In this paper we focus on the boundary regularity for a class of k-Hessian equations which can be degenerate and(or)singular on the boundary of the *** by the case of Monge-Ampere equations,we first construct sub-solutions,then apply the characteristic of the global Holder continuity for convex functions,and finally use the maximum principle to obtain the boundary Holder continuity for the solutions of the k-Hessian ***,finding such sub-solutions is very difficult due to the complexity of the k-Hessian *** particular,we employ the symmetric mean to overcome the difficulties.

In this paper, we study the evolution of hypersurface moving by the mean curvature minus an external force field. It is shown that the flow will blow up in a finite time if the mean curvature of the initial surface is larger than some constant depending on the boundness of derivatives of the external force field. For a linear force, we prove that the convexity of the hypersurface is preserved during the evolution and the flow has a unique smooth solution in any finite time and expands to infinity as the time tends to infinity if the initial curvature is smaller than the slope of the force.

＜正＞Objective:Ischemic/hypoxic preconditioning（I/HPC） is a phenomenon in which ischemic/hypoxic exposure protects the tissue/organ against damage caused by a subsequent ischemic/hypoxic *** cerebral I/ HPC-induced neuroprotection may provide a new strategy for treating cerebral ischemic/hypoxic injuries in clinical practice,but the molecular mechanism underlying cerebral I/HPC is *** present study is designed to indentify which miRNAs might be involved in cerebral ischemic/hypoxic injury and the development of cerebral ***:Using our established HPC and middle cerebral artery occlusion（MCAO）-induced focal cerebral ischemia mouse model,miRNA microarray was used to determine the effect of HPC on miRNA expression in ischemic penumbra of MCAO treated ***:There were 17 miRNAs with significant alterations in cerebral cortex of HPC mice,including 4 up and 13 down regulated miRNAs.65 miRNAs changed significantly in ischemic penumbra of MCAO mice,in which 26 and 39 miRNAs were up- and downregulated,*** addition,33 miRNAs were observed in ischemic penumbra of MCAO mice after HPC exposure,which includes 11 upregulation and 22 *** compared the significantly changed miRNAs in above three groups and found that let- 7g*,miR-144:9.1,miR-297a,miR-30c-2*,miR-465c-5p,miR-466a-5p,miR-466f,miR-615-3p,miR-654-5p and miR-679 were downregulated both in cerebral cortex of HPC mice and ischemic penumbra of MCAO+HPC mice, indicating the involvement of the cerebral *** cerebral cortex of HPC mice and ischemic penumbra of MCAO mice,miR-30a and miR-598 were upregulated and downregulated respectively,showing the induction of cerebral *** HPC pretreatment could relieve the downregulation of miR-134,miR-181b,miR-22*,miR-331- 3p,miR-378 and miR-665,and inhibit the upregulation of solexa-231-1844 in ischemic penumbra of MCAO mice, suggesting the key role in HPC-induced nueroprotection against cerebral ischemic ***

Orthokeratology(OK) is widely used for effective myopia correction and control. However, the incomplete understanding of its biomechanical mechanisms makes OK lens fitting rely heavily on clinician judgment, complicating accurate predictions of treatment outcomes. In this paper, we performed clinical experiments and numerical analysis to study corneal deformation modes and long-term changes in central corneal thickness. Clinical experiments were conducted on 194 Chinese myopic patients under OK treatment for 3 months. Based on the experimental data, a patient-specific computational biomechanical model for OK was established and validated. Specifically, the anisotropic mechanical properties of the cornea were incorporated into the model to describe the significant difference between its shear modulus(29.5 kPa) and tensile modulus(768.4 kPa). Additionally, a viscohyperelastic material model with a prolonged corneal relaxation time of 5.6 h was developed to capture the long-term deformation response. The results show that corneal thickness reduction in OK is primarily due to out-of-plane shear deformation,influenced by the cornea's low shear resistance. Modeling the extended corneal relaxation time is crucial for predicting long-term biomechanical responses. The computational model effectively captures long-term changes in central corneal thickness, potentially improving OK lens fitting accuracy.

