Herein we present a fluorinated metal-organic framework of{(Me_(2)NH_(2))[Ni_(3)(μ_(3)-OH)(CF_(3)-BPDC-CF_(3))_(3)(tpt)]}_(n)(1)constructed from 2,2'-bis(trifluoromethyl)biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic(CF_(3)-BPDC-CF_(3)^(2-))and 2,4,6-tri(4-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine(tpt)ligands,which is developed for separating propane(C_(3)H_(8))and ethane(C_(2)H_(6))from natural *** 1 preferentially adsorbs C_(3)H_(8)and C_(2)H_(6)over CH_(4)demonstrated by gas adsorption *** presence of trifluoromethyl groups on the biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylic ligands facilitates the highly polarized micropore environments for compound 1,thus providing suitable micorpores for capturing the C_(3)H_(8)and C_(2)H_(6)molecules with larger polarizabilities and sizes compared to CH_(4)*** dynamic mixture breakthrough experiments showed that compound 1 can separate C_(3)H_(8)and C_(2)H_(6)from the ternary CH_(4)/C_(2)H_(6)/C_(3)H_(8)mixtures efficiently,endowing compound 1 with excellent methane purification ability.

For engineering structures with saline soil as a filling material,such as channel slope,road subgrade,etc.,the rich soluble salt in the soil is an important potential factor affecting their safety *** study examines the Atterberg limits,shear strength,and compressibility of carbonate saline soil samples with different NaHCO3 contents in Northeast *** mechanism underlying the influence of salt content on soil macroscopic properties was investigated based on a volumetric flask test,a mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP)test,and a scanning electron microscopic(SEM)*** results demonstrated that when NaHCO3 contents were lower than the threshold value of 1.5%,the bound water film adsorbed on the surface of clay particles thickened continuously,and correspondingly,the Atterberg limits and plasticity index increased rapidly as the increase of sodium ion ***,the bonding force between particles was weakened,the dispersion of large aggregates was enhanced,and the soil structure became ***,the compressibility increased and the shear strength(mainly cohesion)decreased by 28.64%.However,when the NaHCO3 content exceeded the threshold value of 1.5%,the salt gradually approached solubility and filled the pores between particles in the form of crystals,resulting in a decrease in soil *** cementation effect generated by salt crystals increased the bonding force between soil particles,leading to a decrease in plasticity index and an improvement in soil mechanical ***,this work provides valuable suggestions and theoretical guidance for the scientific utilization of carbonate saline soil in backfill engineering projects.

Objective:To investigate the value of serum galectin-3 and midkine level determination for assessing tumor severity in patients with thyroid cancer. Methods:108 patients with thyroid cancer treated in our hospital between January 2013 and February 2016 were collected and divided into I–II stage thyroid cancer group (n=39), III stage thyroid cancer group (n=55) and IV stage thyroid cancer group (n=14) according to TNM stage;56 patients diagnosed with thyroid adenoma after physical examination in our hospital during the same period were selected as control group. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was used to determine serum galectin-3 and midkine levels of all groups;fluorescence quantitative PCR was used to determine proliferation gene and invasion gene mRNA expression in tumor tissue;Pearson test was used to analyze the correlation of serum galectin-3 and midkine levels with proliferation and invasion gene mRNA expression in patients with thyroid cancer. Results:Serum galectin-3 and midkine levels of patients with thyroid cancer were higher than those of control group (P<0.05), and the higher the tumor stage, the higher the serum galectin-3 and midkine levels;proliferation genes CyclinD1, BCL-2 and survivin mRNA expression in tumor tissue of patients with thyroid cancer were higher than those of control group (P<0.05) while p27 mRNA expression was lower than that of control group (P<0.05), invasion gene E-cadherin mRNA expression was lower than that of control group (P<0.05) while S100A4 and SATB1 mRNA expression were higher than those of control group (P<0.05), and the higher the tumor stage, the more significant the change of the above gene mRNA expression;Pearson test showed that serum galectin-3 and midkine levels in patients with thyroid cancer were correlated with proliferation and invasion gene expression in tumor tissue. Background: Malaria is a devastating infectious disease that disproportionally threatens hundreds of millions of people in developing countries. In the history of anti-malaria campaign, chloroquine(CQ) has played an indispensable role, however, its mechanism of action(MoA) is not fully ***: We used the principle of photo-affinity labeling and click chemistry-based functionalization in the design of a CQ probe and developed a combined deconvolution strategy of activity-based protein profiling(ABPP) and mass spectrometry-coupled cellular thermal shift assay(MS-CETSA) that identified the protein targets of CQ in an unbiased manner in this study. The interactions between CQ and these identified potential protein hits were confirmed by biophysical and enzymatic ***: We developed a novel clickable, photo-affinity chloroquine analog probe(CQP) which retains the antimalarial activity in the nanomole range, and identified a total of 40 proteins that specifically interacted and photocrosslinked with CQP which was inhibited in the presence of excess CQ. Using MS-CETSA, we identified 83 candidate interacting proteins out of a total of 3375 measured parasite proteins. At the same time, we identified 8 proteins as the most potential hits which were commonly identified by both ***: We found that CQ could disrupt glycolysis and energy metabolism of malarial parasites through direct binding with some of the key enzymes, a new mechanism that is different from its well-known inhibitory effect of hemozoin formation. This is the first report of identifying CQ antimalarial targets by a parallel usage of labeled(ABPP)and label-free(MS-CETSA) methods.
