Design and Experimental Verification of a Roll Control Strategy for Large Wingspan Flapping-Wing Aerial Vehicle

Most flapping-wing aircraft wings use a single degree of freedom to generate lift and thrust by flapping up and down,while relying on the tail control surfaces to manage ***,these aircraft have certain limitations,such as poor accuracy in attitude control and inadequate roll control *** paper presents a design for an active torsional mechanism at the wing's trailing edge,which enables differential variations in the pitch angle of the left and right wings during *** simple mechanical form significantly enhances the aircraft's roll control *** experimental verification of this mechanism was conducted in a wind tunnel using the RoboEagle flapping-wing aerial vehicle that we *** study investigated the effects of the control strategy on lift,thrust,and roll moment during flapping ***,the impact of roll control on roll moment was examined under various wind speeds,flapping frequencies,angles of attack,and wing ***,several rolling maneuver flight tests were performed to evaluate the agility of RoboEagle,utilizing both the elevon control strategy and the new roll control *** results demonstrated that the new roll control strategy effectively enhances the roll control capability,thereby improving the attitude control capabilities of the flapping-wing aircraft in complex wind field *** conclusion is supported by a comparison of the control time,maximum roll angle,average roll angular velocity,and other relevant parameters between the two control strategies under identical roll control input.

MTCR-CR Routing Strategy for Connection-Oriented Routing over Satellite Networks

The high-speed movement of satellites makes it not feasible to directly apply the mature routing scheme on the ground to the satellite ***-DVTR in the snapshot-based connectionoriented routing strategy is one of the representative solutions,but it still has room for improvement in terms of routing *** this paper,we propose an improved scheme for connection-oriented routing strategy named the Minimal Topology Change Routing based on Collaborative Rules(MTCR-CR).The MTCR-CR uses continuous time static topology snapshots based on satellite status to search for intersatellite link(ISL)construction solutions that meet the minimum number of topology changes to avoid route *** simulation results in Beidou-3 show that compared with DT-DVTR,MTCR-CR reduces the number of routing changes by about 92%,the number of path changes caused by routing changes is about38%,and the rerouting time is reduced by approximately 47%.At the same time,in order to show our algorithm more comprehensively,the same experimental index test was also carried out on the Globalstar satellite constellation.

Electromagnetic characteristic analysis and design of a linear motor used for ultra-high-speed EMS maglev train

The operating speed of the commercial electromagnetic suspension(EMS)maglev train has been over 430 km/h,making it the fastest means of land *** the increasing demands of people traveling,it is necessary to further improve the operating speed of maglev *** to examine whether the existing EMS system can meet the requirements of ultra-highspeed operation(more than 600 km/h),the electromagnetic characteristics of an EMS linear motor under the operating speed of 600–1000 km/h fed by a square-wave voltage supply is investigated in this ***,an electromagnetic field model of the EMS system under the square-wave voltage supply is established to investigate its electromagnetic performance,e.g.,the characteristics of phase current,the magnetic flux density,and the electromagnetic ***,the relationship between the harmonic components of the air-gap magnetic flux density and electromagnetic force is investigated using the two-dimensional fast Fourier transform(2D-FFT)to reveal the mechanism of electromagnetic force ***,to address the issues of excessive armature current density and significant electromagnetic force ripple,the linear motor is re-designed by enlarging the stator slot area and reshaping the mover's main magnetic ***,the Taguchi method is used to further improve the electromagnetic characteristics of the linear electric ***,the effectiveness of the proposed optimal design is validated by the finite-element analysis(FEA)based co-simulation.

