Responses of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi to straw return and nitrogen fertilizer reduction in a rainfed maize field

Straw return can be used to reduce fertilizer input and improve agricultural sustainability and soil ***,how straw return and reduced fertilizer application affect beneficial soil microbes,particularly arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AMF),remains poorly ***,we conducted a five-year field experiment in a rainfed maize field on the Loess Plateau of northwestern *** tested four treatments with straw return combined with four nitrogen(n)application rates,i.e.,100%,80%,60%,and 0%of the common n application rate(225 kg n ha^(-1)year^(-1))in this region,and two reference treatments(full or no n application),with three replicates for each *** colonization was quantified and AMF communities colonizing maize roots were characterized using Illumina *** virtual taxa(VTs)of AMF were identified in root samples,among which VT113(related to Rhizophagus fasciculatus)and VT156(related to Dominikia gansuensis)were the predominant *** root length colonization and AMF VT richness were sensitive to n fertilization,but not to straw return;furthermore,both gradually increased with decreasing n application *** VT composition of the AMF community was also affected by n fertilization,but not by straw return,and the community variation could be well explained by soil available n and phosphorus ***,60%,80%,and full n fertilization produced similar maize ***,our study revealed the response patterns of AMF to straw return and n fertilizer reduction and showed that straw return combined with.n fertilizer reduction may be a promising practice to maintain mycorrhizal symbiosis concomitantly with crop productivity.

Compreh.nsive Summary,The azepine ring is a prominent structural scaffold in biologically significant molecules. In this study, we present a ni(II)-catalyzed asymmetric difunctionalization of alkynes, involving intermolecular regioselective arylation and intramolecular nitrile addition, enabling the synthesis of enantioenriched azepine derivatives. This reaction simultaneously installs an all-carbon quaternary stereocenter and introduces an unprotected imine functionality, showing great promise for subsequent transformations. The reaction exhibits good tolerance toward various functional groups, resulting in high yields and enantioselectivities. The synthetic utility of this methodology is further demonstrated through gram-scale synthesis and product derivatization. This research offers an efficient approach to the synthesis of seven-membered nitrogen heterocycles.

Rh.nium separation from molybdenum in molybdenite minerals and waste leachate has become an emerging *** this challenge,we prepared a set of protein-based alkylamine/alkylammonium salts complexes as extractants for selective uptake of rh.nium from molybdenum,where the protein component turned into the insoluble amyloid-like structure wh.n its internal disulfide bonds were reduced,namely phase-transition *** them,the phase-transited lysozyme and methyletrioctyleammonium chloride complex(PTL-n263)exhibited the most efficient adsorption at the alkaline condition for the electrostatic interaction between negatively charged metal ions with positively charged center(R_(4)n^(+))in n263,where negatively charged protein residues h.ndered the ion exch.nge of Cl^(-)in n263 for larger size Mo species(Mo_(7)O_(24)^(6-))th.n smaller size Re species(ReO^(4-)).The adsorption follows the Freundlich model and pseudo-second-order kinetics,which exhibits toplevel adsorption performance with a maximum adsorption capacity of 124 mg/g and a separation factor(β_(Re/Mo))of 2.78×10^(3)for *** adsorption capacity per unit area(57.2 mg/(g m^(2)))is 1.6–41 times higher th.n previously reported adsorbents,and the cost for adsorbing 1 g of Re(VII)is$1.07,indicating its industrial *** adsorption strategy can be applied to separating Re from Mo in binary solutions and industrial wastewater with other competing ions.

Synthesis of nay zeolite from a submolten depolymerized perlite:Alkalinity effect and crystallization kinetics

nay zeolites are synthesized using submolten salt depolymerized natural perlite mineral as the main silica and alumina sources in a 0.94 L stirred *** of alkalinity ranging from 0.38 to 0.55(n(na_(2)O)/n(SiO_(2)))on the relative crystallinity,textural properties and crystallization kinetics were *** results show that alkalinity exerts a nonmonotonic influence on the relative crystallinity and textural properties,which exhibit a maximum at the alkalinity of *** nucleation kinetics are studied by fitting the experimental data of relative crystallinity with the Gualtieri *** is shown that the nucleation rate constant increases with increasing alkalinity,while the duration period of nucleation decreases with increasing *** n(na_(2)O)/n(SiO_(2))ratios ranging from 0.38 to 0.55,the as-synthesized nay zeolites exhibit narrower crystal size distributions with the increase in *** growth rates determined from the variations of average crystal size with time are 51.09,157.50,46.17 and 24.75 nm·h^(-1),*** is found that the larger average crystal sizes at the alkalinity of 0.38 and 0.43 are attributed to the dominant role of crystal growth over ***,the combined action of prominent crystal growth and the longer duration periods of nucleation at the alkalinity of 0.38 and 0.43 results in broader crystal size *** findings demonstrate that control of the properties of nay zeolite and the crystallization kinetics can be achieved by conducting the crystallization process in an appropriate range of alkalinity of the reaction mixture.

