ECG quality assessment based on a kernel support vector machine and genetic algorithm with a feature matrix

We propose a systematic ECG quality classification method based on a kernel support vector machine(KSVM) and genetic algorithm(GA) to determine whether ECGs collected via mobile phone are acceptable or not. This method includes mainly three modules, i.e., lead-fall detection, feature extraction, and intelligent classification. First, lead-fall detection is executed to make the initial classification. Then the power spectrum, baseline drifts, amplitude difference, and other time-domain features for ECGs are analyzed and quantified to form the feature matrix. Finally, the feature matrix is assessed using KSVM and GA to determine the ECG quality classification results. A Gaussian radial basis function(GRBF) is employed as the kernel function of KSVM and its performance is compared with that of the Mexican hat wavelet function(MHWF). GA is used to determine the optimal parameters of the KSVM classifier and its performance is compared with that of the grid search(GS) method. The performance of the proposed method was tested on a database from PhysioNet/Computing in Cardiology Challenge 2011, which includes 1500 12-lead ECG recordings. True positive(TP), false positive(FP), and classification accuracy were used as the assessment indices. For training database set A(1000 recordings), the optimal results were obtained using the combination of lead-fall, GA, and GRBF methods, and the corresponding results were: TP 92.89%, FP 5.68%, and classification accuracy 94.00%. For test database set B(500 recordings), the optimal results were also obtained using the combination of lead-fall, GA, and GRBF methods, and the classification accuracy was 91.80%.

BACKGROUND Safe and effective analgesia strategy remains one of the priorities for pediatric inguinal hernia *** To explore safety and efficacy of dexmededomidine monotherapy for postoperative analgesia in children who received laparoscopic unilateral internal inguinal ring *** This randomized single-center controlled trial included 390 children(aged 1-3 years,ASA grade I-II),randomly divided into a dexmededomidine group(D group),a dexmededomidine+sufentanil group(DS group),and a sufentanil group(S group).The primary endpoint was percentage of children with the Face,Legs,Activity,Cry,and Consolability(FLACC)score≤3 points 2 h after *** The comparisons of the FLACC scores at 2,4,6,8,12,and 24 h were not significantly different among the three groups(P>0.05).The sedative effects in the D group were significantly better than those in the S group(P>0.05),but not significantly different from those in the DS *** incidence of nausea and vomiting was significantly lower in the D group than in the S group and DS group(P>0.05).CONCLUSION Analgesic effects of dexmededomidine monotherapy are comparable to those of sufentanil alone or in combination with dexmededomidine for children who underwent laparoscopic unilateral internal inguinal ring ligation,with better sedative effects and a lower incidence of adverse events.

The textured roll and polished roll were applied instead of the ground roll in a 20-high mill to conduct two-pass rolling of 316L stainless steel strip with thickness of 0.027 *** the two-pass rolling with the textured roll and polished roll(TPR),the surface roughness of the strip is dramatically reduced,and the surface topographical anisotropy index is diminished to 30.9%of the initial *** with the strip rolled using the ground roll in both passes(GGR),the elongation of TPR rolled strip is obviously improved,and the mechanical property anisotropy is greatly *** anisotropy index of tensile strength and elongation are 42.58%and 52.59%of that of GGR rolled strip,which is mainly attributed to the significant decrease of the texture intensity of the strip by TPR *** results indicate that TPR process can obtain the stainless steel ultra-thin strip with smooth and uniform surface topography and good mechanical properties.

A polynomial resultant approach to algebraic constructions of extremal graphs

Mach reflection and pressure/heating loads on V-shaped blunt leading edges with variable cross-sections and crotches

The primary Mach Reflection(MR)and pressure/heating loads on V-shaped Blunt Leading Edges(VBLEs)with variable elliptic cross-sections and conic crotches are theoretically investigated in this *** simplified continuity method is used to forecast the shock *** theoretical predictions and the numerical simulations for the Mach stem and the triple point as well as the curved shock accord *** on the theoretical model,an analysis of the impact of the axial ratio a/b of the cross-sectional shape and the eccentricity e of the crotch sweep path on shock structures is carried *** shock configurations obtained from the theoretical model enable the derivation of the transition boundaries between the primary MR and the same family Regular Reflection(sRR).It is found that the increase of a/b and e can both facilitate the primary MR to sRR *** resulting transition and the corresponding generation of the wall pressure and heat flux are then *** results indicate that higher values of the ratio a/b can significantly reduce the wall pressure and heating loads by inducing the primary MR to sRR ***,the increase in the eccentricity e results in increased loads,despite causing the same transition.

