Purpose Observation of high energy and very high emission from Gamma Ray Bursts(GRBs)is crucial to study the gigantic explosion and the underline *** a large field-of-view and almost full duty cycle,the Water Cherenkov detector Array(WCdA),a sub-array of the Large High Altitude Air Shower Observatory(LHAASO),is appropriate to monitor the very high energy emission from unpredictable transients such as *** Nevertheless,the main issue for an extensive air shower array is the high energy threshold which limits the horizon of the *** address this issue a new trigger method is developed in this article to lower the energy threshold of WCdA for GRB *** The proposed method significantly improves the detection efficiency of WCdA for gamma-rays around the GRB direction at 10-300 *** sensitivity of the WCdA for GRB detection with the new trigger method is *** achieved sensitivity of the quarter WCdA array above 10 GeV is comparable with that of *** data analysis process and corresponding fluence upper limit for GRB 190719C is presented as an example.

Synergistic effect of bonding heterogeneity and phonon localization in introducing excellent thermoelectric properties in layered heteroanionic NdZnSbO material

Layered rare-earth metal oxides, harnessing the dual properties of oxides and two-dimensional layered materials, exhibit remarkable thermal stability and quantum confinement effects. Therefore, this work adopts the first-principles calculation combined with the Boltzmann transport theory to predict the thermoelectric properties of NdZnSbO compound. The coexistence of weak interlayer van der Waals interactions, robust intralayer ionic bonding, and partial covalent bonding leads to remarkable bonding heterogeneity, which engenders pronounced phonon scattering and imposes constraints on thermal transport along the out-of-plane direction. The weakened chemical bonds induced by the antibonding states, together with the rattling-like behavior of the Zn atom, culminate in the profound anharmonicity in the layered NdZnSbO compound. The weakening bond and heavy element contribute to the softness of phonon modes, which significantly diminishes the phonon group velocity. The redistribution-dominated four-phonon scattering process spans a large optical gap, which effectively reduces the lattice thermal conductivity. The NdZnSbO compound exhibits direct semiconductor characteristic with a bandgap of 0.73 e V by adopting the Heyd-Scuseria-Ernzerhof(HSE06) functional in combination with spin–orbit coupling(SOC) effect. The multi-valley feature of NdZnSbO compound augur favorably for band degeneracy, thus amplifying the power factor. Consequently, an optimal figure-of-merit(ZT) of 3.40 at 900 K is achieved for the n-type NdZnSbO compound. The present study delves deeply insights into the origins for the low thermal conductivity of NdZnSbO compound and proposes an optimization scheme to enhance overall thermoelectric performance.

Quantum public-key crypto via EPR pairs

With the development of quantum computing technology, quantum public-key cryptography is gradually becoming an alternative to the existing classical public-key cryptography. This paper designs a quantum trapdoor one-way function via EPR pairs and quantum measurements. Based on this, a new quantum public-key cryptosystem is presented, which offers forward security,and can resist the chosen-plaintext attack and chosen-ciphertext attack. Compared with the existing quantum public-key cryptos,eavesdropping can be automatically detected in this new quantum public-key cryptosystem under a necessary condition, which is also detailed in the paper.

Cholesterol metabolism: physiological versus pathological aspects in intracerebral hemorrhage

direct and rapid detection of serum amino acid and monoamine neurotransmitters to assist the diagnosis of panic disorder

The measurement of amino acid and monoamine neurotransmitters（NTs） in serum plays a central role in the identification and monitoring of clinical panic disorder（Pd）. However, the strong polarity and chemical heterogeneity of NTs make direct extraction and rapid detection extremely challenging. Herein, we developed a strategy that integrated solid phase extraction based on magnetic Fe3O4coated with polydopamine（Fe3O4@PdA） and direct analysis of mass spectrometry in real time（dART-MS） for quantification of 10 NTs. We systematically investigated the optimal conditions of this strategy to achieve good accuracy and precision. Compared with existing magnetic solid phase extraction methods for NTs detection in biological samples, this strategy could adsorb more targets while having similar adsorption efficiencies, and the total process time was reduced by an average of 69.42%. We rapidly determined the metabolic abnormality of 6 types of NTs in the serum of Pd patients and demonstrated their diagnostic accuracy. In addition, an outstanding feature of Pd in which tryptophan was more metabolized by the KyN pathway and the 5-hydroxytryptamine pathway was inhibited could be elucidated by this strategy. Our results highlighted the potential ability of Fe3O4@PdA coupled with dART-MS to assist in the clinical diagnosis of Pd.

The ketogenic diet(Kd) has attracted attention in recent years for its potential anticancer effects. Kd is a dietary structure of high fat,moderate protein, and extremely low carbohydrate content. Originally introduced as a treatment for epilepsy, Kd has been widely applied in weight loss programs and the management of metabolic diseases. Previous studies have shown that Kd can potentially inhibit the growth and spread of cancer by limiting energy supply to tumor cells, thereby inhibiting tumor angiogenesis, reducing oxidative stress in normal cells, and affecting cancer cell signaling and other processes. Moreover, Kd has been shown to influence T-cell-mediated immune responses and inflammation by modulating the gut microbiota, enhance the efficacy of standard cancer treatments, and mitigate the complications of chemotherapy. However, controversies and uncertainties remain regarding the specific mechanisms and clinical effects of Kd as an adjunctive therapy for cancer. Therefore, this review summarizes the existing research and explores the intricate relationships between Kd and cancer treatment.

Mutual regulation of microglia and astrocytes after Gas6 inhibits spinal cord injury

Invasive inflammation and excessive scar formation are the main reasons for the difficulty in repairing nervous tissue after spinal cord *** and astrocytes play key roles in the spinal cord injury micro-environment and share a close ***,the mechanisms involved remain *** this study,we found that after spinal cord injury,resting microglia(M0)were polarized into pro-inflammatory phenotypes(MG1 and MG3),while resting astrocytes were polarized into reactive and scar-forming *** expression of growth arrest-specific 6(Gas6)and its receptor Axl were significantly down-regulated in microglia and astrocytes after spinal cord *** vitro experiments showed that Gas6 had negative effects on the polarization of reactive astrocytes and pro-inflammatory microglia,and even inhibited the cross-regulation between *** further demonstrated that Gas6 can inhibit the polarization of reactive astrocytes by suppressing the activation of the yes-associated protein signaling ***,in turn,inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia by suppressing the activation of the nuclear factor-κB/p65 and Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signaling *** vivo experiments showed that Gas6 inhibited the polarization of pro-inflammatory microglia and reactive astrocytes in the injured spinal cord,thereby promoting tissue repair and motor function ***,Gas6 may play a role in the treatment of spinal cord *** can inhibit the inflammatory pathway of microglia and polarization of astrocytes,attenuate the interaction between microglia and astrocytes in the inflammatory microenvironment,and thereby alleviate local inflammation and reduce scar formation in the spinal cord.
