Yield ratios and directed flows of light particles from proton-rich nuclei-induced collisions

The neutron-to-proton and3 H-to-3 He yield ratios, and the directed flows of particles dependent on a reduced rapidity, the transverse momentum per nucleon,and a reduced impact parameter are investigated for ^(28)S+^(28)Si and ^(32)S+^(28)Si systems at 50 and 400 MeV/u using an isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics *** results show that these yield ratios of projectile-like fragments are approximately equal to the constituent neutron-to-proton ratio of the projectile. There are clear differences of the directed flows for isospin-related fragments neutron and proton,~3H and ~3He from ^(28)S+^(28)Si *** differences in directed flows for neutrons and protons and ~3H–~3He from a proton-rich nucleus ^(28)S- induced collisions are noticeably larger than those from a stable nucleus ^(32)S- induced reactions under medium impact parameters. Thus, the yield ratios and differences in directed flows for the neutrons and protons and ~3H–~3He under medium impact parameters are proposed as possible observable items for studying isospin physics.

Thermodynamic analysis and reaction behaviors of alkali metal elements during iron ore sintering

Reaction thermodynamics and behaviors of alkali metal compounds were studied by FactSage7.1 and sinter pot trials. Main transformation behavior of alkali metal compounds was divided into three parts: part of alkali metal chloride was gasified and emitted into the flue gas, and most of alkali metal chloride turned into sulfate, which was remained in the finished sinter, through reacting with sulfur oxide;KAlSi3O8 and NaAlSi3O8 were transformed into KAlSi2O6, NaAlSi2O6 and alkali metal oxides by reacting with calcium oxide. Moreover, newly formed alkali metal oxides turned into sulfate and silicate, entering finished sinter finally. Only a small amount of KAlSi3O8 and NaAlSi3O8 were reduced into gaseous alkali metals in ambient strong reduction atmosphere and removed into the flue gas. 21.67% of potassium and 14.56% of sodiumentered flue gas. In finished sinter, alkali metal elements existed in the form of alkali metal sulfate, silicate and aluminosilicate. The influences on alkali metal elements distribution, basicity (mass ratio of CaO to SiO2 in sinter), sulfur content, chloride content and coal ratio of raw materials indicated that increasing basicity level, rising coal ratio and adding CaCl2 promoted the removal of alkali metal elements into the flue gas. However, with sulfur content increasing in raw materials, alkali metal elements distribution ratio in the finished sinter rose.

Functional ternary salt construction enabling an in-situ Li3N/LiF-enriched interface for ultra-stable all-solid-state lithium metal batteries

Poly（ethylene oxide）-based polymer all-solid-state lithium metal batteries（ASSLBs） have received widespread attention due to their low cost,good process ability,and high energy ***,the growth of Li dendrites within polymer solid-state electrolytes damages the reversibility of Li anodes and still impedes their widespread *** efficient strategy is to construct a superior solid electrolyte ***,a stable interface enriched with Li3N and LiF is in-situ formed between Li anode and a terna ry salt *** terna ry salt electrolyte is innovatively designed by introducing lithium bis（trifluoromethane sulfonyl）imide（LiTFSI）,lithium bis（fluorosulfonyl）imide（LiFSI）,and LiNO3to poly（ethylene oxide） *** characterization indicates that LiNO3and LiFSI contribute to forming a Li3N-LiF-enriched interface and meanwhile LiTFSI ensures excellent ***,among various Li compound components,Li3N has high ionic conductivity,which is beneficial for reducing overpotential,while LiF has high interfacial energy which can enhance nucleation energy and suppress the formation of Li *** experimental results show that ASSLBs coupled with LiFePO4cathode display extremely excellent cycle stability approximately 2200 cycles at 2 C,with a final and corresponding discharge specific capacity of 96.7 mA h g-1. Additionally,a schematic illustration of the working mechanism for the Li3N-LiF interface is proposed.

Boosting cationic and anionic redox activity of Li-rich layered oxide cathodes via Li/Ni disordered regulation

Lithium-rich layered oxides (LLOs) are increasingly recognized as promising cathode materials for nextgeneration high-energy-density lithium-ion batteries (LIBs).However,they suffer from voltage decay and low initial Coulombic efficiency (ICE) due to severe structural degradation caused by irreversible O ***,we introduce a three-in-one strategy of increasing Ni and Mn content,along with Li/Ni disordering and TM–O covalency regulation to boost cationic and anionic redox activity simultaneously and thus enhance the electrochemical activity of *** target material,Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.168)Mn_(0.558)Co_(0.074)O_(2)(L1),exhibits an improved ICE of 87.2%and specific capacity of 293.2 mA h g^(-1)and minimal voltage decay of less than 0.53 m V cycle-1over 300 cycles at 1C,compared to Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)Co_(0.13)O_(2)(Ls)(274.4 mA h g^(-1)for initial capacity,73.8%for ICE and voltage decay of 0.84 mV/cycle over 300 cycles at 1C).Theoretical calculations reveal that the density of states (DOS) area near the Fermi energy level for L1 is larger than that of Ls,indicating higher anionic and cationic redox reactivity than ***,L1 exhibits increased O-vacancy formation energy due to higher Li/Ni disordering of 4.76%(quantified by X-ray diffraction Rietveld refinement) and enhanced TM–O covalency,making lattice O release more difficult and thus improving electrochemical *** increased Li/Ni disordering also leads to more Ni^(2+)presence in the Li layer,which acts as a pillar during Li+de-embedding,improving structural *** research not only presents a viable approach to designing low-Co LLOs with enhanced capacity and ICE but also contributes significantly to the fundamental understanding of structural regulation in high-performance LIB cathodes.

