In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqNSCLC and sqNSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteractiony,sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

A method of determining flame radiation fraction induced by interaction burning of tri-symmetric propane fires in open space based on weighted multi-point source model

Accelerating DAG-Style Job Execution via Optimizing Resource Pipeline Scheduling

The volume of information that needs to be processed in big data clusters increases rapidly nowadays. It is critical to execute the data analysis in a time-efficient manner. However, simply adding more computation resources may not speed up the data analysis significantly. The data analysis jobs usually consist of multiple stages which are organized as a directed acyclic graph (DAG). The precedence relationships between stages cause scheduling challenges. General DAG scheduling is a well-known NP-hard problem. Moreover, we observe that in some parallel computing frameworks such as Spark, the execution of a stage in DAG contains multiple phases that use different resources. We notice that carefully arranging the execution of those resources in pipeline can reduce their idle time and improve the average resource utilization. Therefore, we propose a resource pipeline scheme with the objective of minimizing the job makespan. For perfectly parallel stages, we propose a contention-free scheduler with detailed theoretical analysis. Moreover, we extend the contention-free scheduler for three-phase stages, considering the computation phase of some stages can be partitioned. Additionally, we are aware that job stages in real-world applications are usually not perfectly parallel. We need to frequently adjust the parallelism levels during the DAG execution. Considering reinforcement learning (RL) techniques can adjust the scheduling policy on the fly, we investigate a scheduler based on RL for online arrival jobs. The RL-based scheduler can adjust the resource contention adaptively. We evaluate both contention-free and RL-based schedulers on a Spark cluster. In the evaluation, a real-world cluster trace dataset is used to simulate different DAG styles. Evaluation results show that our pipelined scheme can significantly improve CPU and network utilization.

Longitudinal Magnetoresistance and ＂Chirar＇ Coupling in Silver Chalcogenides

A complex longitudinal magnetoresistance （MR//） effect in the non-stoichiometric silver chaJcogenides （include the silver selenide and telluride） has been found, however the mechanism for the MR// effect is not clear now. In this work, a new random resistor network for MR// effect is proposed based on the experimental observation. The network is constructed from six-terminal resistor units and the mobility of carries within the network has a Gaussian distribution. Considering the non-zero transverse-longitudinal coupling in materials, the resistance matrix of the six- terminal resistor unit is modified. It is found that the material has the ＂chiral＂ transverse-longitudinal couplings, which is suggested a main reason for the complex MR//effect. The model predictions are compared with the experimental results. A three dimension （3D） visualization of current flow within the network demonstrates the ＂current jets＂ phenomenon in the thickness of materials dearly.

Ultrasonic-assisted synthesis of plasmonic Z-scheme Ag/AgCl/WO_3-nanoflakes photocatalyst in geothermal water with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic performance

In this study, the Ag/Ag Cl/WO3 plasmonic Z-scheme photocatalysts with different contents of Ag/Ag Cl nanoparticles（NPs） were prepared through a facile ultrasonic precipitation method in geothermal water,wherein the geothermal water served as the chlorine source. Then the photocatalytic activity was investigated by degradation of 4-Aminobenzoic acid（4-ABA） under visible-light irradiation. It was found that the as-prepared 50 wt% Ag/Ag Cl/WO3 photocatalyst showed the highest photocatalytic efficiency with 25.12 and 3.53 times higher than those of pure WO3 and Ag/Ag Cl, respectively. The active species trapping experiments indicated that h＋and ·O2-were key factors in 4-ABA photodegradation process. The possible plasmonic Z-scheme photocatalytic mechanism of photocatalytic reaction for 4-ABA degradation was proposed based on systematical characterizations. We hope this paper could give new ideas for further exploiting geothermal energy to design and fabricate highly efficient visible-light-driven photocatalysts for environmental remediation.

Preparation of gangue ceramsite by sintering pot test and potential analysis of waste heat recovery from flue gas

Preparation of ceramsite from solid waste based on the sintering process is a new technology and had a high efficiency in improving producing capability, decreasing consumption of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and recovering waste heat of flue gas. An experiment sintering gangue ceramsite was conducted in a 25 kg scale sintering pot with a 100 cm height. The combustion characteristics, phase transformation, and the release profile of SO_(2)^(*) (SO and/or SO_(2)) and NO_(x)^(*) (N_(2)O, NO, and/or NO_(2)) of gangue ceramsite during the sintering process were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis, X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, thermogravimetry–differential thermogravimetry–differential scanning calorimetry, and measurement of physical properties of ceramsite and gas components of flue gas. The results showed that the gangue ceramsite had excellent properties, and its compressive strength and water absorption were 8.2–9.6 MPa and 8.9%–9.8%, respectively, far exceeding the requirement of standard (GB/T 17431.1–2010). The ignition temperature of gangue ceramsite was 443 ℃, and the ignition loss was 14.60 mass% at 1000 ℃. Kaolinite and calcite disappeared at 600 and 800 ℃, respectively. Albite disappeared and mullite formed at 1000 ℃. Two peaks of SO_(2)^(*) emissions emerged in the range of 311–346 mg m^(-3) near 500 ℃ of upper layer ceramsite and 420–489 mg m^(-3) near 1000 ℃ of lower layer ceramsite, respectively. NO_(x)^(*) emissions peak emerged in the range of 227–258 mg m^(-3) near 550 ℃ of the upper layer ceramsite, which was related to the oxidation of sulfide and the combustion of LPG. Gangue is a direct heat source for sintering of ceramsite as well. During sintering process, the heat of flue gas above and below 400 ℃ accounts for 55.9% and 30.0% of the all-output heat, respectively, and was potentially used for producing waste-heat steam or electricity as by-products and drying raw materials during its own initial sintering process, which can realize comb

Experimental investigation on evolution of a split multi-wavelength bright-dark pulse in a mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser

We report the experimental observation of evolving phenomenon of a split multi-wavelength bright-dark pulse in the nonlinear amplifying loop mirror(NALM)-based mode-locked thulium-doped fiber laser(TDFL) with a figure-eight configuration. Bright-dark pulse with 10 wavelengths was successfully obtained at the pump power of 3 W. The time interval between the bright and dark pulses was discovered not only increasing linearly with the pump power but also approximately equaling to the reciprocal of modulation frequency of radio frequency(RF) spectrum. Moreover, we also observed that the spectrum of split multi-wavelength bright-dark pulse can further present up to 13 wavelengths.
