Lower back pain is one of the most common medical problems in the world and it is experienced by a huge percentage of people *** to its ability to produce a detailed view of the soft tissues,including the spinal cord,nerves,intervertebral discs,and vertebrae,Magnetic Resonance Imaging is thought to be the most effective method for imaging the *** semantic segmentation of vertebrae plays a major role in the diagnostic process of lumbar *** is difficult to semantically partition the vertebrae in Magnetic Resonance Images from the surrounding variety of tissues,including muscles,ligaments,and intervertebral discs.U-Net is a powerful deep-learning architecture to handle the challenges of medical image analysis tasks and achieves high segmentation *** work proposes a modified U-Net architecture namely MU-Net,consisting of the Meijering convolutional layer that incorporates the Meijering filter to perform the semantic segmentation of lumbar vertebrae L1 to L5 and sacral vertebra ***-colour mask images were generated and used as ground truth for training the *** work has been carried out on 1312 images expanded from T1-weighted mid-sagittal MRI images of 515 patients in the Lumbar spine MRI Dataset publicly available from Mendeley *** proposed MU-Net model for the semantic segmentation of the lumbar vertebrae gives better performance with 98.79%of pixel accuracy(PA),98.66%of dice similarity coefficient(DsC),97.36%of Jaccard coefficient,and 92.55%mean Intersection over Union(mean IoU)metrics using the mentioned dataset.

Current exertion is made to depict and search out the flow features imparted to viscid fluid flow over a rotational disk. Impression of magnetic field with rotating fluid is generated by interacting it in radial *** structured particles with magnetized fluid are also incorporated in the upshot of chemical reaction and absorptive/generative heat induction. Von Kumaran procedure is executed to obtain flow narrating differential *** pattern regarding thermal, momentum profiles are comprehended with the support of shooting method and RungeKutta methods. Furthermore, to get more realistic view of result description computational algorithm is modified by improving Runge-Kutta coefficients with Cash and Carp method. The aspects of flow controlling parameters like momentum slip parameter, magnetic strength parameter, Brownian motion parameter, thermophoresis parameter are adorned in sketches. Findings of these architects are accumulated in conclusion section.

Generalized polynomial chaos expansion by reanalysis using static condensation based on substructuring

This paper presents a new computational method for forward uncertainty quantification(UQ)analyses on large-scale structural systems in the presence of arbitrary and dependent random *** method consists of a generalized polynomial chaos expansion(GPCE)for statistical moment and reliability analyses associated with the stochastic output and a static reanalysis method to generate the input-output data *** the reanalysis,we employ.s.bstructuring for a structure to isolate its local regions that vary due to random *** allows for avoiding repeated computations of invariant substructures while generating the input-output data *** substructuring with static condensation further improves the computational efficiency of the reanalysis without losing ***,the GPCE with the static reanalysis method can achieve significant computational saving,thus mitigating the curse of dimensionality to some degree for UQ under high-dimensional *** numerical results obtained from a simple structure indicate that the proposed method for UQ produces accurate solutions more efficiently than the GPCE using full finite element analyses(FEAs).We also demonstrate the efficiency and scalability of the proposed method by executing UQ for a large-scale wing-box structure under ten-dimensional(all-dependent)random inputs.

Predicting Maximum Lifespan Limits at Mean Menopausal Age

The age at which a woman enters natural menopause has also been associated to death from any cause. Menopause is a natural component of aging that happens between the ages of 45 and 55, with the average menopausal age being 51. Previous research has revealed the age at which women reach menopause, but there is no evidence to support the link between menopause and longevity. We made a study in assessing the limits of maximum lifespan at menopausal age in our previous article. In this paper, we aim to predict the maximum lifespan of women at mean menopausal age.

This paper studies the problem of stability for Takagi-sugeno（T-s） fuzzy.s.stems with time varying *** employing a new augmented Lyapunov-Krasovskii function,using the second-order Bessel-Legendre inequality and combining with reciprocally convex approach,some less conservative delay-dependent stability criteria are derived within the framework of linear matrix inequalities（LMIs）.Two numerical examples are proposed to illustrate the effectiveness and the improvement of the proposed method.

