Permanent lining castable with low bulk density and thermal conductivity:bauxite castable for tundish obtained by adding pearlescent sand

The low thermal conductivity and light mass of castables for tundish permanent linings are crucial for minimizing the heat loss of molten *** consideration of the low bulk density and thermal conductivity of pearlescent sand,the thermal insulation performance of castables was attempted to be improved by adding pearlescent *** sand was modified to prevent the strength of its porous structure from *** modification mechanism of pearlescent sand and the effect of pearlescent sand on the performance of bauxite castables were *** results suggested that the addition of the modified pearlescent sand significantly raised the apparent porosity and decreased the bulk density of bauxite *** 1000℃,the bulk density of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was only 2.03 g/cm^(3).The mechanical properties and thermal shock resistance of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable were inferior to those of conventional bauxite castable but were adequate to meet the use conditions of casta-bles for tundish permanent *** high temperatures of 200-800℃,the thermal conductivity of more than 60%of the modified pearlescent sand-bauxite castable was smaller than that of conventional bauxite *** addition of the modified pearlescent sand can greatly reduce the thermal conductivity and bulk density of bauxite castable.

Polyoxometalates modified with complex cations have attracted increasing attention because of the fascinating properties and the controllable *** adjusting the synthesis conditions,four new terpyridine complexes based hybrid POMs,[(TPY-H)CuCl]_(4)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2DMF·2H_(2)O(1),[(TPY-H)Cu(DMSO)(H_(2)O)]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2H_(2)O(2),[(TPY-H)_(2)Cu]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·6DMSO·8H_(2)O(3) and[(TPY-Br)CuCl(DMSO)(H_(2)O)]_(2)[(TPY-Br)CuCl]_(2)[W_(10)O_(32)]·2DMSO·4H_(2)O(4),were prepared by using‘one-pot’***-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,infrared radiation,etc.,revealed the structural composition of compounds 1—4,which indicates that synthesis conditions have a directional regulatory effect on the compounds *** oxidation catalytic reactions show 1—4 have good catalytic activities,and powder X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetry analysis show 1—4 have superduper catalytic ***,4 has better catalytic activity because of the different structure of terpyridine ***,a possible mechanism of dual-site catalysis by both cations and anions is proposed.

Ketogenic diet therapy in children with epilepsy caused by SLC2A1 mutations:a single-center single-arm retrospective study

Background This retrospective study assessed the efficacy and safety of ketogenic diet therapies in children with epilepsy caused by SLC2A1 genetic mutations and glucose transporter type 1 deficiency *** Pediatric patients with epilepsy symptoms admitted to our medical center between January 2017 and October 2021 were included if they presented with an SLC2A1 genetic mutation on whole-exome *** analyzed the patients’convulsions and treatment with antiepileptic *** patients were followed up at different time periods after ketogenic diet *** Six patients with SLC2A1 mutations were included in this *** patients had seizures of different types and frequencies,and they took antiepileptic drugs to relieve their *** were then treated with a ketogenic diet for at least four *** analyzed epilepsy control rates at 1,2,3,6,and 12 months after ketogenic diet *** patients were seizure-free within a month of receiving the diet *** patients were followed up for six months,three were followed up for 12 months after the treatment,and there was no recurrence of epilepsy during this *** antiepileptic drug withdrawal,none of the patients experienced seizure relapse when receiving ketogenic diet treatment *** severe adverse events occurred during the *** Ketogenic diet therapy is very effective and safe for the treatment of epilepsy caused by SLC2A1 ***,patients with glucose transporter type 1 deficiency syndrome caused by SLC2A1 mutations should begin ketogenic diet treatment as soon as possible.

