Hyperspectral remote sensing identification of marine oil spills and emulsions using feature bands and double-branch dual-attention mechanism network

The accurate identification of marine oil spills and their emulsions is of great significance for emergency response to oil spill *** selection of characteristic bands with strong separability helps to realize the rapid calculation of data on aircraft or in orbit,which will improve the timeliness of oil spill emergency *** the same time,the combination of spectral and spatial features can improve the accuracy of oil spill *** ground-based experiments were designed to collect measured airborne hyperspectral data of crude oil and its emulsions,for which the multiscale superpixel level group clustering framework(MSGCF)was used to select spectral feature bands with strong *** addition,the double-branch dual-attention(DBDA)model was applied to identify crude oil and its *** with the recognition results based on original hyperspectral images,using the feature bands determined by MSGCF improved the recognition accuracy,and greatly shortened the running ***,the characteristic bands for quantifying the volume concentration of water-in-oil emulsions were determined,and a quantitative inversion model was constructed and applied to the AVIRIS image of the deepwater horizon oil spill event in *** study verified the effectiveness of feature bands in identifying oil spill pollution types and quantifying concentration,laying foundation for rapid identification and quantification of marine oil spills and their emulsions on aircraft or in orbit.

Doubled haploid(DH)technology and synthetic apomixis approaches can considerably shorten breeding cycles and enhance breeding *** with traditional breeding methods,DH technology offers the advantage of rapidly generating inbred lines,while synthetic apomixis can effectively fix hybrid *** this review,we focus on(i)recent advances in identifying and characterizing genes responsible for haploid induction(Hl),(ii)the molecular mechanisms of Hl,(ili)spontaneous haploid genome doubling,and(iv)crop synthetic *** also discuss the challenges and potential solutions for future crop breeding programs utilizing DH technology and synthetic ***,we provide our perspectives about how to integrate DH and synthetic apomixis for precision breeding and de novo domestication.

Plant life form determines spatiotemporal variability and climate response of plant seed rain in subtropical forests

Spatiotemporal variation of seed rain reflects the response of plants in terms of their reproductive strategy to environmental *** this study,we collected seeds from four sites in the Dalaoling Nature Reserve,Hubei Province,China,between 2011 and 2014,measured seed output and seed mass as seed rain traits,and compared their interannual and elevational ***,we ran phylogenetic generalized mixed linear models(PGLMMs) to explore the effects of temperature and precipitation as well as interspecific differences on seed rain,and fitted the best regression models for seed rain *** of canopy and understory *** results showed no correlation between values of seed output and seed ***,the variation of the two traits showed significantly positive *** output of canopy species generally decreased with increasing elevation,and showed significant interannual difference;however,seed output of understory species and seed mass for both canopy and understory species did not show consistency tends along elevational or in interannual *** output was significantly affected by temperature and precipitation,while seed mass mainly varied due to interspecific *** explained more the variation of the seed output of canopy species than that of understory species,with R^(2) values of 43.0%and 29.9%,*** results suggested that canopy plants contributed more to the reproductive dynamics of the whole communities,and the canopy's buffer effect on the underground weakened the response of understory plants to weather variation in terms of their reproductive strategy.

Combined proteomic and metabolomic studies on the liver of Amur sturgeon Acipenser schrenckii under titanium dioxide nanoparticle exposure

Nanomaterials,particularly titanium dioxide nanoparticles(TiO_(2)-NPs),are extensively utilized across various ***,their environmental release has raised concerns regarding their potential ecological and environmental *** reproductive toxicity of TiO_(2)-NPs in fish species has attracted considerable attention,yet conflicting research outcomes have been *** investigated the effects of TiO_(2)-NPs exposure on the liver of juvenile Amur sturgeon Acipenser schrenckii using label-free proteomic and untargeted metabolomic *** experiment included a control group and three groups exposed to different concentrations of TiO_(2)-NPs(low,TL;medium,TM;high,TH).Compared to the control group,9,19,and 25 proteins and 35,73,and 158 metabolites were differentially expressed in the TH,TM,and TL TiO_(2)-NP-exposed groups,*** differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were enriched in the Kyoto Encyclopedia for Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathways related to glycolysis and ***,among the 126 correlated proteins,the most enriched pathways were associated with endocytosis and protein processing in the endoplasmic ***,syringic acid was significantly downregulated across all three TiO_(2)-NP-exposed *** obtain a comprehensive overview of the TiO_(2)-NP-induced expression changes,a co-regulated network of proteins and metabolites associated with TiO_(2)-NPs exposure was *** to TiO_(2)-NPs led to enrichment and alteration of pathways related to immune responses,including endocytosis,protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum,and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR)*** conclusion,our findings indicate that exposure to TiO_(2)-NPs might disrupt glucose metabolism and induce immune responses,thus contributing to our understanding of the environmental impacts of nanomaterials and highlighting the need for further research and development of potential mitigation strategies.