Large-scale synthesis of single-crystal Cdse nanoribbons is achieved by a modified thermal evaporation method, in which two-step-thermal-evaporation is used to control Cdse sources＇ evaporation. The synthesized Cdse nanoribbons are usually.s.veral micrometers in width, 50 nm in thickness, and tens to several hundred micrometers in length. studies have shown that high-quality Cdse nanoribbons with regular shapes can be obtained by this method. Room-temperature photolumines-cence indicates that the lasing emission at 710 nm has been observed under optical pumping （266 nm） at power densities of 25-153 kW/cm^2. The full width half maximum （FWHM） of the lasing mode is 0.67 nm

The Comparison Between Finite Element Analysis and Experimental Results of the Cooling of Injection Moulds with Hot Runner system

In an injection moulding process, the mould cooling s ystem is very important as an efficient and uniform cooling effect can improve b oth the productivity and part quality. Due to the complexity of the process, muc h research on the mould cooling analysis and cooling design optimization has bee n focused on the core and the cavity, excluding other systems of injection mould s. However, the runner system introduces a considerable amount of heat into the mould. In recent years, more and more hot runner systems are being applied in th e moulding industry to save material and decrease losses of injection pressure. This raises the need to include the hot runner system in the cooling analysis. I n this paper, a photo frame part was studied. The mould was built with a hot run ner system. Two thermal sensors were installed: one measures the temperature of lateral surface of hot runner nozzle; the other measures the plastic temperature from the core side. A pressure sensor was also installed to measure the pressur e of the core impression. Cooling analysis was performed using ABAQUs, ananalysi s software based on the Finite Element Method (FEM). The assembly including core , cavity and plastic part was modeled. Heat conduction from hot runner to cavity and from polymer melt to the mould and force convection on the cooling channel surfaces were studied. The natural convection between the ambient air and the ex terior mould surface was ignored. The simulations were adjusted with the experim ental results to find out the heat input from hot runner and its influence on mo uld cooling. Finally, the optimal cooling design and optimal injection condition were obtained.

Effects of fractional-order PI controller on delay margin in single-area delayed load frequency control systems

This study aims to determine the improvement effect on the delay margin if fractional-order proportional integral(PI) controller is used in the control of a singlearea delayed load frequency control(LFC) system. The delay margin of the system with fractional-order PI control has been obtained for various fractional integral orders and the effect of them has been shown on the delay margin as a third controller parameter. Furthermore,the stability of the system that is either under or over the delay margin is examined by generalized modified Mikhailov *** stability results obtained have been confirmed numerically in time domain. It is demonstrated that the proposed controller for delayed LFC system provides more flexibility on delay margin according to integer-order PI controller.

CHANGEs OF MEAN VELOCITy PROFILEs IN THE WAVE-CURRENT COMBINED FLOW

A mathematical model is developed to simulate the change in mean velocity for the coexistent case of waves and current. The experimental results of mean velocity profile in a wave-current flume show the following features: Eulerian mean current profile for following current is more uniformly distributed than the corresponding pure current case, whereas , the case of an opposing current leads to the more straight profile. This model is based on Eulerian mean framework, and motions of wave and current are solved simultaneously. The comparisons of numerical results and experimental data show that the mathematical model presented in this paper is reasonable and feasible.

The preparation for an experimental soft x-ray tomography.s.udy on the Heliotron J (H-J) machine is carried out,with the objectives of evaluating the capability of the current soft x-ray tomographic system in terms of the identification of different mode structures and their poloidal rotation,and the axis shift with different plasma and machine parameters,and fixing the physics goals for the experimental *** preparations were carried out via a simulated soft x-ray data set arising from different plasma conditions,such as magnetic islands,low beta and high *** x-ray tomography (sXT) is performed by the discrete pixel method including singular value decomposition and Phillips-Tikhonov regularization,to obtain clear and smooth *** H-J soft x-ray tomography results from simulated soft x-rays for the equilibrium H-J plasma sensed the magnetic axis shift clearly and an estimate was also *** reconstruction for mode structure m =1/n =1 was obtained along with the realization of the poloidal rotation of the *** reconstruction for the m =2/n =1 mode was not very clear for the current soft x-ray diagnostic *** mode identification was not possible due to the lack of *** sXT from the current soft x-ray diagnostic on H-J,the magnetic axis shift can be estimated and the m =1/n =1 mode can be *** of higher poloidal modes is difficult with the current design.
