Advancements in Remote Sensing Image Dehazing: Introducing URA-Net with Multi-Scale Dense Feature Fusion Clusters and Gated Jump Connection

The degradation of optical remote sensing images due to atmospheric haze poses a significant obstacle,profoundly impeding their effective utilization across various *** methodologies have emerged as pivotal components of image preprocessing,fostering an improvement in the quality of remote sensing *** enhancement renders remote sensing data more indispensable,thereby enhancing the accuracy of target *** defogging techniques based on simplistic atmospheric degradation models have proven inadequate for mitigating non-uniform haze within remotely sensed *** response to this challenge,a novel UNet Residual Attention Network(URA-Net)is *** paradigmatic approach materializes as an end-to-end convolutional neural network distinguished by its utilization of multi-scale dense feature fusion clusters and gated jump *** essence of our methodology lies in local feature fusion within dense residual clusters,enabling the extraction of pertinent features from both preceding and current local data,depending on contextual *** intelligently orchestrated gated structures facilitate the propagation of these features to the decoder,resulting in superior outcomes in haze *** validation through a plethora of experiments substantiates the efficacy of URA-Net,demonstrating its superior performance compared to existing methods when applied to established datasets for remote sensing image *** the RICE-1 dataset,URA-Net achieves a Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR)of 29.07 dB,surpassing the Dark Channel Prior(DCP)by 11.17 dB,the All-in-One Network for Dehazing(AOD)by 7.82 dB,the Optimal Transmission Map and Adaptive Atmospheric Light For Dehazing(OTM-AAL)by 5.37 dB,the Unsupervised Single Image Dehazing(USID)by 8.0 dB,and the Superpixel-based Remote Sensing Image Dehazing(SRD)by 8.5 *** noteworthy,on the SateHaze1k dataset,URA-Net attains preeminence in overall performance,yieldi

An M-VCUT level set-based data-driven model of microstructures and optimization of two-scale structures

The optimization of two-scale structures can adapt to the different needs of materials in various regions by reasonably arranging different microstructures at the macro scale,thereby considerably improving structural ***,a multiple variable cutting(M-VCUT)level set-based data-driven model of microstructures is presented,and a method based on this model is proposed for the optimal design of two-scale *** geometry of the microstructure is described using the M-VCUT level set method,and the effective mechanical properties of microstructures are computed by the homogenization ***,a database of microstructures containing their geometric and mechanical parameters is *** two sets of parameters are adopted as input and output datasets,and a mapping relationship between the two datasets is established to build the data-driven model of *** the optimization of two-scale structures,the data-driven model is used for macroscale finite element and sensitivity *** efficiency of the analysis and optimization of two-scale structures is improved because the computational costs of invoking such a data-driven model are much smaller than those of homogenization.

Synergistic silver-mediated and palladium-catalyzed nondirected olefination of aryl C–H bond: quick access to multi-substituted aryl olefins

Transition metal-catalyzed olefination of aryl C-H bond is a powerful tool for the synthesis of alkenes. While the Pd-catalyzed oxidative C-H olefination of arenes, also known as Fujiwara-Moritani reaction, has been established as one of the most efficient methods, the substrates are largely limited to terminal olefins with electron-withdrawing group(s). Herein, we report a synergistic silver-mediated and palladium-catalyzed non-directed C-H olefination of arenes with vinyl(pseudo)halides, which offers a complementary strategy to the typical Fujiwara-Moritani reaction. The reactions proceeded well for a variety of halogenated arenes, heteroarenes, and olefin substrates, providing an efficient access to various multi-substituted aryl olefins, including trisubstituted/tetrasubstituted olefins and several complex olefins derived from medicines or natural products. Mechanistic studies indicated a bimetallic Pd/Ag cooperation is operative in the catalysis, i.e., the reaction is initiated by aryl C-H bond cleavage via ligation with phosphine/Ag species, followed by transferring of the aryl moiety to a vinyl palladium intermediate,which is in turn formed by oxidative addition of vinyl(pseudo)halide to a Pd complex. This method enables the synthesis of a wide range of challenging multi-substituted vinyl products from simple arenes(directing-group free) in a streamlined and controllable fashion.

The Drag-Free and Attitude Control System(DFACS)is a critical platform for various space missions,including high precision satellite navigation,geoscience and gravity field measurement,and space scientific *** paper presents a comprehensive review of over sixty years of research on the design and dynamics model of ***,we examine the open literature on DFACS and its applications in Drag-Free missions,providing readers with necessary background information on the ***,we analyze the system configurations and main characteristics of different DFACSs,paying particular attention to the coupling mechanism between the system configuration and dynamics ***,we summarize the dynamics modeling methods and main dynamics models of DFACS from multiple perspectives,including common fundamentals and specific ***,we identify current challenges and technological difficulties in the system design and dynamics modeling of DFACS,while suggesting potential avenues for future *** paper aims to provide readers with a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art in DFACS research,as well as the future prospects and challenges in this field.

A review of the carbon coating of the silicon anode in highperformance lithium-ion batteries

In the development of rechargeable lithium ion batteries(LIBs),silicon anodes have attracted much attention because of their extremely high theoretical capacity,relatively low Li-insertion voltage and the availability of silicon ***,their large volume expansion and fragile solid electrolyte interface(SEI)film hinder their commercial *** solve these problems,Si has been combined with various carbon materials to increase their structural stability and improve their interface *** use of different carbon materials,such as amorphous carbon and graphite,as three-dimensional(3D)protective anode coatings that help buffer mechanical strain and isolate the electrolyte is detailed,and novel methods for applying the coatings are ***,carbon materials used as a protective layer still have some disadvantages,necessitating their *** developments have focused on modifying the protective carbon shells,and substitutes for the carbon have been suggested.

The reaction mechanism and interfacial crystallization of Al nanoparticle-embedded Ni under shock loading

The shock-induced reaction mechanism and characteristics of Ni/Al system,considering an Al nanoparticle-embedded Ni single crystal,are investigated through molecular dynamics *** the shock melting of Al nanoparticle,interfacial crystallization and dissolution are the main *** reaction degree of Al particle first increases linearly and then logarithmically with time driven by rapid mechanical mixing and following *** reaction rate increases with the decrease of particle diameter,however,the reaction is seriously hindered by interfacial crystallization when the diameter is lower than 9 nm in our ***,we found a negative exponential growth in the fraction of crystallized Al atoms,and the crystallinity of B2-NiAl(up to 20%)is positively correlated with the specific surface area of Al *** can be attributed to the formation mechanism of B2-NiAl by structural evolution of finite mixing layer near the collapsed *** shock melting of both Al particle and Ni matrix,the liquid-liquid phase inter-diffusion is the main reaction mechanism that can be enhanced by the formation of internal *** addition,the enhanced diffusion is manifested in the logarithmic growth law of mean square displacement,which results in an almost constant reaction rate similar to the mechanical mixing process.
