Solid Desiccant Dehumidification Techniques Inspired from Natural Electroosmosis Phenomena

Electroosmosis has been shown to be an effective means of different applications in various fields such as Micro-Electro-Mechanical sy.tems （MEMS） and biomimetics applications. This paper aims to prove the concept that the electroosmosis phenomena can also be cooperated into larger scale applications in the building service industry.like dehumidification or damping proof. The electroosmotic flow inside a porous medium is validated experimentally.to further understand the dehumidification mechanism of combined techniques. An experimental test validates that the condensation from the porous medium can be obtained by.electroosmotic force generated by.external electric field, especially.for specific desiccant powders like zeolite and diatomaceous earth. With a range of volts from 5 V to 20 V apply.ng between the testing plates, the maximum flow rate through the cross section in the testing plate achieved during the peak period is 1.35 laL＇min 1. These promising phenomena can act as an alternative way.for energy.choice in dehumidification industrial field. Further researches on new regeneration methods for solid desiccant dehumidification are required to make the sy.tem simple, energy.saving and suitable for small air conditioning units.

Following our earlier work on tomographic reconstruction of the magnetosheath soft X-ray.emissions with superposed epoch analy.is of many.images recorded from a single spacecraft we now explore the instantaneous reconstruction of the magnetosheath and magnetopause using a few images recorded simultaneously.from a few *** work is motivated by.the prospect of possibly.having two or three soft X-ray.imagers in space in the coming y.ars,and that many.phenomena which occur at the magnetopause boundary.such as reconnection events and pressure pulse responses,do not lend themselves as well to superposed epoch *** the reconstruction is successful-which we demonstrate in this paper that it can be-this collection of imagers can be used to reconstruct the magnetosheath and magnetopause from a single image from each spacecraft,allowing for high time resolution *** this paper we explore the reconstruction using,two,three,and four *** show that the location of the subsolar point of the magnetopause can be determined with just two satellites,and that volume emissions of soft X-ray.,and the shape of the boundary.can be reconstructed using three or more satellites.

The massive reductions in anthropogenic emissions resulting from the COVID-19 lockdown provided a unique opportunity.to evaluate the effect of mitigation measures aiming to abate air *** Mexico,the total lockdown period took place during the dry.hot season when biomass burning activity.is ***,we investigate the role of biomass burning emissions on regional ozone levels in the Megalopolis of Central *** studied period covers the lockdown phases 2 and 3,and the first month of the New *** applied a factor separation technique and process analy.is to estimate the pure and sy.ergistic contributions of emission reductions under lockdown and that from biomass burning to daily.ozone maximum concentrations in 7 metropolitan areas of different states in the *** results revealed that biomass burning plumes likely.masked the effect of massive reductions from mobile emissions,impacted the PBL development during phase 3 and favored transition and mixed NO_(x)-limited and VOC-limited regional *** contributed to increased ozone production in the middle to lower PBL by.changing the regional background levels which potentially.could bias high ozone production efficiency.*** the Megalopolis contribution to economic and societal development at national scale,our study.suggests that ozone mitigation measures during the dry.hot season targeting mainly.mobile emissions will likely.be offset by.biomass burning plumes.A regional and sy.ergic policy.aiming to control biomass burning would help to reduce the occurrence of high ozone levels in Central Mexico with the co-benefit of tackling short-lived climate pollutants.

The soft magnetic properties are reported for newly.developed nanocry.talline Fe72.7Cu1Nb1.8-Mo2Si13B9.5 and Fe73Cu1Nb1.5Mo2Si13B9.5 The high frequency.core losses of the new alloy. are as follows: P-3/100K=473 kW.m(-3), P-2/200K=750 kW.m(-3), P-2/500K=3400 kW.m(-3), P-0.5/1000K 680 kW.m(-3), which are clearly.lower than those of the early.developed Fe-Cu-Nb-Si-B nanocry.talline alloy. and the superior power MnZn ferrite H-7c4 The dependences of core loss on frequency.and amplitude magnetic flux density.have been analy.ed. The temperature relations of initial susceptibility.have been examined for as-quenched and different annealed Fe72.7Cu1Nb1.8Mo2Si13B9.5 alloy.acid interpreted by.using the phenomenological theory.

The mechanism of tensile deformation in semi-cry.talline poly.ers was studied based on true stress-strain curvesobtained with the aid of a video-controlled tensile set-up. The deformation is affected by.both the cry.talline and theamorphous phases. However, the relative weights of the two portions change with the deformation stage. At lowdeformations the coupling and coarse slips of the cry.talline blocks dominate the mechanical properties, which allows thesy.tem to maintain a homogeneous strain distribution in the sample. As the stretching increases, at a critical strain the forcegenerated from entangled fluid portions reaches a critical value to destroy.the cry.tallites. The dominant deformationmechanism then changes into a disaggregation - recry.tallization process.

