Epitaxial growth of ultrathin ZrO_2(111) films on Pt(111)

Ordered epitaxial ZrO2 films were grown on Pt(111) and characterized by low energy electron diffraction (LEED), synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy (SRPES) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The films were prepared by vapor deposition of zirconium in an O2 atmosphere followed by annealing under ultra high vacuum. At low coverages, the films grew as discontinuous two-dimentional islands with ordered structures. The size and structure of these islands were dependent on the coverage of ZrO2 films. At coverage 6 ML, a continuous ZrO2(111) film was formed with a (1×1) surface LEED pattern coexisting with a (2×2) pattern. These ordered thin ZrO2 films provide good model surfaces of bulk ZrO2 and can be used for further fundamental studies of the surface chemistry of ZrO2 using modern surface science techniques.

Retrospective study of mycophenolate mofetil treatment in IgA nephropathy with proliferative pathological phenotype

Background Mycophenolate mofetil （MMF） and cyclophosphamide （CTX） are widely used in treating various kidney ***,whether they are effective and which one is better for treating IgA nephropathy patients with proliferative pathological phenotype in renal diseases,such as endocapillary proliferation,cellular crescents,and/or capillary loops fibrinoid necrosis is still ***,therefore,initiated a study to compare the effects of MMF and CTX in treating IgA nephropathy with the above pathological *** One hundred and nineteen patients with IgA nephropathy who had at least one of the three aforementioned lesions were *** patients were treated with prednisone; 48 patients received prednisone only （Pred group）,40 received MMF and prednisone （MMF ＋ Pred group）,and 31 were treated with CTX and prednisone （CTX ＋ Pred group）.The median time of follow-up was 30 months （maximum：96 months）.The primary endpoint was defined as renal *** incidence of remission of proteinuria was the secondary *** Serum creatinine in all groups declined significantly at different follow-up times （P=0.002）,and the differences among the three groups were significant （P＜0.001）.At 24 months of follow-up,the decline rates were 12.35％,32.95％,and 24.14％ in the Pred,MMF ＋ Pred,and CTX ＋ Pred groups *** urine protein excretion,the decline rates were 49.12％（Pred）,73.67％（MMF ＋ Pred）,and 63.53％（CTX ＋ Pred） respectively at 24 months of *** differences among the three groups were not significant （P=0.714）.Renal survival （the primary endpoint） was significantly different （P=0.027）; however,the sencondary endpoint was similar for all the three groups （P=0.100）.Conclusions For IgA nephropathy patients with endocapillary proliferation,cellular crescents,and/or fibrinoid necrosis of capillary loops,prednisone combined with MMF was more effective in lowering the serum creatinine than with *** MMF and orednisone treatment led to

Photoactive complexes of nonprecious transition metals, mainly including those in the first-row and partially the second-row of the Periodic table of elements, have received increasing attention in view of their low cost and long-term sustainability. They are recognized as promising alternatives to noble transition metal complex congeners that have been extensively studied in optoelectronic devices, artificial photosynthesis, photocatalysis, biodiagnostics, and therapeutics, etc. This review is devoted to a comprehensive summary on the classical and recent advances on photoactive nonprecious transition metal complexes, including photoactive Zr, V, Cr, Mo, and W complexes, Mn complexes and hybrids, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu complexes, and Zn and Cd complexes and hybrids. A particular focus is given on the molecular design, modulation of photophysical and photochemical properties, and applications of the representative and lately-developed nonprecious metal complexes. In addition, a perspective on the future development in this field is provided at the end of this review.

The design and fabrication of high toughness electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding composite films with diminished reflection are an imperative task to solve electromagnetic pollution *** MXene/ANF(aramid nanofibers)–MoS_(2)composite films with nacre-like layered structure here are fabricated after the introduction of MoS_(2)into binary MXene/ANF composite *** introduction of MoS_(2)fulfills an impressive“kill three birds with one stone”improvement effect:lubrication toughening mechanical performance,reduction in secondary reflection pollution of electromagnetic wave,and improvement in the performance of photothermal *** the introduction of MoS_(2)into binary MXene/ANF(mass ratio of 50:50),the strain to failure and tensile strength increase from 22.1±1.7%and 105.7±6.4 MPa and to 25.8±0.7%and 167.3±9.1 MPa,*** toughness elevates from 13.0±4.1 to 26.3±0.8 MJ m^(−3)(~102.3%)*** the reflection shielding effectiveness(SE_(R))of MXene/ANF(mass ratio of 50:50)decreases~10.8%.EMI shielding effectiveness(EMI SE)elevates to 41.0 dB(8.2–12.4 GHz);After the introduction of MoS_(2)into binary MXene/ANF(mass ratio of 60:40),the strain to failure increases from 18.3±1.9%to 28.1±0.7%(~53.5%),the SE_(R)decreases~22.2%,and the corresponding EMI SE is 43.9 *** MoS_(2)also leads to a more efficient photothermal conversion performance(~45 to~55℃).Additionally,MXene/ANF–MoS_(2)composite films exhibit excellent electric heating performance,quick temperature elevation(15 s),excellent cycle stability(2,2.5,and 3 V),and long-term stability(2520 s).Combining with excellent mechanical performance with high MXene content,electric heating performance,and photothermal conversion performance,EMI shielding ternary MXene/ANF–MoS_(2)composite films could be applied in many industrial *** work broadens how to achieve a balance between mechanical properties and versatility of composites in the case of high-function fillers.

