zones for characterizing landslide cause-effect, spatiotemporal distribution, fatalities, and socioeconomic impacts based on the geological environment and terrain. The results show that among all the six zones, zone V, located in Qinba and Southwest Mountainous Area is the most active landslide hotspot with the highest landslide hazard in China. Additionally, the Google public cloud computing platform enables the Cs liD to be easily accessible, visually interactive, and with the capability of allowing new data input to dynamically augment the database. This work developed a cyber-landslide inventory and used it to analyze the landslide temporal-spatial distribution in China.

BACKGROUND： Hepatitis B virus（HBV）-related end-stage liver disease is the leading indication for liver transplantation in China, but long-term results of liver transplantation in patients aged over 60 years are not clear. The present study was to reveal the natural history of liver recipients with hepatitis B older than60 ***： The recipients who had received liver transplantation between December 2003 and December 2005 were divided into two groups： those equal or older than 60 years（older group,n60） and those younger than 60 years（younger group, n305）.Risk factors for poor long-term outcome in patients aged over 60 years were also ***： Except for age and preexisting chronic disease（P0.05）,no significant differences were observed in perioperative characteristics between the two groups. There was also no significant difference in HBV and hepatocellular carcinoma recurrence（P0.05）. The actuarial 1-, 3-, 5- and 8-year survival rates were 81.6%, 71.6%, 66.7% and 63.3% respectively for the older group vs 84.9%, 77.7%, 70.8% and 65.6% for the younger group（P0.05）. Multivariate analyses showed that pre-liver transplant renal insufficiency was a risk factor for poor outcome in the older group（odds ratio=3.615, P0.014）.CONCLUSIONS： liver transplantation is safe and feasible for patients with HBV-related end-stage liver disease aged over 60years. Older patients with renal insufficiency should undergo transplantation earlier than younger patients.
