Trap-assisted charge recombination is one of the primary limitationsof restricting the performance of organic solar cells. However, effectivelyreducing the presence of traps in the photoactive layer remains ***, wide bandgap polymer donor PTzBI-dF is demonstrated as an effectivemodulator for enhancing the crystallinity of the bulk heterojunction active layerscomposed of D18 derivatives blended with y6, leading to dense and orderedmolecular packings, and thus, improves photoluminescence quenching *** a result, the photovoltaic devices exhibit reduced trap-assisted charge recombinationlosses, achieving an optimized power conversion efficiency of over 19%.Besides the efficiency enhancement, the devices comprised of PTzBI-dF as athird component simultaneously attain decreased current leakage, improved chargecarrier mobilities, and suppressed bimolecular charge recombination, leading toreduced energy losses. The advanced crystalline structures induced by PTzBI-dFand its characteristics, such as well-aligned energy level, and complementaryabsorption spectra, are ascribed to the promising performance *** findings suggest that donor phase engineering is a feasible approach to tuning the molecular packings in the active layer, providingguidelines for designing effective morphology modulators for high-performance organic solar cells.

Regulation the electronic density of solid-state electrolyte by donor–acceptor(D–A)system can achieve highly-selective Li^(+)transportation and conduction in solid-state Li metal *** study reports a high-performance solid-state electrolyte thorough D–A-linked covalent organic frameworks(COFs)based on intramolecular charge transfer *** other reported COFbased solid-state electrolyte,the developed concept with D–A-linked COFs not only achieves electronic modulation to promote highly-selective Li^(+)migration and inhibit Li dendrite,but also offers a crucial opportunity to understand the role of electronic density in solid-state Li metal *** introduced strong electronegativity F-based ligand in COF electrolyte results in highlyselective Li^(+)(transference number 0.83),high ionic conductivity(6.7×10^(-4)S cm^(−1)),excellent cyclic ability(1000 h)in Li metal symmetric cell and high-capacity retention in Li/LiFePO_(4)cell(90.8%for 300 cycles at 5C)than substituted C-and N-based *** is ascribed to outstanding D–A interaction between donor porphyrin and acceptor F atoms,which effectively expedites electron transferring from porphyrin to F-based ligand and enhances Li^(+)***,we anticipate that this work creates insight into the strategy for accelerating Li^(+)conduction in high-performance solid-state Li metal batteries through D–A system.

Slurry-infiltrated fiber concrete(SIFCON)is a sort of strain hardening cement-based composite material,typically made with 5%–20%steel *** study focused on a novel type of SIFCON in which hooked-end steel fibers were replaced by arc-shaped steel *** quasi-static compressive properties of the SIFCON were first *** results suggested that using arc-shaped steel fibers in lieu of hooked-end steel fibers increased the quasi-static compressive strength by 47.1%and the strain at peak stress by 56.3%.We attribute these improvements to new crack-resisting mechanisms,namely“fiber crosslock”,“dual bridging”,and“confinement loops”,when the arc-shaped steel fibers are introduced into *** high impact resistance is a special property of SIFCON that is of practical significance,the dynamic compressive properties of arc-shaped steel fiber SIFCON were studied by using an 80-mm-diameter split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB).The results showed that the dynamic compressive strength,dynamic increase factor(DIF),and dynamic toughness of SIFCON all increased with the strain *** SIFCON incorporating arc-shaped steel fibers proved to have significant advantages in structural applications requiring high impact resistance.

Defect engineering represents one degree of freedom to tune the physical and chemical properties of two-dimensional (2D)***,we demonstrate that the thermal and electronic properties of 2D Bi2O2Se can be optimized simultaneously by introducing oxygen defects.2D Bi2O2Se and its oxygendeficient counterpart (Bi2Ox Se,xy synthesized by the chemical vapor deposition(CVD)*** introducing oxygen defects,the thermal conductivity of 2D Bi2O2Se is reduced by nearly three times,achieving an extremely low thermal conductivity of 0.68±0.06 W/mK at room temperature via the thermal bridge *** low thermal conductivity is enabled by the scattering of phonons by targeting of high-,mid-,and low-frequency phonons due to oxygen defects,strong anharmonicity,and nanostructure boundaries,***,the mobility is also improved to 260–500 cm2·V-1·s-1and the usual polar optical phonon scattering in 2D Bi2O2Se is weakened owing to the introduction of oxygen *** results promise potential applications for thermoelectric design,nanoelectronics,and thermal barrier coating devices based on emerging 2D materials.

The evolution of single elliptic vortex rings for initial aspect ratio (AR) = 2,4,6 has been studied. The incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved by a dealiased pseudo-spectral method with 64(3) grid points in a periodic cube. We find that there are three kinds of vortex motion as AR increases and bifurcation occurs at certain AR. The processes of advection, interaction and decay of vortex ring are discussed. Numerical results coincide with experiments and other authors' numerical simulation.

It was understood that Chern insulators cannot be realized in the presence of PT *** this paper,we reveal a new class of PT-symmetric Chern insulators,which has internal degrees of freedom forming real representations of a symmetry group with a complex endomorphism *** a generalization to the conventional 2n-dimensional Chern insulators with integer n≥1,these PT-symmetric Chern insulators have the n-th complex Chern number as their topological invariant,and have a Z classification given by the equivariant orthogonal K ***,in a fairly different sense,there exist ubiquitously Chern insulators with *** generalizing the Thouless charge pump argument,we find that,for a PT-symmetric Chern insulator with Chern number *** are equally many v flavors of coexisting left-and right-handed chiral *** modes with opposite chirality are complex conjugates to each other as complex representations of the internal symmetry group,but are not *** the physical dimensionality d=2,the PT-symmetric Chern insulators may be realized in artificial systems including photonic crystals and periodic mechanical systems.

The evolutionarily conserved RNA Polymerase Ⅱ Rpb4/7 sub-complex has been thoroughly studied in yeast and impacts gene expression at multiple levels including transcription,mRNA processing and *** addition Rpb4/7 exerts differential effects on gene expression in yeast and Rpb4 is not obligatory for yeast(***)*** roles for human(hs)Rpb4/7 have not been extensively described and we have probed this question by depleting hsRpb4/7 in established human cell lines using RNA *** find that Rpb4/7 protein levels are inter-dependent and accordingly,the functional effects of depleting either protein are ***4/7 exhibits gene-specific effects and cells initially remain viable upon hsRpb4/7 *** prolonged hsRpb4/7 depletion is cytotoxic in the range of cell lines *** cell death occurs by an unknown mechanism and in some cases is accompanied by a pronounced elongated cell *** conclusion we provide evidence for a gene-specific role of hsRpb4/7 in human cell viability.

Hazardous wastes pose increasing threats to people and environment during the processes of offsite collection,storage,treatment,and disposal.A novel game theoretic model,including two levels,is developed for the corresponding optimization of emergency logistics,where the upper level indicates the location and capacity problem for the regulator,and the lower level reflects the allocation problem for the emergency *** from other works in the literature,we focus on the issue of multi-quality coverages (full and partial coverages) in the optimization of facility location and *** be specific,the regulator decides the location plan and the corresponding capacity of storing emergency groups for multiple types of hazmats,so to minimizes the total potential environmental risk posed by incident sites;while the commander minimizes the total costs to provide an efficient allocation *** solve the bi-level programming model,two solution techniques,namely a KKT condition approach and a heuristic model,are designed and *** proposed model and solution techniques are then applied to a hypothetical case and a real-world case to demonstrate the practicality and provide managerial insights.