Holographic optical elements(HOEs)based on polymer composites have become a research hot spot in recent years for augmented reality(AR)due to the significant improvement of optical performance,dynamic range,ease of processing and high yield ***,it remains a formidable challenge to obtain a large field of view(FOV)and brightness due to the limited refractive index ***,we report an effective method to tackle the challenge by doping an epoxy liquid crystal termed E6M,which enables a large refractive index modulation of 0.050@633 nm and low haze of 5.0%at a doping concentration of 5 wt%.This achievement may be ascribed to the improved molecular ordering of liquid crystals within the holographic polymer *** high refractive index modulation can endow transmission-type holographic polymer composites with a high diffraction efficiency of 96.2%at a small thickness of 5μm,which would promise the design of thin and lightweight AR devices.

Research on Modeling and Parameter Identification of Comprehensive Load Model of Distribution Network in Industrial Park

With the rapid development of industrial parks, its load model research has become a hot spot. In order to study the load of power system in industrial park, based on the characteristics of the industrial park load, a comprehensive load admittance static model with full voltage range adaptability is considered, and a comprehensive load model of distribution network of the industrial park is established. A complete parameter identification of the model is carried out through chaos particle swarm optimization. The simulation results show that the model can effectively describe the load characteristics of the distribution network in industrial parks.

Research on the quasi-isentropic driving model of aluminized explosives in the detonation wave propagation direction

Taking CL-20(Hexanitrohexaazaisowurtzitane)-based aluminized explosives with high gurney energy as the research object, this research experimentally investigates the work capability of different aluminized explosive formulations when driving metal flyer plates in the denotation wave propagation *** research results showed that the formulations with 43 μm aluminum(Al) powder particles(The particle sizes of Al powder were in the range of 2~43 μm) exhibited the optimal performance in driving flyer plates along the denotation wave propagation direction. Compared to the formulations with Al powder 13 μm, the formulations with Al powder 2 μm delivered better performance in accelerating metal flyer plates in the early stage, which, however, turned to be poor in the later stage. The CL-20-based explosives containing 25% Al far under-performed those containing 15% Al. Based on the proposed quasi-isentropic hypothesis, relevant isentropy theories, and the functional relationship between detonation parameters and entropy as well as Al reaction degree, the characteristic lines of aluminized explosives in accelerating flyer plates were theoretically studied, a quasi-isentropic theoretical model for the aluminized explosive driving the flyer plate was built and the calculation methods for the variations of flyer plate velocity, Al reaction degree, and detonation product parameters with time and axial positions were developed. The theoretical model built is verified by the experimental results of the CL-20-based aluminized explosive driving flyer plate. It was found that the model built could accurately calculate the variations of flyer plate velocity and Al reaction degree over time. In addition, how physical parameters including detonation product pressure and temperature varied with time and axial positions was identified. Inverting the rock mass P-wave velocity field ahead of deep buried tunnel face while borehole drilling

Ginsenoside modified lipid-coated perfluorocarbon nanodroplets: A novel approach to reduce complement protein adsorption and prolong in vivo circulation

Lipid-coated perfluorocarbon nanodroplets(lp-NDs)hold great promise in bio-medicine as vehicles for drug delivery,molecular imaging and vaccine ***,their clinical utility is restricted by limited targeted accumulation,attributed to the innate immune system(IIS),which acts as the initial defense mechanism in *** study aimed to optimize lp-ND formulations to mini-mize non-specific clearance by the ***(Gs),the principal components of Panax ginseng,possessing complement inhibition ability,structural similarity to cholesterol,and comparable fat solubi-lity to phospholipids,were used as promising candidate IIS *** different types of ginsenoside-based Ip-NDs(Gs Ip-NDs)were created,and their efficacy in reducing IS recognition was *** Gs p-NDs were observed to inhibit the adsorption of C3 in the protein corona(PC)and the generation of *** Gs to Ip-NDs reduced complement adsorption and phagocytosis,resulting in a longer blood circulation time in vivo compared to lp-NDs that did not contain *** results suggest that Gs can act as anti-complement and anti-phagocytosis adjuvants,potentially reducing non-specific clear-ance by the IS and improving lifespan.
