Poly.etallic lay.red double hy.roxides are prom.sing cost-effective cataly.ts for the oxy.en evolution reaction(OER) due to their versatile anionic and cationic tunability. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, notably. issues related to low electrical conductivity. poor cataly.ic activity. and stability. especially.at high current density. Herein, we report the design of Ce-and Ladoped Co Ni Fe-lay.red double hy.roxide(Ce La Co Ni Fe-LDH) nanosheets through a facile and scalable in situ self-assem.ly.strategy.that display. enhanced OER activity. Experim.ntal and theoretical investigations provide insights into the im.act of Ceand La-doping by.com.aring Ce Co Ni Fe-LDH, La Co Ni Fe-LDH, and pristine Co Ni Fe-LDH, all sy.thesized using the sam. m.thodology. These results reveal that doping Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)into Co Ni Fe-LDH substantially.im.roves its electronic structure,resulting in enhanced conductivity. m.re oxy.en vacancies(Vo), electron interaction, and active site form.tion. Consequently.significantly.reduced overpotentials of 175, 314, and 424 m.V at 10, 100, and 500 m.A cm.(-2), respectively. and a highly.stable current density.of 120 h in 1 m.KOH were achieved. Notably. these perform.nce m.trics surpass those of unm.dified LDHs and are com.etitive with m.ny.lanthanide-doped transition m.tal-based LDH electrocataly.ts, as well as noble m.tal cataly.ts like ruthenium.cataly.ts. This work represents a pioneering effort in doping Ce^(3+)and La^(3+)ions into a functional Co Ni Fe-based electrocataly.t, offering inspiring OER perform.nce and scalability.potential.

We developed a single-particle optical particle counter with polarization detection(SOPC)for the real-tim. m.asurem.nt of the optical size and depolarization ratio(defined as the ratio of the vertical com.onent to the parallel com.onent of backward scattering)of atm.spheric particles,the polarization ratio(DR)value can reflect the irregularity.of the *** SOPC can detect aerosol particles with size larger than 500 nm.and the m.xim.m.particle count rate reaches~1.8×10^(5)particles per *** SOPC uses a m.dulated polarization laser to m.asure the optical size of particles according to forward scattering signal and the DR value of the particles by.backward S and P signal *** sam.ling rate of the SOPC was 106#/(sec·channel),and all the raw data were processed *** calibration curve was obtained by.poly.ty.ene latex spheres with sizes of 0.5-10μm.and the average relative deviation of m.asurem.nt was 3.96% for sub 3μm.particles.T-m.trix m.thod calculations showed that the DR value of backscatter light at 120°could describe the variations in the aspect ratio of particles in the above size *** perform.d insitu observations for the evaluation of the SOPC,the m.ss concentration constructed by.the SOPC showed good agreem.nt with the Pm.(2.5)m.asurem.nts in a nearby.state-controlled m.nitoring *** instrum.nt could provide useful data for source appointm.nt and regulations against air pollution.

The left-lateral Alty. Tagh Fault(ATF) sy.tem.is the northern boundary.of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau, separating the Tarim.Basin and the Qaidam.Basin. The m.ddle section of ATF has not recorded any.large earthquakes since1598 AD, so the potential seism.c hazard is unclear. We develope an earthquake catalog using continuous waveform.data recorded by.the Tarim.Alty.-Qaidam.dense nodal seism.c array.from.Septem.er 17 to Novem.er23, 2021 in the m.ddle section of ATF. With the m.chine learning-based picker, phase association, location, m.tch and locate workflow, we detecte 233 earthquakes with m.L-1–3, far m.re than 6 earthquakes in the routine catalog. Com.ining with focal m.chanism.solutions and the local fault structure, we find that seism.c events are clustered along the ATF with strike-slip focal m.chanism. and on the southern secondary.faults with thrusting focal m.chanism.. This overall seism.c activity.in the m.ddle section of the ATF m.ght be due to the northeastward transpressional m.tion of the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau block at the western m.rgin of the Qaidam.Basin.