Thermal effects on wear behavior of additively manufactured NiTi shape memory alloys

NiTi alloys fabricated by laser powder bed fusion(LPBF)additive manufacturing technology not only address the compositional instability resulting from complex processes but also solve the challenges of difficult machining of intricate aerospace ***,there are very few reports on the wear behavior of LPBF-NiTi *** the present work,the effects of microstructure and thermal treatment,including heat treatment and frictional heat,on the wear behavior of LPBF-NiTi alloy and 100Cr6 ball were analyzed through a series of tribological experiments with different sliding *** the average sliding speed increases(0.079–0.216 m/s),the wear rate of the as-built and heat-treated samples tends to decrease in the range of 2.69×10^(-3)–0.97×10^(-3)mm^(3)/*** the heat-treated LPBF-NiTi alloy is 46%harder than the as-built alloy is,the latter has a higher toughness(505 MJ/m^(3))and greater transformation strain of SIM(0.097).This leads to a coupling effect of heat treatment and sliding speed on the wear *** addition,the wear track morphologies under different sliding speeds are asymmetric due to the 24% greater acceleration at the far end from the motor and the 2.15 mm deviation between the maximum speed position and the geometric center of the *** wear modes of the as-built and heat-treated samples included adhesive,abrasive and delamination ***,the wear morphologies and dominant wear modes change with the frictionally caused heat release induced by the sliding speed.

Efficient activation of peroxymonosulfate for catalytic degradation of organic pollutants by simultaneously using low-level cobalt ions and calcium carbonate micro-particles

An efficient catalytic system was developed to remove various organic pollutants by simultaneously using low-level cobalt ions,calcium carbonate micro-particles and peroxymonosulfate(PMS).A simple base-induced precipitation was used to successfully loaded Co-centered reactive sites onto the surface of CaCO_(3)*** optimal conditions at 25°C,10 mg/L methylene blue(MB)could be completely degraded within 10 min with 480μg/L Co^(2+),0.4 g/L CaCO_(3)microparticles(or 0.4 g/L Co@CaCO_(3))and 0.1 g/L *** MB degradation followed the pseudo first order kinetics with a rate constant of 0.583 min^(−1),being 8.3,11.5 and 53.0 times that by using Co-OH(0.07 min^(−1)),Co^(2+)(0.044 min^(−1))and CaCO_(3)(0.011 min^(−1))as the catalyst,*** was confirmed that there was a synergistic effect in the catalytic activity between Co species and the CaCO_(3)particles but the major contributor was the highly dispersed Co *** Co^(2+)-containing simulated electroplating wastewater was used as the Co^(2+)source,not only the added MB was also completely degraded within 5 min in this catalytic system,but also the coexisting heavy metal ions were substantially *** presently developed method was applied to simultaneously treat organic wastewater and heavy metals *** present method was also successfully used to efficiently degrade other organic pollutants including bisphenol A,sulfamethoxazole,rhodamine B,tetrabromobisphenol A,ofloxacin and benzoic acid.A catalytic mechanism was proposed for the PMS activation by Co@CaCO_(3).The surface of CaCO_(3)particles favors the adsorption of Co^(2+).More importantly,the surface of CaCO_(3)particles provides plentiful surface-OH and-CO_(3)^(2+),and these surface groups complex with Co^(2+)to producemore catalytically active species such as surface[CoOH]^(−),resulting in rapid Co^(2+)/Co^(3+)cycling and electron *** interactions cause the observed synergistic effect between Co species and Ca

Silk damping is well known in the study of cosmic microwave background(CMB)and accounts for suppression of the angular power spectrum of CMB on large angular *** this article,we study the effect of Silk damping on the scalar-induced gravitational waves(SIGWs).Resulting from the dissipation of cosmic fluid,the Silk damping notably suppresses the energy-density spectrum of SIGWs on scales comparable to a diffusion scale at the decoupling time of weakly-interacting *** effect offers a novel observable for probing the underlying particle interaction,especially for those mediated by heavy gauge bosons beyond the standard model of *** anticipate that pulsar timing arrays are sensitive to gauge bosons with mass∼10^(3)-10^(4)GeV,while space-and ground-based interferometers to those with mass∼10^(7)-10^(12)GeV,leading to essential comple-ments to on-going and future experiments of high-energy physics.

Phenanthrene perturbs hematopoietic development and causes hematopoietic defects in zebrafish

Phenanthrene(Phe)is one of the common polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the environment,and recent studies show that it can cause cardiac developmental toxicity and ***,it is still unknown whether it can affect the hematopoietic development in aquatic *** address this question,zebrafish(Danio rerio)were chronically exposed to Phe at different *** found that Phe caused structural damage to the renal tubules in the kidney,induced malformed erythrocytes in peripheral blood,and decreased the proportion of myeloid cells in adult zebrafish,suggesting possible negative impacts that Phe posed to hematopoietic ***,using in situ hybridization technology,we found that Phe decreased the expression of primitive hematopoietic marker genes,specifically gata1 and pu.1,accompanied by an obstruction of primitive erythrocyte ***,Phe impaired definitive hematopoiesis,increased aberrations of the transient hematopoietic site(PBI),and reduced the generation of hematopoietic stem cells,ultimately influencing the number of erythrocytes and myeloid *** findings suggested that Phe could induce hematopoietic toxicity in zebrafish embryos and pose unknown ecological risks.