Vaccinations are essential for preventing and treating disease,especially cancer nanovaccines,which have gained considerable interest recently for their strong anti-tumor immune *** can prompt the immune system to generate antibodies and activate various immune cells,leading to a response against tumor tissues and reducing the negative effects and recurrence risks of traditional chemotherapy and *** enhance the flexibility and targeting of vaccines,nanovaccines utilize nanotechnology to encapsulate or carry antigens at the nanoscale level,enabling more controlled and precise drug delivery to enhance immune *** nanovaccines function by encapsulating tumor-specific antigens or tumor-associated antigens within *** small size of these nanomaterials allows for precise targeting of T cells,dendritic cells,or cancer cells,thereby eliciting a more potent anti-tumor *** this paper,we focus on the classification of carriers for cancer nanovaccines,the roles of different target cells,and clinically tested cancer nanovaccines,discussing strategies for effectively inducing cytotoxic T lymphocytes responses and optimizing antigen presentation,while also looking ahead to the translational challenges of moving from animal experiments to clinical trials.

Reperfusion following cerebral ischemia causes both structural and functional damage to brain tissue and could aggravate a patient's condition;this phenomenon is known as cerebral ischemia-reperfusion *** studies have elucidated the neuroprotective role of the sirtuin protein family(Sirtuins)in modulating cerebral ischemia-reperfusion ***,the potential of utilizing it as a novel intervention target to influence the prognosis of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury requires additional *** this review,the origin and research progress of Sirtuins are summarized,suggesting the involvement of Sirtuins in diverse mechanisms that affect cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury,including inflammation,oxidative stress,blood-brain barrier damage,apoptosis,pyroptosis,and *** therapeutic avenues related to Sirtuins that may improve the prognosis of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury were also investigated by modulating Sirtuins expression and affecting representative pathways,such as nuclear factor-kappa B signaling,oxidative stress mediated by adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase,and the forkhead box *** review also summarizes the potential of endogenous substances,such as RNA and hormones,drugs,dietary supplements,and emerging therapies that regulate Sirtuins *** review also reveals that regulating Sirtuins mitigates cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury when combined with other risk *** Sirtuins show promise as a potential target for the treatment of cerebral ischemiareperfusion injury,most recent studies are based on rodent models with circadian rhythms that are distinct from those of humans,potentially influencing the efficacy of Sirtuinstargeting drug ***,this review provides new insights into the role of Sirtuins in the pathology and treatment of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury.

Background::Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),which is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),has rapidly spread throughout the *** this study,we aimed to identify the risk factors for severe COVID-19 to improve treatment ***::A multicenter,cross-sectional study was conducted on 313 patients hospitalized with *** were classified into two groups based on disease severity(nonsevere and severe)according to initial clinical *** test results and epidemiological and clinical characteristics were analyzed using descriptive *** and multivariate logistic regression models were used to detect potential risk factors associated with severe ***::A total of 289 patients(197 nonsevere and 92 severe cases)with a median age of 45.0(33.0,61.0)years were included in this study,and 53.3%(154/289)were ***(192/286,67.1%)and cough(170/289,58.8%)were commonly observed,followed by sore throat(49/289,17.0%).Multivariate logistic regression analysis suggested that patients who were aged≥65 years(OR:2.725,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.317-5.636;P=0.007),were male(OR:1.878,95%CI:1.002-3.520,P=0.049),had comorbid diabetes(OR:3.314,95%CI:1.126-9.758,P=0.030),cough(OR:3.427,95%CI:1.752-6.706,P<0.001),and/or diarrhea(OR:2.629,95%CI:1.109-6.231,P=0.028)on admission had a higher risk of severe ***,stratification analysis indicated that male patients with diabetes were more likely to have severe COVID-19(71.4%vs.28.6%,χ2=8.183,P=0.004).Conclusions::The clinical characteristics of those with severe and nonsevere COVID-19 were significantly *** elderly,male patients with COVID-19,diabetes,and presenting with cough and/or diarrhea on admission may require close monitoring to prevent deterioration.

Aim: To investigate the gene expression profile changes in the cerebral cortex of mice injected icv with amyloid beta-protein fragment 25-35 using cDNA microarray. Methods: Balb/c mice were randomly divided into a control group and’ A(3-treated group. The Morris water maze test was performed to detect the effect of A-injection on the learning and memory of mice. Atlas Mouse 1.2 Expression Arrays containing 1176 genes were used to investigate the gene expression pattern of each group. Results: The gene expression profiles showed that 19 genes including TBXl, NF-kB, AP-1/c-Jun, cadherin, integrin, erb-B2, and FGFRl were up-regulated after 2 weeks of icv administration of A; while 12 genes were down-regulated, including NGF, glucose phosphate isomerase 1, AT motif binding factor 1, Na~+/K~+-ATPase, and Akt. Conclusions: The results provide important leads for pursuing a more complete understanding of the molecular events of Ap-injection into mice with Alzheimer disease.