Optimal proportioning of iron ore in sintering process based on improved multi-objective beluga whale optimisation algorithm

Proportioning is an important part of sintering,as it affects the cost of sintering and the quality of sintered *** address the problems posed by the complex raw material information and numerous constraints in the sintering process,a multi-objective optimisation model for sintering proportioning was established,which takes the proportioning cost and TFe as the optimisation ***,an improved multi-objective beluga whale optimisation(IMOBWO)algorithm was proposed to solve the nonlinear,multi-constrained multi-objective optimisation *** algorithm uses the con-strained non-dominance criterion to deal with the constraint problem in the ***,the algorithm employs an opposite learning strategy and a population guidance mechanism based on angular competition and two-population competition strategy to enhance convergence and population *** actual proportioning of a steel plant indicates that the IMOBWO algorithm applied to the ore proportioning process has good convergence and obtains the uniformly distributed Pareto ***,compared with the actual proportioning scheme,the proportioning cost is reduced by 4.3361¥/t,and the TFe content in the mixture is increased by 0.0367%in the optimal compromise ***,the proposed method effectively balances the cost and total iron,facilitating the comprehensive utilisation of sintered iron ore resources while ensuring quality assurance.

Soil productivity(SP) without external fertilization influence is an important indicator for the capacity of a soil to support crop ***,there have been difficulties in estimating values of SPs for soils after various long-term field treatments because the treatment without external fertilization is used but is depleted in soil nutrients,leading to erroneous *** objectives of this study were to estimate the change of SP across different cropping seasons using pot experiments,and to evaluate the steady SP value(which is defined by the basal contribution of soil itself to crop yield) after various longterm fertilization treatments in soils at different geographical *** pot experiments were conducted in Jinxian of Jiangxi Province with paddy soil,Zhengzhou of Henan Province with fluvo-aquic soil,and Gongzhuling of Jilin Province with black soils,*** were collected after long-term field fertilization treatments of no fertilizer(control;CK-F),chemical fertilizer(NPK-F),and combined chemical fertilizer with manure(NPKM-F).The soils received either no fertilizer(F0) or chemical fertilizer(F1) for 3-6 cropping seasons in pots,which include CK-P(control;no fertilizer from long-term field experiments for pot experiments),NPK-P(chemical fertilizer from long-term field experiments for pot experiments),and NPKM-P(combined chemical and organic fertilizers from long-term field experiments for pot experiments).The yield data were used to calculate SP *** initial SP values were high,but decreased rapidly until a relatively steady SP was achieved at or after about three cropping seasons for paddy and fluvo-aquic *** steady SP values in the third cropping season from CK-P,NPK-P,and NPKM-P treatments were 37.7,44.1,and 50.0% in the paddy soil,34.2,38.1,and 50.0% in the fluvo-aquic soil,with the highest value observed in the NPKM-P treatment for all ***,further research is required in the black soils to incorporate more than t

Exploration of microscopic physical processes of Z-pinch by a modified electrostatic direct implicit particle-in-cell algorithm

For investigating efficiently the stagnation kinetic-process of Z-pinch,we develop a novel modified electrostatic implicit particle-in-cell algorithm in radial one-dimension for Z-pinch simulation in which a small-angle cumulative binary collision algorithm is *** our algorithm,the electric field in z-direction is solved by a parallel electrode-plate model,the azimuthal magnetic field is obtained by Ampere’s law,and the term for charged particle gyromotion is approximated by the cross product of the averaged velocity and magnetic *** simulation results of 2 MA deuterium plasma shell Zpinch,the mass-center implosion trajectory agrees generally with that obtained by one-dimensional MHD simulation,and the plasma current also closely aligns with the external *** phase space diagrams and radial-velocity probability distributions of ions and electrons are *** main kinetic characteristic of electron motion is thermal equilibrium and oscillation,which should be oscillated around the ions,while that of ion motion is implosion *** the region of stagnation radius,the radial-velocity probability distribution of ions transits from the non-equilibrium to equilibrium state with the current increasing,while of electrons is basically the equilibrium *** the initial ion density and current peak are not high enough,the ions may not reach their thermal equilibrium state through collisions even in its stagnation phase.

