The effect of temperature on the electrical conductivity （σ） and Seebeck coefficient （S） of n-ty.e vapor grown carbon nanofibers （cNFs）and poly（vinylidene fluoride）(pVDF) melt-mixed with 15 wt%of those cNFs is *** 40°c,the cNFs show stable n-ty.e character (S=-4.8μV·K-1) with anσof ca.165 S·m-1,while the pVDF/cNF composite film shows anσof ca.9 S·m-1and near-zero S (S=-0.5μV·K-1).This experimental reduction in S is studied by the density functional tight binding （DFTB） method revealing a contact electron transfer from the cNFs to the pVDF in the ***,in the temperature range from 40°c to 100°c,theσ（T） of the cNFs and pVDF/cNF film,successfully described by the 3D variable range hopping （VRH） model,is explained as consequence of a thermally activated backscattering *** the contrary,the S（T）from 40°c to 100°c of the pVDF/cNF film,which satisfactorily matches the model proposed for some multi-walled carbon nanotube （MWcNT）doped mats;however,it does not follow the increase in S（T） found for *** these findings are presented with the aim of discerning the role of these n-ty.e vapor grown carbon nanofibers on theσand S of their melt-mixed poly.er composites.

The levered-dual response(LeDAR)coulomb-damped system attains near resonant vibration isolation by differential preloads/offsets in linear *** takes the advantages of both the preloads/offsets in linear springs and the guiderail friction for realizing different levels of vibration *** isolation c.p.cities are investigated on the strategies with both the horizontal and vertical guiderails,with the horizontal rail only,and without *** compressive preloads generally result in the consumption of most of the initial excitation energy so as to overcome the potential *** isolation onsets at the frequency ratio of 1∓0.095 on the left-hand side(LHS)and the right-hand side(RHS)of the lever are relative to the load plate *** observed near resonant isolation thus makes the LeDAR system a candidate for the isolation of the mechanical systems about resonance while opening a path for simultaneous harvesterisolation functions and passive functions at extreme frequencies.

Bioactive thermal spray coatings produced via high-velocity oxy.en fuel spray(HVOF)from hydroxyapatite(HAp)and bioactive glasses(BG)have the potential to be employed on temporary implants due to the ability of both HAp and BG to dissolve and promote osseointegration,considering that both phases have different reaction and dissolution rates under in-vitro *** the present work,75%***-25%wt.S53p4 bioactive glass powders were HVOF-sprayed to obtain HAp/S53p4 BG composite coatings on a bioresorbable AZ31 *** study is focused on exploring the effect of the stand-off distance and fuel/oxy.en ratio variation as HVOF parameters to obtain stable structural coatings and to establish their effect on the phases and microstructure produced in those *** characterization techniques,such as scanning electron microsc.p.,X-ray diffraction,and Fourier transform infrared spectrosc.p.,were employed to characterize relevant structural and microstructural properties of the composite *** results showed that thermal gradients during coating deposition must be managed to avoid delamination due to the high temperature achieved(max 550℃)and the differences in coefficients of thermal *** was also found that both spraying distance and oxy.en/fuel ratio allowed to keep the hydroxyapatite as the main phase in the *** addition,in-vitro electrochemical studies were performed on the obtained HAp/S53p4 BG composite coatings and compared against the uncoated AZ31 *** results showed a significant decrease in hydrogen evolution(at least 98%)when the bioactive coating was applied on the Mg alloy during evaluation in simulated body fluid(SBF).

Background: congenital Mesoblastic Nephroma (cMN) is a mesenchymal renal tumour of early life. With a median diagnosis of two months and over 90% of cases occurring within the first year of life, it is the most prevalent non-Wilms’ renal tumour. even though imaging can be used as a diagnosing tool, it is frequently identified in the neonatal period when the baby has an abdominal mass. There are three different histologic ty.es: mixed, cellular, and classic. Radical nephrectomy is the usual mode of treatment, though adjuvant chemotherapy may be necessary for the cellular ty.e, which may be aggressive. case presentation: We report on a case of a 2-day-old term male neonate born to a 27-year-old mother through spontaneous vertex delivery (SVD). He presented with a right-sided abdominal mass from birth. An abdominal ultrasound scan revealed a huge, well-circumscribed heterogeneous soft tissue mass in the right hemi-abdomen extending to the left side, measuring 10.2 cm by 8.0 cm. He underwent a right radical nephrectomy with a tumour weight of 450 g and a size of 18 cm × 15 cm × 6 cm. Histopathological diagnosis was congenital Mesoblastic Nephroma (cellular ty.e) Stage 1. conclusion: Any infant with a renal tumour should be evaluated for congenital mesoblastic nephroma. Detailed investigation and complete resection are fundamental for ensuring an excellent outcome.
