diarrhea has become the leading cause of illness and death among infants and young children in developing ***,patients with diarrhea showed damaged intestinal epithelial villi,usually accompanied by lactase *** this study,we evaluated the therapeutic effects of lactose-free milk powder on rats and children with ***-associated diarrhea(AAd)model was established by gavage with antibiotic mixture in Sd rats,followed by administration of milk powder containing lactose or *** results showed that lactose-free milk powder ameliorated A Ad-related diarrhea symptoms,and accelerated the recovery from *** 16S sequencing results indicated lactose-free milk powder contributed to increase theα-andβ-diversity of intestinal flora,and restore the intestinal microbiota *** conclusion,our data demonstrate that lactose-free milk powder could alleviate diarrhea by restoring gut microbiota and intestinal barrier function.

The abuse of plastic food packaging has brought about severe white pollution issues around the *** green and sustainable biomass packaging is an effective way to solve this ***,a chitosan/sodium alginate-based multilayer film is fabricated via a layer-by-layer(LBL)self-assembly *** the help of superior interaction between the layers,the multilayer film possesses excellent mechanical properties(with a tensile strength of 50 MPa).Besides,the film displays outstanding water retention property(blocking moisture of 97.56%)and ultraviolet blocking *** is introduced into the film to detect the food quality since it is one natural plant polyphenol that is sensitive to the pH changes ranging from 1 to 13 in food when spoilage *** is noted that the film is also bacteriostatic which is desired for food *** study describes a simple technique for the development of advanced multifunctional and fully biodegradable food packaging film and it is a sustainable alternative to plastic packaging.

It is a developed photosynthetic co-culture system to alleviate the hypoxia and hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)-injured human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).The algae,Chlorella vulgaris,were encapsulated to slow their growth while not affecting the photosynthetic oxygen-producing capacity by Layer-by-layer(LbL)using gelatin and sodium alginate as the positive and negative charges materials,***,the photosynthetic co-culture system of HUVECs and self-oxygenating alginate hydrogel(Algae-gel)was constructed in which the optimal ratios between algae and HUVECs were 5:1 and 20:1 for a 2d or 3d co-cultured manner,*** indicated that the 3d cocultured manner of HUVECs needed more O_(2) by the production of algae than it did in a 2d co-cultured *** co-cultured Algae-gel could alleviate hypoxia and the oxidative stress injury of hypoxia and hypoxia/reoxygenation(H/R)-treated HUVECs in the proliferation,intracellular ROS and cellular migratory *** addition,the Algaegel could downregulate the expression of hypoxia-inducible factors 1α(HIF-1α)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEgF)of hypoxia and H/R-injured HUVECs due to the improvement of hypoxia and H/R *** photosynthetic co-culture system could offer a promising approach for repairing hypoxia and H/R-injured cells or tissue by providing safe and stable O_(2).

Phomaketals A(1)and B(2),two tropolonic meroterpenoids with the unprecedented pentacyclic skeletons,were isolated from the solid-substrate fermentation cultures of a eupC overexpressed mutant strain of the fungus Phoma sp.,together with a biogenetically related secondary metabolite pughiinin B(3),and the known one noreupenifeldin B(4).The structures of 1–3 were elucidated primarily by nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)*** absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were assigned by electronic circular dichroism calculations and the calculated NMR with dP4+analysis,while that of 3 was established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis using Cu Kα***,phomaketals A(1)and B(2)could be derived from the hypothetical tropolonic sesquiterpene intermediates neosetophomone B(6)and 9-R-neosetophomone B(6),respectively,via different reactions *** 1 showed antiproliferative effect only against the SUPB15 cells,with an 50%inhibitory concentration(IC50)value of 4.85μmol/L,while the co-isolated known meroterpenoid 4 displayed potent effects against three tumor cell lines,SUPB15,EL4,and H9,showing IC50values of 0.36–27.08μmol/L.

Quantification of irrigation water transport processes in ZiZiphus jujuba garden using water stable isotopes

