Magnetic resonance imaging combined with serum endolipin and galactagoglobin-3 to diagnose cerebral infarction in the elderly with diabetes mellitus

BACKGROUND Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)combined with serum endothelin and galactagoglobin-3(Gal-3)can improve the clinical diagnosis of diabetes mellitus complicated with cerebral *** To analyze the clinical value of MRI combined with serum endolipin and Gal-3 for the diagnosis of cerebral infarction in the elderly with diabetes *** One hundred and fifty patients with acute cerebral infarction hospitalized between January 2021 and December 2023 were divided into two groups according to comorbid diabetes mellitus,including 62 and 88 cases in the diabetic and nondiabetic cerebral infarction *** samples were collected to detect the expression of serum endolipoxins,and Gal-3,and cranial MRI was performed at *** between the two groups were compared to analyze the diagnostic value of these *** Serum endolipin and Gal-3 expression were higher in the diabetic cerebral infarction group(P<0.05).The arterial wall area,vessel area,normalized wall index,and lumen stenosis rate were higher in the diabetic cerebral infarction group,while the rate of arterial lumen moderate and severe stenosis was 48.39% higher(36.36%,P<0.05).The percentage of large(29.03%)and multiple infarcts(33.87%)in the diabetic cerebral infarction group was higher(13.64% and 20.45%),and the incidence rate of lacunar infarcts was lower(37.10%vs 65.91%)(P<0.05).The total incidence of arterial plaque in patients in the diabetic cerebral infarction group was 96.77% higher(69.32%),while the incidence of necrotic lipid core plaque was 58.06%higher(26.14%)(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis was performed to assess the diagnosis utility of these *** in combination with serum endoglin and Gal-3 had the highest area under the curve,the Yoden index,sensitivity and specificity(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The expression of serum endolipin and Gal-3 in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus with cerebral infarction showed an eleva

Effect of ciRS-7 expression on clear cell renal cell carcinoma progression

An Fe-based nanocrystalline alloy powder is important for application in microwave absorption,and the particle size has a critical impact on the electromagnetic microwave ***,it is necessary to study further the effects of the particle size on such parameters and improve the microwave absorption performance of Febased nanocrystalline *** this study,Fe-B-P particles were prepared through a synthetic approach consisting of an aqueous chemical reduction and a ball milling *** investigated the effects of ball milling on the microstructure and electromagnetic properties of Fe-B-P *** experimental results indicate that the Fe-B-P particles synthesized through an aqueous chemical reduction are amorphous ***-B-P particles with an original particle size of 200-1200 nm can be milled into an irregular shape with the size reduced to\500 nm after 0.5 h of ball milling,and subsequently,the particles become smaller with increases in the milling time,with traces of Fe2O3 generated on the particle *** results of the Mo¨ssbauer spectra show that a portion of the small particles demonstrate a superparamagnetic *** volume proportions of the superparamagnetic component increase from 13.1 to 15.8%as the treatment time *** measured the permittivity and permeability spectra of Fe-B-P particles within the frequency range of 2-18 *** reflection loss(RL)is-10 dB for an absorber thickness of 1.7-5.0 *** RL is-20 dB for an absorber thickness of 1.9-2.7 *** microwave absorption properties of samples with the same thickness are improved with an increase in the treatment time and are shifted to a higher frequency,which will broaden the bandwidth of the absorption as well.

A new access scheme in OFDMA systems

This article presents a dynamic random access scheme for orthogonal frequency division multiple access （OFDMA） systems. The key features of the proposed scheme are it is a combination of both the distributed and the centralized schemes, it can accommodate several delay sensitivity classes, and it can adjust the number of random access channels in a media access control （MAC） frame and the access probability according to the outcome of Mobile Terminals access attempts in previous MAC frames. For floating populated packet-based networks, the proposed scheme possibly leads to high average user satisfaction.

Electrochemical Performance of Solid Polymer Electrolyte PEO_(20)-LiTf-Urea_(1.5)

A new solid polymer electrolyte PEO20-LiTf-Urea1.5 was prepared by solution casting technique. The energy of frontier orbitals for the components of the electrolyte was predicted by quantum chemistry calculations, and TG stability and electrochemical features were measured. Urea exhibited a lower HOMO energy than PEO, implying its enhanced stability against electrochemical oxidation. Experimentally addition of urea increases the ionic conductivity, which guarantees conductivity requirement for lithium ion batteries. It also results in significant improved electrochemical stability with good thermal stability. Favorable lithium stripping/plating performance is yielded, and it confirms the good stability of the solid electrolyte interphase for the PEO20-LiTf-Urea1.5 system.

Crack analysis in Ti-6Al-4V alloy produced by selective laser melting

Quality and property control have become one of the critical problems for the metallic parts produced by selective laser *** this paper,the crack spontaneously formed in the Ti-6 Al-4 V alloy by selecting laser melting is *** crack is C-shape without branching in macro *** micro view,the crack originates from and propagates toward the selective laser melting(SLM)processing *** crack surface topography shows that the crack is typical dimple cleavage.A few heads of martensiticα’laths appear at the bottom of the *** the secondary crack nucleates and grows up near by the martensiticα’laths.A lot of spatters and cavities formed at the top surface of the SLM body and the residual stress accumulated in the SLM body is up to 640 MPa,which confirms that the SLM processing defects and the residual stress induced the origination and propagation of the *** research results indicate that preventing spatter and controlling residual stress are important to SLM processing.