Developing platinum-group-metal(PGM)catalysts possessing strong metal-support interaction and controllable PGM size is urgent for the sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)in proton-exch.nge membrane fuel ***,we propose an in-situ self-assembled reduction strategy to successfully induce highly-dispersed sub-3nm platinum nanoparticles(Pt nPs)to attach on resin-derived atomic Co coordinated by n-doped carbon substrate(Pt/Co_(SA)-n-C)for *** be specific,the interfacial electron interaction effect,along with a highly robust Co_(SA)-n-C support endow the as-fabricated Pt/Co_(SA)-n-C catalyst with significantly enh.nced catalytic properties,i.e.,a mass activity(MA)of 0.719 A/mgPt at 0.9 ViR-free and a reduction of 24.2%in MA after a 20,000-cycles *** functional theory(DFT)calculations demonstrate that the enh.nced electron interaction between Pt and Co_(SA)-n-C support decreases the dband center of Pt,which is in favor of lowering the desorption energy of ^(*)Oh on Pt/Co_(SA)-n-C surface and accelerating the formation of h_(2)O,thus enh.nce the instinct activity of ***,the higher binding energy between Pt and Co_(SA)-n-C compared to Pt and C indicates that the migration of Pt has been suppressed,which theoretically explains the improved durability of Pt/Co_(SA)-*** work offers an enlightenment on constructing composite Pt-based catalysts with multiple active sites.

Classification of solutions to the critical order elliptic system with general nonlinearity

Consider the following elliptic system:{（-?）u = f（u, v）,（0.1）（-?）v = g（u, v）,（0,1） where f and g are continuous functions and satisfy the finite total curvature conditions. Recently, Guo and Liu（2008） derived Liouville-type results for the positive solution of the semilinear elliptic system（0.1） in the whole space Rn（n 3）. however, the case n = 2 is different and difficult because u and v may ch.nge *** the method of moving spheres in the integral form combined with integral inequalities, we give a complete classification of the classical solutions to the above system in R2. This seems the first result for the classification of solutions（u, v）(here u and v are not required to be positive solutions) to the critical order system（0.1） in the two-dimensional case.

One-step growth of ultrath.n CoSe_(2)nanobelts on n-doped MXene nanosheets for dendrite-inhibited and kinetic-accelerated lithium-sulfur chemistry

The practical application of lithium–sulfur(Li–S)batteries is inhibited by the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides(LiPSs)and slow polysulfide redox kinetics on the S cathode as well as the uncontrollable growth of dendrites on the Li metal ***,both cathode and anode sides must be considered wh.n modifying LiS ***,two-dimensional(2D)ultrath.n CoSe_(2)nanobelts are in situ grown on 2D n-doped MXene nanosheets(CoSe_(2)@n-MXene)via one-step solvothermal process for the first *** to its unique 2D/2D structure,CoSe_(2)@n-MXene can be processed to crumpled nanosheets by freeze-drying and flexible and freestanding films by vacuum *** crumpled CoSe_(2)@nMXene nanosheets with abundant active sites and inner spaces can act as S hosts to accelerate polysulfide redox kinetics and suppress the shuttle effect of LiPSs owing to their strong adsorption ability and catalytic conversion effect with ***,the CoSe_(2)@n-MXene film(CoSe_(2)@nMF)can act as a current collector to promote uniform Li deposition because it contains lithiophilic CoSe_(2)and n *** the systematic effect of CoSe_(2)@n-MXene on S cathode and Li metal anode,the electrochemical and safety performance of Li–S batteries are ***_(2)@nMF also shows excellent storage performances in flexible energy storage devices.

The homogenous growth of Co-based coordination compound on graph.ne nanosheet for high-performance K-organic battery and its reaction mech.nism

Metal coordination compounds(MCCs)are gaining popularity for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs)owing to their tuneable structure,multiple reaction sites,low cost and unique ***,they are generally subjected to intrinsic features of the sluggish ionic diffusion coefficient,low electronic conductivity and slow ***,a new MCC material of cobalt-1,3,5-trioxy-2,4,6-triamino-benzo(Co-TB)coordination compound was synthesized and homogenously grown on the surface of graph.ne nanosheets(GnS),forming a Co-TB@GnS composite with enh.nced electronic conductivity and flexible *** from the overall enh.nced conductivity,high surface area and abundant activated K-storage sites,Co-TB@GnS electrodes have exhibited superior cycling performance with high reversible capacities(312 mAh·g^(-1)after 100 cycles at 100 mA·g^(-1),224 mAh·g^(-1)after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1))and better rate performances compared with the pure Co-TB compound wh.n served as PIB's ***,multiple in-situ measurement techniques have jointly confirmed that the organic functional groups(C=O,C=n and C=C of benzene rings)and Co^(2+)in Co-TB are the main reversible K-storage sites,including in-situ Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and X-ray diffraction(XRD),and partial capacity contribution is originated from GnS by the apparent K-storage behavior in the in-situ XRD pattern,proving the possibility of K-storage for metal-organic materials.