ZiZiphus jujuba,which is native to China,has become one of the main crops widely planted in the western Loess Plateau because of its drought and flood-tolerance,adaptability,and higher nutritional value of the *** irrigation water infiltration in *** gardens is complex,and understanding its mechanisms is essential for efficient water use and sustainable *** knowledge helps ensure the long-term success of jujuba *** paper describes a field experiment that investigates the infiltration process of irrigation water from *** garden and quantifies the contribution of irrigation water to soil water at different depths using the MixSIAR *** to the FC(Field water holding Capacity)of ***,irrigation experiments with three volumes of 80%FC,60%FC,and 40%FC are set up in this *** study finds that water retention is better in *** garden soils with a higher proportion of coarse gravel in the soil particle *** water content exhibits a gradient change after irrigation,with deeper wetting front transport depth observed with increased irrigation ***,there is correlation between soil temperature and soil water *** soil water in *** garden generally exhibits a preferential flow signal in the 0-40 cm *** 40 cm,a piston flow pattern *** rate of soil water infiltration increases with the amount of irrigation *** the 0-40 cm range of the soil vertical profile,irrigation water was the main contributor to soil *** demonstrated flexibility in water uptake,primarily absorbing soil water at depths of 0-40 *** optimal growth of *** at this stage,40%FC irrigation is *** results are expected to be valuable future irrigation practices and land use planning for *** garden in arid zones,supporting sustainable agricultural development and water management.

Broadband electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption materials play an important role in military stealth and health ***,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)-derived magnetic-carbon CoNiM@C(M=Cu,Zn,Fe,Mn)microspheres are fabricated,which exhibit flower-like nano–microstructure with tunable EM response *** on the MOFs-derived CoNi@C microsphere,the adjacent third element is introduced into magnetic CoNi alloy to enhance EM wave absorption *** term of broadband absorption,the order of efficient absorption bandwidth(EAB)value is Mn>Fe=Zn>Cu in the CoNiM@C ***,MOFs-derived flower-like CoNiMn@C microspheres hold outstanding broadband absorption and the EAB can reach up to 5.8 gHz(covering 12.2–18 gHz at 2.0 mm thickness).Besides,off-axis electron holography and computational simulations are applied to elucidate the inherent dielectric dissipation and magnetic *** heterointerfaces in CoNiMn@C promote the aggregation of the negative/positive charges at the contacting region,forming interfacial *** graphitized carbon layer catalyzed by the magnetic CoNiMn core offered the electron mobility path,boosting the conductive *** importantly,magnetic coupling is observed in the CoNiMn@C to strengthen the magnetic responding *** study provides a new guide to build broadband EM absorption by regulating the ternary magnetic alloy.

Nitrogen(N)is one of the most limited nutrients of terrestrial ecosystems,whose losses are prevented in tightly coupled cycles in finely tuned *** change-induced N enrichment through atmospheric deposition and application of vast amounts of fertilizer are now challenging the terrestrial N *** mycorrhizal fungi(AMF)are known drivers of plant-soil nutrient fluxes,but a comprehensive assessment of AMF involvement in N cycling under global change is still ***,we simulated N enrichment by fertilization(low/high)in experimental grassland microcosms under greenhouse conditions in the presence or absence of AMF and continuously monitored different N pathways over nine *** found that high N enrichment by fertilization decreased the relative abundance of legumes and the plant species dominating the plant community changed from grasses to forbs in the presence of AMF,based on aboveground *** presence of AMF always maintained plant N:phosphorus(P)ratios between 14 and 16,no matter how the soil N availability *** in plant N:P ratios due to the increased plant N and P uptake might thus be a primary pathway of AMF altering plant community ***,we constructed a comprehensive picture of AMF’s role in N cycling,highlighting that AMF reduced N losses primarily by mitigating N leaching,while N_(2)O emissions played a marginal *** mycorrhizal fungi reduced N_(2)O emissions directly through the promotion of N_(2)O-consuming *** underlying mechanism for reducing N leaching is mainly the AMF-mediated improved nutrient uptake and AMF-associated microbial *** results indicate that synergies between AMF and other soil microorganisms cannot be ignored in N cycling and that the integral role of AMF in N cycling terrestrial ecosystems can buffer the upcoming global changes.

Reconfigurable devices can be used to achieve multiple logic operation and intelligent optical sensing with low power consumption,which is promising candidates for new generation electronic and optoelectronic integrated ***,the versatility is still limited and need to be extended by the device architectures ***,we report an asymmetrically gate two-dimensional(2d)van der Waals heterostructure with hybrid dielectric layer SiO_(2)/hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN),which enable rich function including reconfigurable logic operation and in-sensor information encryption enabled by both volatile and non-volatile optoelectrical *** the partial gate is grounded,the non-volatile light assisted electrostatic doping endowed partially reconfigurable doping between n-type and p-type,which allow the switching of logic XOR and not implication(NIMP).When the global gate is grounded,additionally taking the optical signal as another input signal,logic ANd and OR is realized by combined regulation of the light and localized gate *** on the high on/off current ratio approaching 105 and reliable&switchable logic gate,in-sensor information encryption and decryption is demonstrated by manipulating the logic ***,these results provide strong extension for current reconfigurable electronic and optoelectronic devices.