The complex wiring,bulky data collection devices,and difficulty in fast and on-site data interpretation significantly limit the practical application of flexible strain sensors as wearable *** tackle these challenges,this work develops an artificial intelligenceassisted,wireless,flexible,and wearable mechanoluminescent strain sensor system(AIFWMLS)by integration of deep learning neural network-based color data processing system(CDPS)with a sandwich-structured flexible mechanoluminescent sensor(SFLC)*** SFLC film shows remarkable and robust mechanoluminescent performance with a simple structure for easy *** CDPS system can rapidly and accurately extract and interpret the color of the SFLC film to strain values with auto-correction of errors caused by the varying color temperature,which significantly improves the accuracy of the predicted strain.A smart glove mechanoluminescent sensor system demonstrates the great potential of the AIFWMLS system in human gesture ***,the versatile SFLC film can also serve as a encryption *** integration of deep learning neural network-based artificial intelligence and SFLC film provides a promising strategy to break the“color to strain value”bottleneck that hinders the practical application of flexible colorimetric strain sensors,which could promote the development of wearable and flexible strain sensors from laboratory research to consumer markets.

Previous studies have shown that deep learning is very effective in detecting known ***,when facing unknown attacks,models such as Deep Neural Networks(DNN)combined with Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM),Convolutional Neural Networks(CNN)combined with LSTM,and so on are built by simple stacking,which has the problems of feature loss,low efficiency,and low ***,this paper proposes an autonomous detectionmodel for Distributed Denial of Service attacks,Multi-Scale Convolutional Neural Network-Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Units-Single Headed Attention(MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA),which is based on a Multistrategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MI-ZOA).The model undergoes training and testing with the CICDDoS2019 dataset,and its performance is evaluated on a new GINKS2023 *** hyperparameters for Conv_filter and GRU_unit are optimized using the Multi-strategy Integrated Zebra Optimization Algorithm(MIZOA).The experimental results show that the test accuracy of the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the MIZOA proposed in this paper is as high as 0.9971 in the CICDDoS 2019 *** evaluation accuracy of the new dataset GINKS2023 created in this paper is *** to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model based on the Zebra Optimization Algorithm(ZOA),the detection accuracy on the GINKS2023 dataset has improved by 5.81%,precisionhas increasedby 1.35%,the recallhas improvedby 9%,and theF1scorehas increasedby 5.55%.Compared to the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA models developed using Grid Search,Random Search,and Bayesian Optimization,the MSCNN-BiGRU-SHA model optimized with the MI-ZOA exhibits better performance in terms of accuracy,precision,recall,and F1 score.

Background Awareness is a serious complication of general anesthesia. In China, the incidence of intraoperative awareness was 1% in patients undergoing total intravenous anesthesia （TIVA）. In this study, we compared the incidence of awareness between Bispectral index （BIS）-guided and routine TIVA protocol and evaluated the effect of BIS on preventing awareness. Methods A prospective, randomized, double-blinded, multicenter controlled trial was performed. Patients （〉18 years of age） undergoing TIVA were randomly divided into BIS-guided group （Group A, BIS was monitored and recommended to maintain between 40-60） and control group （Group B, BIS was monitored but the screen was covered）. The intraoperative BIS values were downloaded and the BIS trends of confirmed awareness cases were analyzed to determine whether light anesthesia existed. Results Of the total 5228 patients, 2919 patients were assigned to Group A and 2309 to Group B. Four cases of confirmed awareness （0.14%） were reported in the BIS-guided group and 15 （0.65%） in the control group （P=-0.002, OR=0.21, 95% confidence intervals： 0.07-0.63）. The incidence of possible awareness （0.14% vs. 0.26%, P=0.485） and dreaming （3.1% vs. 3.1%, P=0.986） was comparable between BIS-guided group and the control group. Among the 19 confirmed awareness cases, intraoperative BIS trends of six cases were downloaded and identified. Five of them showed signs of light anesthesia as BIS 〉60 and lasted 19-106 minutes, whereas one case had a stable BIS trend and the values were within 60 during the operation. Another five awareness cases were reviewed for anesthesia procedures, of which improper light anesthesia were confirmed. Conclusions BIS-guided TIVA （BIS was recommended to maintain between 40-60） decreased the risk of awareness compared with routine TIVA. The main reason for awareness was light anesthesia.