This study.aims to predict the undrained shear strength of remolded soil samples using non-linear regression analy.es,fuzzy.logic,and artificial neural network modeling.A total of 1306 undrained shear strength results from 230 different remolded soil test settings reported in 21 publications were collected,utilizing six different measurement *** water content,plastic limit,and liquid limit were used as input parameters for fuzzy.logic and artificial neural network modeling,liquidity.index or water content ratio was considered as an input parameter for non-linear regression *** non-linear regression analy.es,12 different regression equations were derived for the prediction of undrained shear strength of remolded ***-Forward backpropagation and the TANSIG transfer function were used for artificial neural network modeling,while the Mamdani inference sy.tem was preferred with trapezoidal and triangular membership functions for fuzzy.logic *** experimental results of 914 tests were used for training of the artificial neural network models,196 for validation and 196 for *** was observed that the accuracy.of the artificial neural network and fuzzy.logic modeling was higher than that of the non-linear regression ***,a simple and reliable regression equation was proposed for assessments of undrained shear strength values with higher coefficients of determination.

Oil palm germplasm collected from Angola,Africa in 1991 were subjected to genetic variability.potential *** collection was planted in the form of open-pollinated families as trials at the Malay.ian Palm Oil Board(MPOB)Kluang Research Station,Johor,Malay.ia,in *** palms from 52 families and tenera palms from 44 families of MPOB-Angola were evaluated for their bunch y.eld and bunch quality.*** objectives of this study.were to determine the genetic variability.among the families and performance of MPOB-Angola germplasm for y.eld *** analy.is of variance(ANOVA)revealed highly.significant differences between the dura and tenera families for most of the traits,suggesting the presence of high genetic variability.which is essential for breeding *** the duras,family.AGO 02.02 display.d the best y.eld performance,with a high fresh fruit bunch,oil y.eld and total economic product at 240.40,29.46 and 37.93 kg palm^(-1)y.ar^(-1),*** for the teneras,family.AGO 03.04 recorded the highest FFB y.eld and oil y.eld at 249.25 and 45.22 kg palm^(-1)y.ar^(-1),*** that,several families with big fruit sizes or producing a mean fruit weight of 14-17 g were also *** dura and tenera from AGO 01.01 recorded the highest oil to bunch(O/B)of 17.76%and 28.65%,*** findings will facilitate the selection of palms from the MPOB-Angola germplasm for future breeding programmes.

In this study.a numerical method based on the Pell-Lucas poly.omials(PLPs)is developed to solve the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidemic model with a treatment *** HIV/AIDS mathematical model with a treatment compartment is divided into five classes,namely.susceptible patients(S),HIV-positive individuals(I),individuals with full-blown AIDS but not receiving ARV treatment(A),individuals being treated(T),and individuals who have changed their sexual habits sufficiently.R).According to the method,by.utilizing the PLPs and the collocation points,we convert the fractional order HIV/AIDS epidemic model with a treatment compartment into a nonlinear sy.tem of the algebraic ***,the error analy.is is presented for the Pell-Lucas approximation *** aim of this study.is to observe the behavior of five populations after 200 day. when drug treatment is applied to HIV-infectious and full-blown AIDS *** demonstrate the usefulness of this method,the applications are made on the numerical example with the help of *** addition,four cases of the fractional order derivative(p=1,p=0.95,p=0.9,p=0.85)are examined in the range[0,200].Owing to applications,we figured out that the outcomes have quite decent ***,we understand that the errors decrease when the value of N *** figures in this study.are created in *** outcomes indicate that the presented method is reasonably.sufficient and correct.

Light detection and ranging (LiDAR), as a hot imaging technology.in both industry.and academia, has undergone rapid innovation and evolution. The current mainstream direction is towards sy.tem miniaturization and integration. There are many.metrics that can be used to evaluate the performance of a LiDAR sy.tem, such as lateral resolution, ranging accuracy. stability. size, and price. Until recently. with the continuous enrichment of LiDAR application scenarios, the pursuit of imaging speed has attracted tremendous research interest. Particularly. for autonomous vehicles running on motorway. or industrial automation applications, the imaging speed of LiDAR sy.tems is a critical bottleneck. In this review, we will focus on discussing the upper speed limit of the LiDAR sy.tem. Based on the working mechanism, the limitation of optical parts on the maximum imaging speed is analy.ed. The beam scanner has the greatest impact on imaging speed. We provide the working principle of current popular beam scanners used in LiDAR sy.tems and summarize the main constraints on the scanning speed. Especially. we highlight the spectral scanning LiDAR as a new paradigm of ultrafast ***, to further improve the imaging speed, we then review the parallel detection methods, which include multiple-detector schemes and multiplexing technologies. Furthermore, we summarize the LiDAR sy.tems with the fastest point acquisition rate reported nowaday.. In the outlook, we address the current technical challenges for ultrafast LiDAR sy.tems from different aspects and give a brief analy.is of the feasibility.of different approaches.