Predicting Acute Mountain Sickness Using Regional Sea-Level Cerebral Blood Flow

Objective To investigate the role of sea-level cerebral blood flow(CBF)in predicting acute mountain sickness(AMS)using three-dimensional pseudo-continuous arterial spin labeling(3D-pCASL).Methods Forty-eight healthy volunteers reached an altitude of 3,650 m by air after undergoing a head magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)including 3D-pCASL at sea *** CBF values of the bilateral anterior cerebral artery(ACA),middle cerebral artery(MCA),posterior cerebral artery(PCA),and posterior inferior cerebellar artery(PICA)territories and the laterality index(LI)of CBF were compared between the AMS and non-AMS *** analyses were performed to determine the relationship between CBF and AMS,and the predictive performance was assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC)*** The mean cortical CBF in women(81.65±2.69 mL/100 g/min)was higher than that in men(74.35±2.12 mL/100 g/min)(Py the CBF of the posterior circulatory system,may be used for prediction in male volunteers using non-invasive 3D-pCASL.

Gas film/regenerative composite cooling characteristics of the liquid oxygen/liquid methane (LOX/LCH4) rocket engine

The thermal protection of rocket engines is a crucial aspect of rocket engine *** this paper,the gas film/regenerative composite cooling of the liquid oxygen/liquid methane(LOX/LCH4)rocket engine thrust chamber was investigated.A gas film/regenerative composite cooling model was developed based on the Grisson gas film cooling efficiency formula and the one-dimensional regenerative cooling *** accuracy of the model was validated through experiments conducted on a 6 kg/s level gas film/regenerative composite cooling thrust ***,key parameters related to heat transfer performance were *** results demonstrate that the model is sufficiently accurate to be used as a preliminary design *** temperature rise error of the coolant,when compared with the experimental results,was found to be less than 10%.Although the pressure drop error is relatively large,the calculated results still provide valuable guidance for heat transfer *** addition,the performance of composite cooling is observed to be superior to regenerative *** the gas film flow rate results in higher cooling efficiency and a lower gas-side wall ***,the position at which the gas film is introduced greatly impacts the cooling *** optimal introduction position for the gas film is determined when the film is introduced from a single row of *** optimal introduction position results in a more uniform wall temperature distribution and reduces the peak ***,it is observed that a double row of holes,when compared to a single row of holes,enhances the cooling effect in the superposition area of the gas film and further lowers the gas-side wall *** results provide a basis for the design of gas film/regenerative composite cooling systems.

This study was carried out explore the mechanism underlying the inhibition of platelet activation by kelp fucoidans in deep venous thrombosis(DVT)*** the control and sham mice,the walls of deep vein were regular and smooth with intact intima,myometrium and *** blood vessel was wrapped with the tissue and there was no thrombosis in the *** the DVT model,the wall was uneven with thicken intima,myometrium and *** treated with fucoidans LF1 and LF2,the thrombus was dissolved and the blood vessel was *** with the control group,the ROS content,ET-1 and VWF content and the expression of PKC-βand NF-κB in the model were significantly higher(Py reduced following treatments with LF2 and *** with H_(2)O_(2)treated-HUVECs,combined LF1 and LF2 treatment resulted in significant decrease in the expression of PKC-β,NF-κB,VWF and TM protein(Py and the activation of coagulation system and ultimately reducing the formation of venous thrombus.

On the Intelligent Optimization of the Crevice Structure in a Rapid Compression Machine

In this study,the multi-objective intelligent optimization of the crevice structure in a rapid compression machine(RCM)is carried out based on the RCM simulation model modified with the KIVA-3V program.A multi-objective optimization simulation model of the crevice structure based on the large eddy simulation model coupled with the genetic algorithm NSGA-Ⅲis *** optimization parameters and seven optimization objectives are selected in the optimization *** results show that the genetic algorithm can quickly find the values of the optimized *** crevice volume ratio shows a trade-off relationship with the dimensionless temperature ratio T_(max)/T_(aver)and the tumble ratio.A larger crevice volume can reduce the flow of boundary layer cryogenic gas into the combustion chamber,thus improving the temperature *** addition,the crevice entrance width and the connecting channel length should be smaller,while the volume of the crevice main chamber should be larger,so as to sufficiently introduce the low-temperature gas of the boundary layer into the crevice and reduce their influence on the temperature field of the combustion *** the crevice volume accounts for10%of the total volume,the temperature uniformity of the combustor is significantly enhanced,and when the crevice volume accounts for 30.4%,there is almost no low-temperature vortex in the combustion chamber.

Understanding the influencing mechanism of turbulent fluctuation on the ignition characteristics of millimeter coal particles is *** this work,to study the effect of turbulent fluctuation on ignition time,millimeter coal particles are subjected to a specific flow field,generated in a furnace with symmetric fans.A one-dimensional model with the new proposed correlation and the Ranz-Marshall(R-M)correlation for Nu(Nusselt number)is established to simulate the coal ignition *** addition,the effects of fan speed,temperature,particle diameter,particle distance and coal type on the ignition time are *** is found that an increase in fan speed from 0 to 3000 rpm leads to a particle Reynolds number Re_(p)increase from 0 to 22.5,and a turbulent particle Reynolds number Re_(t)*increase from 0 to *** a consideration of the fluctuation effect,the new correlation of Nu gives a better prediction of ignition time compared to the R-M ***,the ignition time is revealed to decrease with an increasing fan speed and an elevating *** the ignition time shows merely an initial boost with enlarging particle distance,it exhibits a linearity with the term of particle diameter dp1.3-1.7 and Reynolds numbers(Nu*/Nu)-0.6(Nu*is turbulent Nusselt number).Based on this relationship,the difference of predicted ignition time is calculated at different Re_(p)and Re_(t)*.It is shown that at low Re_(p)or high Re_(t)*values,the new correlation should substitute for the R-M correlation.