Experimental Study on the Effect of Increased Downstroke Duration for an FWAV with Morphing-coupled Wing Flapping Configuration

This paper is based on a previously developed bio-inspired Flapping Wing Aerial Vehicle(FWAV),RoboFalcon,which can fly with a morphing-coupled flapping *** this paper,a simple flapping stroke control system based on Hall effect sensors is designed and applied,which is capable of assigning different up-and down-stroke speeds for the RoboFalcon platform to achieve an adjustable downstroke *** aerodynamic and power characteristics of the morphing-coupled flapping pattern and the conventional flapping pattern with varying downstroke ratios are measured through a wind tunnel experiment,and the corresponding aerodynamic models are developed and analyzed by the nonlinear least squares *** relatively low power consumption of the slow-downstroke mode of this vehicle is verified through outdoor flight *** results of wind tunnel experiments and flight tests indicate that increased downstroke duration can improve aerodynamic and power performance for the RoboFalcon platform.

A Strong,Tough,and Self-Healing Strengthening Thioctic Acid-based Elastomer for Highly Reliable Flexible Strain Sensor

Elastomers with high strength and toughness,excellent self-healing properties,and biocompatibility have broad application prospects in wearable electronics and other fields,but preparing it remains a *** this work,we propose a highly adaptable strategy by introducing the small molecule crosslinking agent of triethanolamine(TEA)to the poly(thioctic acid)(PTA)chains and preparing the PAx Ey elastomers using a simple synthesis *** strategy stabilizes the PTA chains by constructing multiple non-covalent cross-linked dynamic networks,endowing materials with excellent strength and toughness(tensile strength of 288 kPa,toughness of 278.2 kJ/m3),admirable self-healing properties(self-healing efficiency of 121.6%within 7 h at 70℃),and good *** PAx Ey elastomers can also be combined with MWNTs to become flexible strain sensors,which can be used to monitor human joint movements with high sensitivity,repeatable responses,and stability.

Comparison of Rotating Stall Warning by Different Methods for Variable Speed Configurations in a Contra-Rotating Compressor

Stall in compressors can cause performance degradation and even lead to *** unacceptable consequences can be avoided by timely monitoring stall inception and taking effective *** paper focused on the rotating stall warning in a low-speed axial contra-rotating ***,the stall disturbance characteristics under different speed configurations were *** results showed that as the speed ratio(RR)increased,the stall disturbance propagation speed based on the rear rotor speed gradually ***,the standard deviation(SD)method,the cross-correlation(CC)method,and the discrete wavelet transform(DWT)method were employed to obtain the stall initiation moments of three different speed *** was found that the SD and CC methods did not achieve significant stall warning results in all three speed ***,the stall initiation moment obtained by the DWT method at RR=1.125 was one period after the stall had fully developed,which was ***,a stall warning method was developed in the present work based on the long short-term memory(LSTM)regression *** applying the LSTM model,the predicted stall initiation moments of three speed configurations were at the 557th,518th,and 333rd revolution,which were44,2,and 74 revolutions ahead of stall onset moments,***,in scenarios where a minor disturbance preceded the stall,the stall warning effect of the LSTM was greatly improved in comparison with the aforementioned three *** contrast,when the pressure fluctuation before the stall was relatively small,the differences between the stall initiation moments predicted by these four methods were not significant.

Chiral chemicals have attracted significant interest in the pharmaceutical industry,yet the separation methods to get pure enantiomers from racemic mixture are still *** date,the separation of enantiomers still mainly depends on chromatography using high-cost chiral stationary ***,wood channels were used as the handheld integrated device,and enantiomer separation was simultaneously detected using an electrochemical *** this method,a chiral UIO-66(L-UIO-66)modified enantiomer separation zone and carbonized wood based online detection zone are integrated along a single wood *** on the in situ separation results from the chronoamperometry data,the wood device shows excellent separation ability for a wide range of electrochemically active enantiomers,including 3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine,amino acids,ascorbic acid,carnitine,and penicillamine with high chirality *** unbiased molecular dynamic simulations indicate that the excellent chiral recognition and separation are attributed to the different barriers from the bound states to the dissociated state of the enantiomers in the homochiral microenvironment of the *** integrated enantiomer separation-electrochemical detection device provides a novel,easy,and low-cost platform for the separation of pure enantiomer from racemic mixture.