Large-scale shaking table test on unlined tunnel in fault zone under threedimensional earthquake

A fault is a geological structure characterized by significant displacement of rock masses along a fault plane within the Earth's *** Yunnan Tabaiyi Tunnel intersects multiple fault zones,making tunnel construction in fault-prone areas particularly vulnerable to the effects of fault activity due to the complexities of the surrounding geological *** investigate the dynamic response characteristics of tunnel structures under varying surrounding rock conditions,a three-dimensional large-scale shaking table physical model test was *** study also aimed to explore the damage mechanisms associated with the Tabaiyi Tunnel under seismic *** results demonstrate that poor quality surrounding rock enhances the seismic response of the *** effect is primarily attributed to the distribution characteristics of acceleration,dynamic strain,and dynamic soil pressure.A comparison between unidirectional and multi-directional(including vertical)seismic motions reveals that vertical seismic motion has a more significant impact on specific tunnel ***,the maximum tensile stress is observed at the arch shoulder,with values ranging from 60 to 100 k ***,NPR(Non-Prestressed Reinforced)anchor cables exhibit a substantial constant resistance effect under low-amplitude seismic ***,when the input earthquake amplitude reaches 0.8g,local sliding occurs at the arch shoulder region of the NPR anchor *** findings underscore the importance of focusing on seismic mitigation measures in fault zones and reinforcing critical areas,such as the arch shoulders,in practical engineering applications.

Ultrasonic humidifiers are commonly used in households to maintain indoor humidity and generate a large number of droplets or spray ***,there have been various health concerns associated with humidifier use,largely due to aerosols generated during ***,we investigated the size distribution,chemical composition,and charged fraction of aerosol particles emitted from commercial ultrasonic *** metals in water used for humidifiers were found to be highly enriched in the ultrasonic humidifier aerosols(UHA),with the enrichment factors ranging from 102 to *** enrichment may pose health concerns for the building occupants,as UHA concentrations of up to 106 particles/cm^(3) or 3 mg/m^(3) were ***,approximately 90%of UHA were observed to be electrically charged,for the first time according to our *** on this discovery,we proposed and tested a newmethod to remove UHA by using a simple electrical *** designed electrical field in this work can efficiently remove 81.4%of ***,applying this electrical field could be an effective method to significantly reduce the health risks by UHA.

From waste to wealth:Coal tar residue derived carbon materials as low-cost anodes for potassium-ion batteries

Carbon materials are widely recognized as highly promising electrode materials for various energy storage system *** tar residues(CTR),as a type of carbon-rich solid waste with high value-added utilization,are crucially important for the development of a more sustainable *** this study,we employed a straightforward direct carbonization method within the temperature range of 700-1000℃to convert the worthless solid waste CTR into economically valuable carbon materials as anodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).The effect of carbonization temperature on the microstructure and the potassium ions storage properties of CTR-derived carbons(CTRCs)were systematically explored by structural and morphological characterization,alongside electrochemical performances *** on the co-regulation between the turbine layers,crystal structure,pore structure,functional groups,and electrical conductivity of CTR-derived carbon carbonized at 900℃(CTRC-900H),the electrode material with high reversible capacity of 265.6m Ah·g^(-1)at 50 m A·g^(-1),a desirable cycling stability with 93.8%capacity retention even after 100 cycles,and the remarkable rate performance for PIBs were ***,cyclic voltammetry(CV)at different scan rates and galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)have been employed to explore the potassium ions storage mechanism and electrochemical kinetics of *** indicate that the electrode behavior is predominantly governed by surface-induced capacitive processes,particularly under high current densities,with the potassium storage mechanism characterized by an“adsorption-weak intercalation”*** work highlights the potential of CTR-based carbon as a promising electrode material category suitable for high-performance PIBs electrodes,while also provides valuable insights into the new avenues for the high value-added utilization of CTR.
