Enhancement of subgap conductance in a graphene superconductor junction by valley polarization

We theoretically study the differential conductance of a graphene/graphene superconductor junction, where the valley polarization of Dirac electrons is considered in the nonsuperconducting region. It is shown that the subgap conductance will increase monotonically with the valley-polarization strength when the chemical potential μ is near the Dirac point μ≤ 3？（？ is the superconducting gap）, whereas it will decrease monotonically when μ is far away from the Dirac point, μ≥ 5？.The former case is induced by the specular Andreev reflection while the retro-reflection accounts for the later result. Our findings may shed light on the control of conductance of a graphene superconductor junction by valley polarization.

As cloud computing is moving forward rapidly, cloud providers have been encountering great challenges： long tail latency, low utilization, and high interference. They intend to co-locate multiple workloads on a single server to improve the resource utilization. But the co-located applications suffer from severe performance interference and long tail latency, which lead to unpredictable user experience. To meet these challenges, software-defined cloud has been proposed to facilitate tighter coordination among application, operating system and hardware. Users＇ quality of service （QoS） requirements could be propagated all the way down to the hardware with differential management mechanisms. However, there is little hardware support to maintain and guarantee users＇ QoS requirements. To this end, this paper proposes Labeled von Neumann Architecture （LvNA）, which introduces a labelling mechanism to convey more software＇s semantic information such as QoS and security to the underlying hardware. LvNA is able to correlate labels with various entities, e.g., virtual machine, process and thread, and propagate labels in the whole machine and program differentiated services based on rules. We consider LvNA to be a fundamental hardware support to the software-defined cloud.

Present Status of JT-60sa Project and Development of Heating Systems for JT-60sa

Present status of the JT-60sa （JT-60 Super Advanced） project, implemented jointly by Europe and Japan since 2007, is described. The design of the main tokamak components was completed in late 2008, and all the scientific missions are preserved to contribute to ITER and DEMO reactors. The construction of the JT-60sa has begun with procurement activities for the superconducting magnet systems, vacuum vessel, in-vessel components and other components under the relevant procurement arrangements between the implementing agencies of JAEA （Japan Atomic Energy Agency） in Japan and Fusion for Energy in Europe. Designs and developments of the auxiliary heating systems for JT-60sa have been progressing at JAEA so as to provide the total injection power of 41 MW for 100 s.

The visible-light-driven photocatalytic CO2 reduction with high efficiency is highly desirable but ***,we present porphyrin-tetraphenylethene-based covalent organic frameworks(MP-TPE-COF,where M=H2,Co and Ni;TPE=4,4′,4″,4?-(ethane-1,1,2,2-tetrayl)tetrabenzaldehyde;COF=covalent organic framework)as ideal platforms for understanding photocatalytic CO2 reduction at molecular *** and theoretical investigations have demonstrated crucial roles of metalloporphyrin units in selective adsorption,activation and conversion of CO2 as well as in the separation of charge carriers and electron transfer,thus allowing for flexible modulation of photocatalytic activity and *** P-TPE-COF exhibits high CO evolution rate of 2,414μmol g-^1 h^-1 with the selectivity of 61%over H2 generation under visible-light irradiation,while Ni P-TPE-COF provides CO evolution rate of 525μmol g^-1 h^-1 and 93%selectivity with superior ***,the photocatalytic system is feasible for the simulated flue gas,which provides CO evolution rate of 386μmol g-1 h-1 and selectivity of 77%.This work provides in-depth insight into the structure-activity relationships toward the activation and photoreduction of CO2.

Layer-structured Ruddlesden–Popper(RP)perovskites(RPPs)with decent stability have captured the imagination of the photovoltaic research community and bring hope for boosting the development of perovskite solar cell(PSC)***,two-dimensional(2D)or quasi-2D RP PSCs are encountered with some challenges of the large exciton binding energy,blocked charge transport and poor film quality,which restrict their photovoltaic ***,these issues can be readily resolved by rationally designing spacer cations of *** review mainly focuses on how to design the molecular structures of organic spacers and aims to endow RPPs with outstanding photovoltaic *** firstly elucidated the important roles of organic spacers in impacting crystallization kinetics,charge transporting ability and stability of *** we brought three aspects to attention for designing organic ***,we presented the specific molecular structure design strategies for organic spacers of RPPs aiming to improve photovoltaic performance of RP *** proposed strategies in this review will provide new avenues to develop novel organic spacers for RPPs and advance the development of RPP photovoltaic technology for future applications.

Partial substitution of polyoxometalate(POM)is an efficient route to modulate the catalytic property of maternal *** this work,a new Keggin type POM involving{Ni 6}cluster,{[Ni(H_(2)O)_(2)(Dach)_(2)][Ni(Dach)_(2)]_(2)}{[Ni_(6)Cl(μ-OH)_(3)(H_(2)O)(Dach)_(3)(WO_(4))(PW9 O_(3)_(4))][Ni_(6)(μ-OH)_(3)(H_(2)O)_(2)(Dach)_(3)(WO_(4))(PW9 O_(3)_(4))]}Cl·27H_(2)O,(1,Dach=1,2-diaminocyclohexane)was *** 1 shows excellent catalytic performance in the selective oxidation of aniline to azoxybenzene(AOB)in *** apparently different results from that with the matrix{PW_(9)O_(34)}({PW9})suggest the successful regulation of the catalytic property of{PW9}by the introduction of the{Ni6}cluster into the *** experimental results indicate that the highlighted performance of 1 is contributed by the synergy of W and Ni sites,which are respectively responsible for the oxidation and condensation steps in the production of *** good selectivity to AOB is essentially attributed to the effective modulation of the reaction rates of oxidation and condensation steps by W and Ni sites,respectively.

We present a theoretical study of the medium modifications of the p_(T)balance (x_(J)) of dijets in Xe+Xe collisions at■.The initial production of dijets was carried out using the POWHEG+PyTHIA8 prescription,which matches the next-toleading-order (NLO) QCD matrix elements with the parton shower (PS) *** SHELL model described the in-medium evolution of nucleus–nucleus collisions using a transport *** theoretical results of the dijet xJin the Xe+Xe collisions exhibit more imbalanced distributions than those in the p+p collisions,consistent with recently reported ATLAS *** utilizing the Interleaved Flavor Neutralisation,an infrared-and-collinear-safe jet flavor algorithm,to identify the flavor of the reconstructed jets,we classify dijets processes into three categories:gluon–gluon (gg),quark–gluon (qg),and quark–quark (qq),and investigated the respective medium modification patterns and fraction changes of the gg,qg,and qq components of the dijet sample in Xe+Xe *** is shown that the increased fraction of qg component at a small x_(J)contributes to the imbalance of the dijet;in particular,the q_(1)g_(2)(quark-jet-leading) dijets experience more significant asymmetric energy loss than the g_(1)q_(2)(gluon-jet-leading) dijets traversing the *** comparing the■of inclusive,■ dijets in Xe+Xe collisions,we observe■.Moreover,ρ_(Xe),P_(b),the ratios of the nuclear modification factors of dijets in Xe+Xe to those in Pb+Pb,were calculated,which indicates that the yield suppression of dijets in Pb+Pb is more pronounced than that in Xe+Xe owing to the larger radius of the lead nucleus.