A series of em.ssion reduction m.asures were conducted in Wuhan,Central China,to ensure good air quality.during the 7th m.litary.World Gam.s(m.G)in October *** better understand the im.lications for ozone(O_(3))pollution control strategies,we applied integrated analy.is approaches based on the de-weathered statistical m.del,param.terization m.thods,chem.cal box m.del,and positive m.trix factorization *** the m.G,concentrations of O_(3),NO_x,and volatile organic com.ound(VOCs),OFP(O_(3)form.tion potential),L_(OH)(OH radical loss rate)were 83μg/m.(3),43μg/m.(3),26 ppbv,188μg/m.(3),and 3.9 s^(-1),respectively.which were 26%,18%,3%,15%,and 13%lower than pre-m.G values and 6%,39%,30%,33%,and 50%lower than post-m.G values,*** rem.ving m.teorological influence,O_(3)and its precursors during the m.G decreased largely.com.ared with post-m.G values,and only.O_(3),NO_(2),and oxy.enated VOCs(OVOCs)declined com.ared with pre-m.G values,which revealed the em.ssion reduction m.asures during the m.G play.d an im.ortant role for O_(3)*** six VOCs sources,the m.ss contributions of biom.ss burning and solvents usage during the m.G decreased largely.com.ared with pre-m.G values.O_(3)production was sensitive to VOCs and the key.species were arom.tics,OVOCs,and alkenes,which originated m.inly.from.solvents usage,biom.ss burning,industrial-related com.ustion,and vehicle *** O_(3)concentration during the strict control was m.inly.caused by.OVOCs reduction due to biom.ss burning ***,the O_(3)abatem.nt strategies of Wuhan should be focused on the m.tigation of high-reactivity.VOCs.

Fugitive em.ssion from.industrial sources m.y.result in ozone form.tion and health risk,while the exact contribution of this source rem.ins incom.letely.*** this study.em.ssion characteristics,ozone form.tion potential(OFP)and health risk of fugitive VOCs in7 representative industries were *** m.terial industry.was the dom.nant contributor to VOCs of fugitive em.ssion in com.arison with other *** OFP of VOCs from.fugitive em.ssion was in the range of 1.45×10^(3)-3.98×10^(5)μg/m.(3),with a higher value than that of organized em.ssion in seven industries except for the coking industry.and the chem.cal m.terial industry.suggesting that fugitive VOCs should be taken into account while developing control ***,m.p-xy.ene,n-nonane,ethy.ene,viny. chloridethe and other high OFP-contributing species were the m.jor reactive species that should be *** risk assessm.nt investigated non-cancer and cancer risks of fugitive VOCs in 7 industries were all above safe level(HR>1 and LCR>1×10^(-4)),posing rem.rkable health threats to hum.n *** were the m.in contributor to non-cancer risk,while halohy.rocarbons and arom.tics contributed m.st to cancer risks,posing rem.rkable health threat on hum.n *** findings highlighted the contribution of fugitive VOCs on ozone form.tion and health risk was underestim.ted,indicating which should be considered in em.ssion control strategies of industrial sources.

Serum.25-Hy.roxy.itam.n D Level m.ght Be a Useful Indicator of Disease Severity.in Obese Children With Atopic Derm.titis:A Case-Control Study

Objective:To assess the relationship between the severity.of atopic derm.titis(AD)in children of vary.ng weight categories and their serum.25-hy.roxy.itam.n D[25(OH)D]***:The study.population com.rised 899 patients with AD and 854 age-and sex-m.tched *** m.nn-Whitney.U test and Kruskal-Wallis H tests were used to assess differences between groups,and Spearm.n correlation analy.is was used to test ***:The 25(OH)D level in the AD group was m.Q_(25),Q_(75)),24.0(19.7,28.4)ng/m.,which was significantly.lower than the control group(26.4[23.6,29.9]ng/m.;Z=-3.34,P=0.001).25(OH)D levels in children with AD were negatively.correlated with body.m.ss index(r=-0.30,Py.scoring of Atopic Derm.titis(SCORAD;r=-0.14,Pm.unoglobulin E(r=-0.13,Py.significant differences in 25(OH)D(H=18.46,Pm.unoglobulin E(H=9.13,P=0.010),eosinophil(H=67.17,Pm.ng groups with different body.m.ss index *** 25(OH)D levels were 22.3(17.5,27.1)ng/m. in the overweight AD group and 22.3(17.6,25.7)ng/m. in the obese AD group,which were significantly.lower than those in the norm.l-weight AD group(24.7[20.4,25.5]ng/m.;P=0.003,P=0.004).25(OH)D levels were negatively.correlated with SCORAD in obese AD patients(r=-0.25,P=0.010).Conclusion:Vitam.n D insufficient or deficient is obvious in children AD *** 25(OH)D levels in the overweight/obese AD group are significantly.lower than those in the norm.l-weight AD *** D level is negatively.correlated with SCORAD in obese children with AD.

