The oxidative stress response plays an important role in the occurrence and development of diabetic kidney disease(DKD).It has become a new treatment target for *** the current study,the effects of carbamylated erythropoietin(CEPO)on renal oxidative stress and damage in diabetic rats were *** Sprague Dawley rats were intraperitoneally administered with 60 mg/kg streptozotocin to establish the diabetes *** diabetic rats were randomly allocated into 4 groups(n=6 each):diabetes model group(DM group),DM+CEPO treatment group(DC group),DM+CEPO+EPO receptor(EPOR)blocking peptide treatment group(DCEB group),and DM+CEPO+CD131 blocking peptide treatment group(DCCB group).Meanwhile,a normal control group(NC group,n=6)was set *** tissues and blood samples were obtained for evaluation of oxidative stress and renal *** results showed that diabetic rats exhibited increased oxidative stress in the kidney and early pathological changes associated with *** with CEPO reduced oxidative stress and attenuated renal ***,diabetic rats treated with the combination of CEPO and EPOR blocking peptide or CD131 blocking peptide showed increased oxidative stress and reduced renal function when compared with CEPO treatment alone *** results suggested that CEPO can protect against kidney damage in DKD by inhibiting oxidative stress injury via EPOR-CD131 heterodimers.

BiFeO_(3)(BFO)has received considerable attention as a lead-free ferroelectric film due to its large theoretical remnant ***,BFO suffers from a large leakage current,resulting in poor ferroelectric ***,the sol-gel method was used to deposit a series of BFO-based thin films on fluorine-doped tin oxide substrates,and the effects of the substitution of the elements Co,Cu,Mn(B-site)and Sm,Eu,La(A-site)on the crystal structure,ferroelectricity,and leakage current of the BFO-based thin films were *** confirmed that lattice distortion by X-ray diffraction can be attributed to the substitution of individual elements in the BFO-based *** and Eu substitutions contribute to the lattice distortion in a pseudo-cubic structure,while La is biased toward *** force microscopy confirmed that reversible switching of ferroelectric domains by nearly 180°can be realized through the prepared *** ferroelectric hysteresis loops showed that the order for the polarization contribution is as follows:Cu>Co>Mn(B-site),Sm>La>Eu(A-site).The current density voltage curves indicated that the order for leakage contribution is as follows:Mny showed that the introduction of Cu elements facilitates the formation of dense grains,and the grain size distribution statistics proved that La element promotes the reduction of grain size,leading to the increase of grain boundaries and the reduction of ***,a Bi_(0.985)Sm_(0.045)La_(0.03)Fe_(0.96)Co_(0.02)Cu_(0.02)O_(3)(SmLa-CoCu)thin film with a qualitative leap in the remnant polarization from 25.5(Bi_(0.985)Sm_(0.075)FeO_(3))to 98.8µC/cm^(2)(SmLa-CoCu)was prepared through the syner-gistic action of Sm,La,Co,and Cu *** leakage current is also drastically reduced from 160 to 8.4 mA/cm^(2)at a field strength of 150 kV/***,based on the increasing entropy strategy of chemical engineering,this st

The Zengmu Basin located in the shallow water area of the southern South China Sea,is rich in oil and gas resources,within which faults and mud-diapir are developed,but it is unknown whether oil and gas migrate to the seafloor *** newly collected multibeam data across the Zengmu Basin reveal a large number of depressions,with depths of 2-4 m,widths of several tens of meters,large distribution range of 1.8-8 km along survey line,up to~50 km,and their backscatter intensity(-26 dB)is much greater than that of the surrounding area(-38 dB).Combined with the developed mud-diapir and fracture structures,and abundant oil and gas resources within this basin,these depressions are presumed to be ***,more than 110 mono-sized small circular pockmarks,with a depth of less than 1 m and a width of 5 m,are observed in an area of less than 0.03 km2,which are not obliterated by sediment infilling with high sedimentation rate,implying an existence of unit-pockmarks that are or recently were *** addition,seismic profiles across the Zengmu Basin show characterization of upward migration of hydrocarbons,expressed as mud-diapir structures,bright spots in the shallow formation with characteristics of“low frequency increase and high frequency attenuation”.The subbottom profiles show the mud-diapir structures,as well as the gas-bearing blank zones beneath the *** features suggest large gas leaking and occurrence of large amounts of carbonate nodules on the *** indicates the complex and variable substrate type in the Zengmu Basin,while the area was once thought to be mainly silty sand and find *** is the first report on the discovery of pockmarks in the Zengmu Basin;it will provide basic information for submarine stability and marine engineering in China’s maritime boundaries.

The spectroscopic properties of a series of Dy^(3+)single-doped and Dy^(3+)/Nd^(3+),Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+),and Dy^(3+)/Tm^(3+)co-doped yAlO_(3)(yttrium aluminum perovskite,yAP)phosphors were investigated and compared through the measurements of optical absorption,emission spectra,and fluorescence decay *** the Dy^(3+)ion single-doped samples,the intensity of each absorption band increases with an increment in Dy^(3+)ion doping concentration,and the identified strong absorption peak at 447 nm indicates that Dy^(3+):yAP phosphors are suitable to be pumped by a blue laser diode(LD).For all co-doped samples,absorption peaks of Dy^(3+)ion along with some of the absorption bands of Nd^(3+),Tb^(3+),and Tm^(3+)ions are *** 351 and 447 nm excitation,a prominent emission peak at 572 nm was obtained in all the samples,corresponding to Dy^(3+):^(4)F_(9/2)→^(6)H_(13/2)***,2 at%Dy^(3+):yAP phosphor exhibits the highest yellow emission intensity under 447 nm *** the three kinds of Dy^(3+)co-doped phosphors,Dy^(3+)/Tb^(3+):yAP phosphor possesses the dominant yellow *** fluorescence decay curves show exponential behaviour and are fitted *** Commission International de L’Eclairage(CIE)chromaticity coordinates were calculated following the respective emission spectra,and it is found that all the coordinates locate in the yellow *** energy transfer(ET)processes were investigated and the concentration quenching mechanism was *** obtained results suggest that Dy^(3+)-activated yAP phosphors are good candidates for yellow LED applications.

Estimating purple-soil moisture content using Vis-NIR spectroscopy

Soil moisture is essential for plant growth in terrestrial *** study investigated the visible-near infrared(Vis-NIR)spectra of three subgroups of purple soils(calcareous,neutral,and acidic)from western Chongqing,China,containing different water *** relationship between soil moisture and spectral reflectivity(R)was analyzed using four spectral transformations,and estimation models were established for estimating the soil moisture content(SMC)of purple soil based on stepwise multiple linear regression(SMLR)and partial least squares regression(PLSR).We found that soil spectra were similar for different moisture contents,with reflectivity decreasing with increasing moisture content and following the order neutral>calcareous>acidic purple soil(at constant moisture content).Three of the four spectral transformations can highlight spectral sensitivity to SMC and significantly improve the correlation between the reflectance spectra and *** and PLSRmethods provide similar prediction *** PLSR-based model using a first-order reflectivity differential(R?)is more effective for estimating the SMC,and gave coefficient of determination(v2),root mean square errors of validation(RMSEV),and ratio of performance to inter-quartile distance(RPIQ)values of 0.946,1.347,and 6.328,respectively,for the calcareous purple soil,and 0.944,1.818,and 6.569,respectively,for the acidic purple *** neutral purple soil,the best prediction was obtained using the SMLR method with R?transformation,yieldingv2,RMSEV and RPIQ values of 0.973,0.888 and 8.791,*** general,PLSR is more suitable than SMLR for estimating the SMC of purple soil.
