Deploying Hybrid EnsembleMachine Learning Techniques for Effective Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) Attack Detection

Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) remains a significant threat to web application security, exploiting vulnerabilities to hijack user sessions and steal sensitive data. Traditional detection methods often fail to keep pace with the evolving sophistication of cyber threats. This paper introduces a novel hybrid ensemble learning framework that leverages a combination of advanced machine learning algorithms-Logistic Regression (LR), Support Vector Machines (SVM), eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Categorical Boosting (CatBoost), and Deep Neural Networks (DNN). Utilizing the XSS-Attacks-2021 dataset, which comprises 460 instances across various real-world trafficrelated scenarios, this framework significantly enhances XSS attack detection. Our approach, which includes rigorous feature engineering and model tuning, not only optimizes accuracy but also effectively minimizes false positives (FP) (0.13%) and false negatives (FN) (0.19%). This comprehensive methodology has been rigorously validated, achieving an unprecedented accuracy of 99.87%. The proposed system is scalable and efficient, capable of adapting to the increasing number of web applications and user demands without a decline in performance. It demonstrates exceptional real-time capabilities, with the ability to detect XSS attacks dynamically, maintaining high accuracy and low latency even under significant loads. Furthermore, despite the computational complexity introduced by the hybrid ensemble approach, strategic use of parallel processing and algorithmtuning ensures that the system remains scalable and performs robustly in real-time applications. Rational design of AgGaS/ZnS/ZnS quantum dots with a near-unity photoluminescence quantum yield via double shelling scheme

Designing highly transparent cerium doped y_(2)O_(3) ceramics with high mechanical and thermal properties for UV-shielding in extreme conditions

Ultraviolet(UV)radiation poses risks to both human health and *** response to the urgent demand for UV-shielding across various applications,extensive endeavors have been dedicated to developing UV-shielding materials spanning from wide-bandgap semiconductors to organo-inorganic composite ***,existing UV shielding materials,though suitable for daily use,cannot meet the demands of extreme *** this work,we incorporated CeO_(2)as a UV absorber into y_(2)O_(3)transparent ceramics for *** effect of CeO_(2)concentration on the optical,mechanical,and thermal properties of y_(2)O_(3)ceramics was systematically *** findings indicate that CeO_(2)serves not only as a UV absorber but also as an effective sintering aid for y_(2)O_(3)transparent *** 5 at%Ce-doped y_(2)O_(3)transparent ceramics exhibit the optimal optical quality,with in-line transmittance of~77%at 800 *** introduction of Ce shifted the UV cutoff edge of y_(2)O_(3)transparent ceramics from 250 to 375 nm,which was attributed to the visible band absorption of Ce^(4+).This shift grants UV shielding capabilities to y_(2)O_(3)transparent ceramics,resulting in 100%shielding for ultraviolet C(UVC,100-280 nm)and ultraviolet B(UVB,280-320 nm)and~95%shielding for ultraviolet A(UVA,320-400 nm).The service stability(optical properties)under various corrosive conditions(acid,alkali,UV irradiation,and high temperature)was investigated,confirming the excellent stability of this transparent ceramic UV-shielding material.A comparison of the performance parameters of transparent ceramics with those of traditional UV shielding materials such as glasses,films,and coatings was *** work provides innovative design concepts and an effective solution for UVshielding materials for extreme conditions.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)is one of the most devastating traumas,and the aberrant proliferation of astrocytes usually causes neurological ***,the mechanism underlying astrocyte over-proliferation after SCI is ***2c(glutamate ionotropic receptor type 2c)plays an essential role in cell *** bioinformatic analysis indicated that Grin2c and Ca^(2+)transport functions were inhibited in astrocytes after *** of Grin2c stimulated astrocyte proliferation by inhibiting the Ca^(2+)/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase 2b(CaMK2b)pathway in *** screening different inflammatory factors,interleukin 1α(IL1α)was further found to inhibit Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b and enhance astrocyte proliferation in an oxidative damage *** of IL1αusing neutralizing antibody resulted in increased Grin2c expression and the inhibition of astrocyte proliferation ***,this study suggests that IL1αpromotes astrocyte proliferation by suppressing the Grin2c/Ca^(2+)/CaMK2b pathway after SCI,revealing a novel pathological mechanism of astrocyte proliferation,and may provide potential targets for SCI repair.