Holographic optical elem.nts(HOEs)based on poly.er com.osites have becom. a research hot spot in recent y.ars for augm.nted reality.AR)due to the significant im.rovem.nt of optical perform.nce,dy.am.c range,ease of processing and high y.eld ***,it rem.ins a form.dable challenge to obtain a large field of view(FOV)and brightness due to the lim.ted refractive index ***,we report an effective m.thod to tackle the challenge by.doping an epoxy.liquid cry.tal term.d E6m.which enables a large refractive index m.dulation of 0.050@633 nm.and low haze of 5.0%at a doping concentration of 5 wt%.This achievem.nt m.y.be ascribed to the im.roved m.lecular ordering of liquid cry.tals within the holographic poly.er *** high refractive index m.dulation can endow transm.ssion-ty.e holographic poly.er com.osites with a high diffraction efficiency.of 96.2%at a sm.ll thickness of 5μm.which would prom.se the design of thin and lightweight AR devices.

Electroly.e design is essential for stabilizing lithium.m.tal anodes and localized high-concentration electroly.e(LHCE) is a prom.sing one. However, the state-of-the-art LHCE rem.ins insufficient to ensure long-cy.ling lithium.m.tal anodes. Herein, regulating the solvation structure of lithium.ions in LHCE by.weakening the solvating power of diluents is proposed for im.roving LHCE perform.nce. A diluent,1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4-octafluoro-5-(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy. pentane(OFE), with weaker solvating power is introduced to increase the proportion of aggregates(an anion interacts with m.re than two lithium.ions,AGG-n) in electroly.e com.ared with the com.only.used 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethy.-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropy. ether(TTE). The decom.osition of AGG-n in OFE-based LHCE intensifies the form.tion of anion-derived solid electroly.e interphase and im.roves the uniform.ty.of lithium.deposition. Lithium.m.tal batteries with OFE-based LHCE deliver a superior lifespan of 190 cy.les com.ared with 90 cy.les of TTE-based LHCE under dem.nding conditions. Furtherm.re, a pouch cell with OFE-based LHCE delivers a specific energy.of 417 Wh/kg and undergoes 49 cy.les. This work provides guidance for designing high-perform.nce electroly.es for lithium.m.tal batteries.

This study.is a contribution to im.roving rice productivity.on acidic plateau soils of the tropical rainforest zone. It is based on taking into account the cationic balances of the soil in order to optim.ze the phosphorus (P) nutrition of rice on these acidic soils, where this nutrient constitutes a lim.ting factor for agricultural production. Three (3) pot trials were conducted in Adiopodoum. in the forested south of Côte d’Ivoire. The interactive effects of calcium.carbonate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg Ca ha−1) and m.gnesium.sulfate (0, 25, 50 and 75 kg m. ha−1) were evaluated on the response of NERICA 5 rice at doses 0, 25, 50 and 75 kg P ha−1 of natural phosphate from.Togo, applied only.once at the start of the experim.nt. Additional fertilizers of nitrogen (N) (100 kg N ha−1) and potassium.(K) (50 kg KCl ha−1) were added to each of the tests in a split-plot device. The test results revealed a paddy.production potential of approxim.tely.3 to 5 t⋅ha−1 for NERICA 5 on an acidic soil, under the effect of the interaction of P, Ca and m.. The quadratic response of rice y.eld to the doses of these fertilizers would be m.re dependent on their balance, itself influenced by.Ca nutrition. For the sustainability.and m.intenance of rice production in agro-ecology.studied, it was recom.ended doses of 38 kg Ca ha−1, 34 kg m. ha−1 in a Ca/m. ratio (1/1) with intakes of 41 kg P ha−1, overall in a ratio 1/1/1 (P/Ca/m.) m.re favorable to the availability.of free iron considered a guiding elem.nt of m.neral nutrition. Thus, these prom.sing results should be confirm.d in a real environm.nt for better m.nagem.nt of the fertilization of rice cultivated on acidic plateau soils in Côte d’Ivoire.
