The recent stochastic signal observed jointly by NANOGrav,parkes pulsar timing array,European pulsar timing array,and Chinese pulsar timing array can be accounted for by scalarinduced gravitational w.ves(SIGw.).The source of the SIGw. is from the primordial curvature perturbations,and the main contribution to the SIGw. is from the peak of the primordial curvature pow.r *** effectively model this peak,w. apply the Taylor expansion to parameterize *** the Taylor expansion parameterization,w. apply Bayesian methods to constrain the primordial curvature pow.r spectrum based on the NANOGrav 15 year data *** constraint on the primordial curvature pow.r spectrum possesses a degree of generality,as the Taylor expansion can effectively approximate a w.de range of function profiles.

Polyelectrolyte brushes(PEBs)are commonly used to modify surface that have attracted great research *** dielectric permittivity of the grafted surface is typically significantly different from that of solution,w.ich results in surface polarization(SP)effect w.th a jump of electric *** is thus important to study how.SP alters the PEB’s structure and *** this w.rk,the SP effects on PEB structure w.s studied using a statistical thermodynamic *** free energy functional to describe SP effect w.s constructed by using the image-charge ***,the electrostatic potential w.s solved from a modified Poisson-Boltzmann equation taking the ion solvation effect into *** the absence of SP,the thickness of PEB exhibited a continuous collapse transition w.en decreasing the solvent *** the presence of SP,the collapse became a jump-like *** energy analysis show.d that the long-range Coulombic interaction dominated the transition because of the enhanced counterion condensation in the presence of *** theory provides an effective tool to study SP effect on PEBs,and the results explain the underlying physics in PEB collapse transition.

During the past decade,research efforts have been gradually directed to the w.dely existing yet less noticed multimodal multi-objective optimization problems(MMOPs)in the multi-objective optimization ***,researchers have begun to investigate enhancing the decision space diversity and preserving valuable dominated solutions to overcome the shortage caused by a preference for objective space ***,many existing methods still have limitations,such as giving unduly high priorities to convergence and insufficient ability to enhance decision space *** overcome these shortcomings,this article aims to explore a promising region(PR)and enhance the decision space diversity for handling *** traditional methods,w. propose the use of non-dominated solutions to determine a limited region in the PR in the decision space,w.ere the Pareto sets(PSs)are included,and explore this region to assist in solving ***,w. develop a novel neighbor distance measure that is more suitable for the complex geometry of PSs in the decision space than the crow.ing *** on the above methods,w. propose a novel dual-population-based coevolutionary *** studies on three benchmark test suites demonstrates that our proposed methods can achieve promising performance and versatility on different *** effectiveness of the proposed neighbor distance has also been justified through comparisons w.th crow.ing distance methods.

Short-term(up to 30 days)predictions of Earth Rotation Parameters(ERPs)such as Polar Motion(PM:PMX and PMy)play an essential role in real-time applications related to high-precision reference frame ***,least squares(LS)+auto-regressive(AR)hybrid method is one of the main techniques of PM ***,the w.ighted LS+AR hybrid method performs w.ll for PM short-term ***,the corresponding covariance information of LS fitting residuals deserves further exploration in the AR *** this study,w. have derived a modified stochastic model for the LS+AR hybrid method,namely the w.ighted LS+w.ighted AR hybrid *** using the PM data products of IERS EOP 14 C04,the numerical results indicate that for PM short-term forecasting,the proposed w.ighted LS+w.ighted AR hybrid method show. an advantage over both the LS+AR hybrid method and the w.ighted LS+AR hybrid *** to the mean absolute errors(MAEs)of PMX/PMy sho rt-term prediction of the LS+AR hybrid method and the w.ighted LS+AR hybrid method,the w.ighted LS+w.ighted AR hybrid method show. average improvements of 6.61%/12.08%and 0.24%/11.65%,***,for the slopes of the linear regression lines fitted to the errors of each method,the grow.h of the prediction error of the proposed method is slow.r than that of the other tw. methods.

To explain the recent three-year La Niña event from 2020 to 2022,w.ich has caused catastrophic w.ather events w.rldw.de,Fasullo et al.(2023)demonstrated that the increase in biomass aerosol resulting from the 2019-20 Australian w.ldfire season could have triggered this multi-year La Niñ***,w. present compelling evidence from paleo-proxies,utilizing a substantial sample size of 26 volcanic eruptions in the Southern Hemisphere(SH),to support the hypothesis that ocean cooling in the SH can lead to a multi-year La Niña *** research highlights the importance of focusing on the Southern Ocean,as current climate models struggle to accurately simulate the Pacific response driven by the Southern Ocean.

Accurate ultra-short-term prediction of the Earth rotation parameters(ERP)holds paramount impor-tance for real-time applications,particularly in reference frame *** them,diurnal rota-tion(UT1-UTC)w.ich cannot be directly estimated through Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)techniques,significantly affects the rapid and ultra-rapid orbit determination of GNsS ***-ently,the traditional LS(least squares)+AR(autoregressive)and LS+MAR(multivariate autoregressive)hybrid methods stand as primary approaches for UT1-UTC ultra-short-term predictions(1-10 days).The LS+MAR hybrid method relies on the UT1-UTC and LOD(length of day)***,the correlation betw.en LOD and first-order-difference UT1-UTC is stronger than that betw.en LOD and *** light of this,and w.th the aid of the first-order-difference UT1-UTC,w. propose an enhanced LS+MAR hybrid method to UT1-UTC ultra-short-term *** using the UT1-UTC and LOD data series of the IERS(International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service)EOP 14 C04 product,w. conducted a thorough analysis and evaluation of the improved method's prediction performance compared to the traditional LS+AR and LS+MAR hybrid *** to the numerical results over more than 210 days,they demonstrate that,w.en considering the correlation information betw.en the LoD and the first-order-difference UT1-UTC,the mean absolute errors(MAEs)of the improved LS+MAR hybrid method range from 21 to 934μs in 1-10 days *** comparison to the traditional LS+AR hybrid method,the MAEs show.a reduction of 7-53μs in 1-10 days predictions,w.th corresponding improvement percentages ranging from 1 to 28%.Similarly,w.en compared to the traditional LS+MAR hybrid method,the MAEs have a reduction of 5-42μs in 1-10 days predictions,w.th corresponding improvement percentages ranging from 4-20%.Additionally,w.en aided by GNSS-derived LOD data series,the MAEs of improved LS+MAR hybrid method experience further
