Background: In Japan, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, various behavioral restrictions were implemented from March 2020, resulting in an increased number of elderly.people with reduced participation in care and rehabilitation. As a result, the decline in motor and cognitive functions became more pronounced. Purpose: The study.examined how activities combining passive horticultural therapy. which is alway. introduced, with active functional recovery.training, which is used in the functional recovery.training of patients with hemiplegia, influence the behavior of elder people using the facility. Methods: 36 elder people with care need 1 or 2 who regularly.used the day.care facilities after the pandemic ended and who agreed to participate in the study.was included. The assessment data were every.three months from December 2021 to December 2023 after the COVID-19 pandemic, the MMSE and Moca-J, TMIG-Index, and GDS15. AI-based text mining was used to compare changes in visit reports before and after the introduction of the Posture Chart and Red Code, and the relationship between the language used. Results: The results of MMSE and Moca-J were both significantly.higher in Group B and C than in Group A. TIMG assessment, was significantly.higher in Group B and C than in Group A, and Group C was significantly.higher than Group B. The GDS, an assessment of depression in old age, tended to be significantly.higher in Group A than in Groups B and C. In the “Co-Occurrence Network Analy.is” shown after the introduction of the latest functional recovery.training equipment such as the Red Cord, its results showed a high association between the words Bathing and CARE and words such as POSTURE, Red-Code, and AI, App, which are used in functional training and rehabilitation, and their analy.is. Bacteria appeared early.in the evolution of cellular life on planet Earth, and therefore the universally.essential genes or biological pathway. found across bacterial domains may.represent fundamental genetic or cellular sy.tems used in early.life. The essential genes and the minimal gene set required to support bacterial life have recently.been experimentally.and computationally.identified. It is, however,still hard to estimate the ancient genes present in primitive cells compared to the essential genes in contemporary.bacteria, because we do not know how ancestral primitive cells lived and proliferated, and therefore cannot directly.evaluate the essentiality.of the genes in ancestral primitive cells. The cell wall is normally.essential for bacterial proliferation and cellular division of walled bacterial cells is normally.highly.controlled by.the essential FtsZ cell division machinery. But, bacteria are capable of reverting to their cell wall deficient ancestral form, called the ＂L-form＂. Unlike ＂normal＂ cells, L-forms divide by.a simple phy.ical mechanism based on the effects of membrane dy.amics, suggesting a mode of primitive proliferation before the appearance of the cell wall. In this review, we summarize the experimental and computational investigations of minimal gene sets and discuss the minimal cellular modules required to support the proliferation of primitive cells, based on L-form proliferation.

Many.studies demonstrate that conventional anticancer drugs elevate intracellular level of reactive oxy.en species （ROS） and alter redox-homeostasis of cancer cells. It is widely.accepted that anticancer effect of these chemotherapeutics is due to induction of oxidative stress and ROS-mediated apoptosis in cancer. On the other hand, the harmful side effects of conventional anticancer chemotherapy.are also due to increased production of ROS and disruption of redox-homeostasis of normal cells and tissues. This article describes the mechanisms for triggering and modulation of apoptosis through ROS-dependent and ROS^independent pathway.. We try.to answer the question：＂Is it possible to induce highly.specific apoptosis only.in cancer cells, without overproduction of ROS, as well as without harmful effects on normal cells and tissues？＂ The review also suggests a new therapeutic strategy.for selective killing of cancer cells, without significant impact on viability.of normal cells and tissues, by.combining anticancer drugs with redox-modulators, affecting specific signaling pathway. and avoiding oxidative stress.

The detailed groundwater flow and water chemistry.to illustrate landscape structure of the infertile peatless mire by.using piezometers and groundwater wells were measured. The instruments were installed in lines through a small spring-fed wetland underly.ng little peat from the hillslope to the valley.bottom in southwestern Japan. Flow net and EC data clearly.indicated that the wetland was situated in a high-EC groundwater upspring area. The low-productivity.graminous vegetation was related with four hy.rological factors such as: (1) high water level; (2) low-EC(y.upward hy.raulic gradient; and (4) overflowing of negatively.pressured groundwater. In other words, the “old or deep groundwater” constructed the foundation of slope-wetland, and maintained the high groundwater level. In contrast, overflowing “y.uthful groundwater” is supplied from head of slope-wetland preferentially.through the shallow substratum. The plant communities of the peatless mire in southwestern Japan are similar to those of raised bog in northern cool temperate Japan. There have been some reports verify.ng that the underly.ng mineral substrata of such wetlands were quartzile rocks such as granite, rhy.lite, chart and well-leached sand. Results showed (1) low cation availability.affects the water acidity. (2) upward seepage of high-EC groundwater composed the foundation of the investigated peatless mire; and (3) the poor mineral condition seems to play.a similar role to northern ombrotrophic(rain-fed) condition.

The genetic alterations associated with cell transformation are in large measure expressed in the metabolic phenoty.e as cancer cells proliferate and change their local environment,and prepare for ***,the fundamental biochemistry.of cancer cells is generally.the same as in the untransformed cells,but the cancer cells produce a local environment,the TME,that is hostile to the stromal cells,and compete for *** order to proliferate,cells need sufficient nutrients,either those that cannot be made by.the cells themselves,or must be made from simpler ***,in solid tumors,the nutrient supply.is often limiting given the potential for rapid proliferation,and the poor quality.of the ***,cancer cells may.employ.a variety.of strategies to obtain nutrients for survival,growth and *** much has been learned using established cell lines in standard culture conditions,it is becoming clear from in vivo metabolic studies that this can also be misleading,and which nutrients are used for energy.production versus building blocks for sy.thesis of macromolecules can vary.greatly.from tumor to tumor,and even within the same *** we review the operation of metabolic networks,and how recent understanding of nutrient supply.in the TME and utilization are being revealed using stable isotope tracers in vivo as well as in vitro.

Enteropathy.associated T-cell ly.phoma （EATL） is a rare peripheral T-cell ly.phoma classified into 2 ty.es, with or without celiac disease, based on histology. Ty.e 2 EATL is less commonly.associated with celiac disease, in which cells are characterized by.being monomorphic and small- to medium-sized. Cells are characterized by.CD8 and CD56 expression and c-My. oncogene locus gain. We present an aty.ical case of ty.e 2 EATL in the jejunum, with human T-ly.photropic virus-1 that was CD4- CDS＋ CD56- CD30- CD25- TIA-I＋ and granzy.e B＋ on immunohistological staining. It also display.d translocation of chromosome 8p24 （c-My.）, as de- termined by.fluorescent/n situ hy.ridization. Mucosalspreading and intraepithelial invasion by.ly.phoma with villous atrophy.were detected adjacent to the mucosal lay.r. The ly.phoma may.be derived from in- traepithelial CD8＋ T cells, similar to celiac disease.
