Based on Timoshenko-Mindlin kinematic hypotheses and Hamilton's principle,a dynamic non-linear theory for general laminated circular cylindrical shells with transverse shear deformation is developed.A multi-mode solution for periodic in- plane loads is formulated for the non-linear dynamic stability of an anti-symmetric angle-ply cylinder with its ends elastically restrained against *** resulted equations in terms of time function are solved by the incremental harmonic balance method.

This paper’ presents a simple method for the stochastic dynamic analysis of some offshore platforms with localized nonlinearity. The transfer function of the platform with initial linear stiffness is first determined, and the nonlinear iteration is performed on the condensed stiffness matrix only. Computational efforts are reduced. This method can be used to analyze a fixed platform on nonlinear foundation and a guyed tower platform having nonlinear guylines.

The fourth-order Zakharov integral equation for surface gravity waves derived by Stiasshie and Shemer is modified to include the effect of shear flow. Using this new equation the class instability of a Stokes wave train in shear flow is studied. The effect of the vorticity on the instability is discussed, and a kind of new unstable regions has been found.

This paper describes an analysis of a"Slurry-Fall-Fill"Dam in China by finite element technique. The formulation follows the general variational principle of Biot’s coupled problem of consolidation with the incorporation of nonlinear elastoplastic constitutive relationship for *** characterization of soil behaviour by four equations relating the elastic bulk modulus k,elastic shear modulus G,strain hardening parameter H,and yield function fas used in the elasto-plastic model is ***,the results of the finite element analysis,including the distribution of vertical displacement and pore water pressure in the dam are presented.

AIM:To assess the repeatability,interocular correlation,and agreement of quantitative swept-source optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)optic nerve head(ONH)parameters in healthy ***:Thir ty-three healthy subjects were *** ONH of both eyes were imaged four times by a swept-source-OCTA using a 3 mm×3 mm scanning *** of the radial peripapillary capillary were analyzed by a customized Matlab program,and the vessel density,fractal dimension,and vessel diameter index were *** repeatability of the four scans was determined by the intraclass correlation coefficient(ICC).The most well-centered optic disc from the four repeated scans was then selected for the interocular correlation and agreement analysis using the Pearson correlation coefficient,ICC and Bland-Altman ***:All swept-source-OCTA ONH parameters exhibited certain repeatability,with ICC>0.760 and coefficient of variation(CoV)≤7.301%.The obvious interocular correlation was observed for papillary vessel density(ICC=0.857),vessel diameter index(ICC=0.857)and fractal dimension(ICC=0.906),while circumpapillary vessel density exhibited moderate interocular correlation(ICC=0.687).Bland-Altman plots revealed an agreement range of-5.26%to 6.21%for circumpapillary vessel ***:OCTA ONH parameters demonstrate good repeatability in healthy *** interocular correlations of papillary vessel density,fractal dimension and vessel diameter index are high,but the correlation for circumpapillary vessel density is moderate.

Guided by the theoretical processes of mindfulness and psychological well-being,this study examined serenity as a mediator between mindfulness facets and psychological well-being,as indexed by depressive symptoms and life *** were 133 mindfulness practitioners who took part in a 3-day transnational meditation event in Hong *** informed consent,participants completed a self-report *** findings from structural equation modeling showed that serenity mediated the relation between two facets of mindfulness,including describing and nonreacting to inner experience,and life *** also mediated the relation between the mindfulness facet of describing and depressive *** associations were indicated between two mindfulness facets,including observing and nonjudging of inner experience,and depressive *** together,the findings revealed mindfulness facets as major correlates of serenity and psychological outcomes among Chinese meditation *** foster psychological well-being,researchers,educators,and practitioners should pay attention to the role of serenity,describing,and nonreacting to inner experience in mental health.
