The rapid sy.thesis of structurally.complicated electron donors&acceptors still remains a major challenge in organic solar cells(OSC).In this work,we developed a highly.efficient strategy.to access long-chain oligomeric donor and acceptors for OSC applications.A series of cy.lopentadithiophene(CPDT)and benzothiadiazole(BT)-basedπ-conjugated oligomers,i.e.,three oligomeric acceptors(BTDT)n-IC(n=1—3)and one long-chain oligomeric donor(BTDT)4-RD,are facilely.sy.thesized by.an atom-and step-economical,and labor-saving direct C—H ary.ation(DACH)reaction(i.e.,C—H/C—Br cross coupling).Note that(BTDT)4-RD involving five CPDT,four BT and two rhodamine(RD)building blocks is the longest oligomeric donor in the fullerene-free OSC devices ever *** dependence of the structure-property.performance correlation of(BTDT)n-IC(n=1—3)and(BTDT)4-RD on theπ-conjugation lengths is thoroughly.investigated by.opto-electrochemical measurements,bulk heterojunction(BHJ)OSC devices and ***(BTDT)1-IC:PBDB-T and(BTDT)4-RD:y. BHJs achieve power conversion efficiencies of 9.14%and 4.51%,*** findings demonstrate that DACH reaction is a powerful tool to tune the opto-electronic properties and device performances by.regulating the lengths ofπ-conjugated oligomers with varied numbers of repeating units.

To the Editor:Air pollution can lead to respiratory.and cardiovascular diseases(CVDs),and its impact on human health is very.*** particles less than 0.1µm can pass through the blood brain barrier,reach the brain,and enter the central nervous sy.tem,causing phy.iological and pathological changes.A study.shows that long-term exposure to fine particulate matter(PM_(2.5))will increase the risk of CVDs among Chinese residents.^([1])Another study.found that a short time exposure to low concentrations of air pollutants may.also lead to the onset of acute coronary.sy.drome within one hour.^([2])A meta-analy.is based on seven databases showed that environmental air pollution was positively.correlated with elevated blood pressure and hy.ertension.^([3])Mounting evidence indicates that air pollution can cause cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and affect human health furtherly.

Objective:To explore the mechanism by.which icariin alleviates viral ***:CVB3-induced cardiomy.cy.es were used as an in vitro model of viral my.carditis to assess the effects of icariin treatment on cell viability.inflammation,and ***,the effects of icariin on ferroptosis and TLR4 signaling were *** AC16 cells were transfected with TLR4 overexpression plasmids,the role of TLR4 in mediating the regulatory.effect of icariin in viral my.carditis was ***:Icariin significantly.elevated cell viability.and reduced inflammatory.factors TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,and *** cy.ometry.revealed that icariin decreased apoptosis rate,and the protein expression of Bax and cleaved caspase 3 and 9 in CVB3-induced ***,it suppressed ferroptosis including lipid peroxidation and ferrous ion,as well as the TLR4 ***,TLR4 overexpression abrogated the modulatory.effects of ***:Icariin mitigates CVB3-induced my.cardial injury.by.inhibiting TLR4-mediated *** animal study.is needed to verify.its efficacy.

CO_(2)emission inventory.provides fundamental data for climate research and emission ***,most global CO_(2)emission inventories were developed with energy.statistics from International Energy.Agency.IEA)and were available at country.level with limited source ***,as the first step toward a high-resolution and dy.amic updated global CO_(2)emission database,we developed a data-driven approach to construct seamless and highly.resolved energy.consumption data cubes for 208 countries/territories,797 sub-country.administrative divisions in 29 countries,42 fuel ty.es,and 52 sectors,with the fusion of activity.data from 24 international statistics and 65 regional/local *** CO_(2)emissions from fossil fuel combustion and cement production in 1970–2021 were then estimated with highly.resolved source category.1,484 of total)and sub-country.information(797 of total).Specifically.73%of global CO_(2)emissions in 2021 were estimated with sub-country.information,providing considerably.improved spatial resolution for global CO_(2)emission *** the support of detailed information,the dy.amics of global CO_(2)emissions across sectors and fuel ty.es were presented,representing the evolution of global economy.and progress of climate *** differences of sectoral contribution were found across sub-country.administrative divisions within a given country.revealing the uneven distribution of energy.and economic structure among different *** estimates were generally.consistent with existing databases at aggregated level for global total or large emitters,while large discrepancies were observed for middle and small *** database,named the Multiresolution Emission Inventory.model for Climate and air pollution research(MEIC)is publicly.available through http://*** with highly.resolved information and timely.update,which provides an independent carbon emission accounting data source for climate rese

We report the detection of aγ-ray.bubble spanning at least 100deg2 in ultra-high energy.UHE)up to a few PeV in the direction of the star-forming region Cy.nus x,imply.ng the presence super PeVatron(s)accelerating protons to at least 10 PeV.A log-parabola form with the photon indexΓ(E)=(2.71±0.02)+(0.11±0.02)×log10(E/10 TeV)is found fitting the gamma-ray.energy.spectrum of the bubble *** sources,“hot spots”correlated with very.massive molecular clouds,and a quasi-spherical amorphousγ-ray.emitter with a sharp central brightening are observed in the *** the core of~0.5°,spatially.associating with a region containing massive OB association(Cy.nus OB2)and a microquasar(Cy.nus x-3),as well as previously.reported multi-TeV sources,an enhanced concentration of UHEγ-ray. is observed with 2 photons at energies above 1 *** general feature of the bubble,the morphology.and the energy.spectrum,are reasonably.reproduced by.the assumption of a particle accelerator in the core,continuously.injecting protons into the ambient medium.

Effect of dry.ng cracks on swelling and self-healing of bentonite-sand blocks used as engineered barriers for radioactive waste disposal

Experiments were conducted to evaluate the healing of dry.ng cracks in air-dried bentonite-sand blocks after hy.ration and swelling in groundwater,providing justifications to simplify.the protection of blocks prior to installation in a high-level radioactive waste *** groundwater was prepared to represent the geochemistry.of Beishan groundwater,and was used to hy.rate the blocks during the swelling pressure and swelling strain measurements,as Beishan is the most promising site for China's *** of the surface cracks was recorded by.photography.and healing of the internal cracks was visualized by.CT images and hy.raulic conductivity.of air-dried *** results indicate that the maximum swelling pressure and swelling strain are primarily.affected by.the geochemistry.of Beishan groundwater,but not affected by.the dry.ng *** maximum swelling pressure and swelling strain of air-dried blocks are comparable to or even higher than the pressure and strain of fresh *** maximum swelling pressure measured in strong(*** ion strength)Beishan groundwater was 44%of the pressure measured in deionized(DI)water,and the maximum swelling strain was reduced to 23%of the strain measured in DI ***,the remained swelling of the blocks hy.rated in strong Beishan groundwater was sufficient to heal the surface and internal dry.ng cracks,as demonstrated by.the pictures of surface cracks and CT *** hy.raulic conductivity.of the air-dried block permeated with strong groundwater was comparable(3.7×higher)to the hy.raulic conductivity.of the fresh block,indicating the self-healing of dry.ng cracks after hy.ration and swelling in groundwater.A simplified method of protecting the block with plastic wraps before installation is recommended,since the remained swelling of the block hy.rated in Beishan groundwater is sufficient to heal the dry.ng cracks.
