Factors influencing farm.rs' adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. in Gujarat

Agriculture has played an im.ortant role in the growth of the Indian econom.. Water and electricity are essential inputs for agriculture today. India produces the third-largest am.unt of electricity in the world, behind China and the USA. As an incentive to increase production, m.st states provide free electricity to farm.rs. Free electricity has decreased groundwater levels and increased electricity consum.tion. The objective of this study was to find out the factors that influenced farm.rs to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in Gujarat. The sam.les were random.y selected. This study exam.ned the entire state of Gujarat. One hundred and fifty farm.rs who adopted solar water-pum.ing system. were interviewed, including 50 banana farm.rs, 50 cotton farm.rs and 50 groundnut farm.rs. Prim.ry data were collected through an interview. The adoption of solar water-pum.ing system. by farm.rs was identified using factor analysis. SPSS software was used to analyse the data collected. In this study, only two factors contributed to the variance of 59.469%. The adoption of solar water pum.s by farm.rs was influenced by governm.nt policy and econom.c benefits. An econom.c benefit variance of 33.20% was found, while a governm.nt policy variance was 26.27%. A solar water-pum.ing system.has low initial costs, flexible credit policies m.tivate adoption, solar water-pum.ing system. can save electricity, and m.intenance and repair costs are affordable. Governm.nt policy that includes solar water-pum.ing system. is m.tivated by awareness, subsidies for adoption and a fair price to sell energy surpluses. Farm.rs are recom.ended to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in conjunction with a drip irrigation system.to receive additional incom.. The successful schem. will be recom.ended to other states in India for im.lem.ntation. The factors that influence farm.rs to adopt a solar water-pum.ing system.in Gujarat, India are identified based on interviews with one hundred and fifty random.y sel

Upon infecting a host cell,the reticulate body(RB)form.of the Chlam.dia bacteria sim.ly proliferates by binary fission for an extended *** data show only RB units in the infected cells 20 hours post infection(hpi),spanning nearly half way through the developm.nt *** data collected every 4 hpi,conversion to the elem.ntary body(EB)form.begins abruptly at a rapid rate som.tim. around 24 *** m.deling proliferation and conversion as sim.le birth and death processes,it has been shown that the optim.l strategy for m.xim.zing the total(m.an)EB population at host cell lysis tim. is a bang-bang control qualitatively replicating the observed conversion ***,the sim.le birth and death m.del for the RB proliferation and conversion to EB deviates in a significant way from.the available data on the evolution of the RB population after the onset of RB-to-EB *** working with a m.re refined m.del that takes into account a sm.ll size threshold eligibility requirem.nt for conversion noted in the available data,we succeed in rem.ving the deficiency of the previous m.dels on the evolution of the RB population without affecting the optim.l bang-bang conversion strategy.

In this study,a num.rical m.thod based on the Pell-Lucas polynom.als(PLPs)is developed to solve the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidem.c m.del with a treatm.nt *** HIV/AIDS m.them.tical m.del with a treatm.nt com.artm.nt is divided into five classes,nam.ly,susceptible patients(S),HIV-positive individuals(I),individuals with full-blown AIDS but not receiving ARV treatm.nt(A),individuals being treated(T),and individuals who have changed their sexual habits sufficiently(R).According to the m.thod,by utilizing the PLPs and the collocation points,we convert the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidem.c m.del with a treatm.nt com.artm.nt into a nonlinear system.of the algebraic ***,the error analysis is presented for the Pell-Lucas approxim.tion *** aim.of this study is to observe the behavior of five populations after 200 days when drug treatm.nt is applied to HIV-infectious and full-blown AIDS *** dem.nstrate the usefulness of this m.thod,the applications are m.de on the num.rical exam.le with the help of *** addition,four cases of the fractional order derivative(p=1,p=0.95,p=0.9,p=0.85)are exam.ned in the range[0,200].Owing to applications,we figured out that the outcom.s have quite decent ***,we understand that the errors decrease when the value of N *** figures in this study are created in *** outcom.s indicate that the presented m.thod is reasonably sufficient and correct.

This paper proposes a new m.thod for service restoration of distribution network with the support of transportable power sources(TPSs)and repair crews(RCs).Firstly,a coupling m.del of distribution networks and vehicle routing of TPSs and RCs is proposed,where the TPSs serve as em.rgency power supply sources,and the RCs are used to repair the faulted *** the uncertainty of traffic congestion,the probability distribution of the travel tim. spent on each road is derived based on the Nesterov user equilibrium.m.del,and a two-stage stochastic program.is form.lated to determ.ne the optim.l routings of TPSs and *** efficiently solve the proposed stochastic m.xed-integer linear program.m.LP),a two-phase scenario reduction m.thod is then developed to scale down the problem.size,and an adaptive progressive hedging algorithm.is used for an efficient *** effectiveness of the proposed m.thods and algorithm. has been illustrated in a m.dified IEEE 33-bus system.

m.chanism. behind the environm.ntal sensitivity of carbon fiber reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)

Carbon fiber reinforced polytetrafluoroethylene (CF/PTFE) com.osites are known for their exceptional tribological perform.nce when sliding against steel or cast iron in inert gas environm.nts. Com.ared to experim.nts in hum.d air, about an order of m.gnitude lower wear rate and several tim.s lower coefficient of friction have been reported for tests conducted in dry nitrogen and hydrogen. m.reover, trace m.isture has been shown to affect the friction and wear significantly of this tribosystem. although a possible effect of oxygen cannot be ruled out due to uncertainties regarding the oxygen concentrations. While several studies have pointed out the environm.ntal sensitivity of CF/PTFE, the understanding of the underlying m.chanism. are very lim.ted. The objective of this research is to investigate the individual and com.ined effect of oxygen and m.isture on the tribological behavior of CF/PTFE sliding against steel. Additionally, this study aim. to elucidate the underlying m.chanism. that govern the environm.ntal sensitivity of the system. Clim.te-controlled three-pin-on-disc experim.nts were conducted in nitrogen atm.spheres at various concentrations of oxygen and m.isture. The tribological results clearly dem.nstrate that both m.isture and oxygen contribute to increased friction and wear. However, the adverse effect was m.ch m.re pronounced for oxygen than m.isture. A qualitative m.thod was developed to estim.te the tribofilm.coverage on the CF/PTFE surface. Results showed strong correlation between high coverage of strongly adhered tribofilm.and low wear rate. m.reover, a loosely adhered tribofilm.was observed on top of the CF/PTFE surface in presence of m.isture. FTIR analysis indicated that the loosely adhered tribofilm.found in the m.isture-enriched environm.nt contained a significant am.unt of adsorbed water, which m.y explain the lower coefficient of friction in presence of m.isture com.ared to oxygen. Search for production of dark ferm.on candidates in association with heavy neutral gauge boson decaying to dim.on in proton-proton collisions at√s=8 TeV using Cm. open data

In this study,we conducted a search for dark m.tter using a part of the data recorded by the Cm. experim.nt during run-I of the LHC in 2012 with a center of m.ss energy of 8 TeV and an integrated lum.nosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from.the Cm. open *** m.tter,in the fram.work of the sim.lified m.del(m.no-Z′),can be produced from.proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dim.on plus large m.ssing transverse m.m.ntum.*** benchm.rk scenario of m.no-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the Cm. open *** evidence of dark m.tter was observed,and exclusion lim.ts were set on the m.sses of dark m.tter and Z′at 95%confidence level.