Charge doping effect on σ-π conjugated copolymers

The charge-doping effect on the geometric and the electronic structures of organosilicon oligomers nSix(C=C)+y has been studied using density functional theory. Charge-doping can significantly lower the excitation energies. Interchain hole hopping mainly occurs between the π-conjugated units. A doped nSix(C=C)+y oligomer can undergo a structural rearrangement. The simulated UV/vis absorption peak of the rearranged structure is located at higher energy than the non-rearranged one. The hole transfer rate is significantly decreased if a doped molecule undergoes a rearrangement. These results offer a basis to explain previously observed experimental phenomena.

Influence of pH on short-cut denitrifying phosphorus removal

Through a series of experiments using denitrifying phosphorus-accumulating sludge in sequencing batch reactors （SBRs）, the variations of the intracellular polymers during the anaerobic phosphorus release process at different pH values were compared, the probable reasons for different performances of phosphorus removal were examined, and system operations in a typical cycle were investigated. The results show that the phosphorus removal rate was positively correlated with pH values in a range of 6.5-8.5. When the pH value was 8.0, the anaerobic phosphorus release rate and anoxic phosphorus uptake rate of the activated sludge were 20.95 mg/（g, h） and 23.29 mg/（g, h）, respectively; the mass fraction of poly-13-hydroxybutyrate （PHB） increased to 62.87 mg/g under anaerobic conditions; the mass fraction of polyphosphate was 92.67 mg/g under anoxic conditions; and the effluent concentration of total phosphorus （TP） was 1.47 mg/L. With the increase of pH, the mass fraction of acetic acid and PHB also increased, and the absorption rate of acetic acid was equal to the disintegration rate of polyphosphate. When the pH value was above 8.0, biological phosphorus removal was achieved by chemical phosphorus precipitation, and the phosphorus removal rate decreased.

Potential Anti-cancer Activity of Furanodiene

Objective： To study the isolated from the essential oil VIVO anti-tumor activities of furanodiene of the rhizome of Curcuma wenyujin （C15H200）, a primary sesquiterpene compound YH Chen et C. Ling（Wen Ezhu）, in vitro and in Methods： In vitro MTT assay was used to further study the effects of time and dosage on anti-proliferation of furanodiene against the sensitive Hela, Hep-2, HL-60, U251 cells, based on the cytotoxic effects of furanodiene on 12 human malignant tumor cell lines with the essential oil of Wen Ezhn as control., and the half-inhibitory concentration （IC50） was observed. In vivo uterine cervix （U14） tumor cell was selected and the conventional assay method of anti-tumor activity was employed. Furanodiene liposome was administered intraperitoneally, and tumor-inhibitory rate, thymus and spleen indexes were observed. Results： The inhibitive effects on cell proliferation were shown in all of the twelve cell lines and the cytotoxic effects of furanodiene against Hela, Hep-2, HL-60, U251 cells were observed after 12 h of administration, the effect could last for at least 48 h in a dose dependent manner, and the IC50 values were 0.6, 1.7, 1.8, 7.0μg/ml, respectively. Furanodiene was also found to show inhibitive effects on the proliferation of uterine cervix （U14） tumor induced in mice. The tumor inhibition rates were 36.09% （40 mg/kg）, 41.55% （60 mg/kg）, 58.29% （80 mg/kg）, respectively. Conclusion： Furanodiene is one of primary anti-cancer active components in the essential oil of Wen Ezhu, and also a very effective agent against uterine cervix cancer, and has protection effect on the immune function.

Geochronological and geochemical constraints on the petrogenesis and geodynamic process of Hemler,Vlinder,and Il'ichev seamount lavas in NW Pacific

Oceanic intraplate volcanoes with linear age progressions are usually accepted to be derived from melting of an upwelling mantle *** seamount groups in NW Pacific,however,show complex age-distance relationships that are difficult to explain using the classic“mantle plume hypothesis”,and thus their origins are *** this study,we present ^(40)Ar-^(39)Ar age,geochemical,and Sr-Nd-Pb-Hf isotopic data of lavas from Hemler,Vlinder,and Il’ichev seamounts in NW Pacific,to elucidate their petrogenesis and geodynamic *** lavas from Hemler,Vlinder,and Il’ichev seamounts are classified as alkali basalt,basanite/nephelinite,and *** with Mg O>8 wt.%exhibit high contents of CaO,FeO^(T),and TiO_(2),similar to the composition of melts formed from reaction between carbonated eclogite-derived melts and fertile *** lavas have elevated Zr/Hf ratios(40.6-45.2)and negative Zr and Hf anomalies,indicating the presence of a carbonate component in the mantle *** are enriched in incompatible trace elements and have enriched mantle 1(EM1)-like SrNd-Pb-Hf isotopic *** isotopic compositions of Vlinder,Il’ichev basanite,and Hemler lavas in this study are similar to the Rarotonga *** occurring at the same seamount,the Il’ichev alkali basalts display more depleted SrNd-Hf isotopic compositions compared to Il’ichev *** to plate tectonic reconstruction results,the ages of Hemler(100.1 Ma),Vlinder pre-(100.2 Ma)and post-shield(87.5 Ma),and Il’ichev(56.4 Ma)lavas clearly deviate from the Macdonald,Arago,Rarotonga,and Samoa hotspot tracks,indicating that they cannot directly originate from mantle *** propose that in the mid-Cretaceous,when the Pacific plate passed over Rarotonga hotspot,melting of Rarotonga plume formed the Vlinder(main-shield stage),Pako,and Ioah *** Rarotonga(and possibly Samoa)plume materials would have been dispersed into the surrounding asthenosphere by mantle conve
