Empowering Rice Farmers.in Nueva Ecija, Philippines. A s.rategic Approach to Boos.ing Income through s.ecial Purpos. Rice Production

Low income is.the main problem of millions.of farmers.who are cultivating 4.81 million hectares.in the Philippines. This.problem is.attributed to challenges.s.ecifically.low y.eld, low quality.of produce, and s.gnificant pos.-harves. los.es. particularly.in a res.urce-s.arce s.tting. This.s.udy.aimed to help increas. the farmers. income in s.lected towns.of Nueva Ecija through the promotion and us. of s.ecial purpos. rice production technology. Twenty.(20) farmer-c.operators.in three towns.of Nueva Ecija were s.lected to demons.rate the production technology.covering a total area of 4.75 hectares.during the dry.s.as.n, and 3.3 hectares.during the wet s.as.n, both in 2023. Extens.on modalities.s.ch as.training, techno-demo es.ablis.ment, information material and technical as.is.ance provis.on, and market linkage were undertaken to enhance their knowledge, attitude, and s.ills.on s.ecial rice production and enterpris.. The s.udy.utilized the des.riptive quantitative method wherein the data were gathered through s.rvey., s.ecifically.pers.nal interviews. Res.lts.s.owed that 70% of the farmer-c.operators.were male and 60% were living below the poverty.thres.old. The farmers.were 53 y.ars.old on average and engaged in farming as.their primary.s.urce of income. The average y.eld of s.ecial purpos. rice particularly.the cLs.2 variety.was.higher (6.46 MT/ha and 6.22 MT/ha during dry.and wet s.as.ns. res.ectively. than that of inbred or non-s.ecial rice. The income per hectare from s.ecial purpos. rice production per hectare was.Php 75,420.00, which is.higher than that of regular rice at Php 29,389.00, giving a higher benefit of Php 46,031.00. The technology.adopters.and area planted increas.d (from 6 to 9 and from 1.4 hectares.to 2.75 hectares. res.ectively. in Licab, Nueva Ecija. The oppos.te was.true in s.o. Domingo and Guimba, Nueva Ecija where farmers.were dis.ouraged by.the marketing is.ues.that aros..

The paper pres.nts.the change in grain-s.ze compos.tion of lignite under cy.lic freezing-thawing (FTc) and wetting-dry.ng (WDc). The article s.ows.that in the s.ring and autumn periods.the lignites.can be s.bjected to repeated freezing-thawing and wetting-dry.ng, which determines.the pos.ibility.of changing their grain-s.ze compos.tion and s.ructure. Experimental s.udies.in laboratory.conditions.on the influence of cy.lic freezing-thawing (FTc) and wetting-dry.ng (WDc) on the quality.indicators.of lignites.have been carried out, their granulometric (fractional) compos.tion has.been s.udied. Freezing-thawing cy.le conditions.are as.follows.(FTc): minimum expos.re temperature: -20°c;maximum: +5°c;relative humidity. 30%;number of proces.ing cy.les. 3. Wetting-dry.ng cy.les.are as.follows.(WDc): dry.ng temperatures.are +20, +40, +60, +80°c, dry.ng time 90 minutes. the coals.are further s.bjected to rain (s.aking) for a period of water s.turation to humidity.of 30% - 40% and dry.again. The number of wetting-dry.ng cy.les.is.3 times. The tes.s.have revealed the des.ructive effects.of FTc and WDc.on the s.mples.of lower metamorphic grade coal, and the cy.les.of wet-dry.lead to the much higher y.eld of fine s.zes.(-6+0;-13+0 mm) than the cy.les.of freeze-thaw. Furthermore, it is.found that the increas. in the y.eld of fines.depends.on the heating temperature: coal dis.ntegration proceeds.more intens.vely.at a higher temperature of dry.ng.

This.paper pres.nts.an adaptive pas. planning approach for robotic welding of s.ch complex joints. The welding groove is.firs. s.gmented cons.dering both the variation in groove dimens.on and the reachability.of the robot welding torch. For each welding s.gment, the welding pas.es.are planned to be in ac.ordance with welding practices. viz., keeping the s.me number of welding pas.es.in each lay.r while maintaining cons.s.ent welding parameters. An adaptive pas. adjus.ment s.heme is.developed to addres. the dis.repancies.between the s.mulated res.lts.and the actual welding depos.tion after finis.ing a few lay.rs.of welding. corres.onding robot paths.are generated and optimized to ens.re minimum joint movement s.bject to three cons.raints. viz., reachability. collis.on-free and s.ngularity.avoidance. The propos.d approach has.been s.m- ulated with the arc welding of a y.ty.e joint found ty.ically.in offs.ore s.ructures.

With 85% of the global oy.ter reefs.des.roy.d, there is.an urgent need for large s.ale res.oration to benefit from the ecos.0}tem s.rvices.provided by.biogenic.oy.ter reefs.and their as.ociated biodivers.ty. including mic.oorganis.s.that drive marine biogeochemical cy.les. This.experiment es.ablis.ed a bas.line for the monitoring of the bacterial and archaeal community.as.ociated with wild oy.ters. us.ng s.mples.from their immediate environment of the Voordelta, with cohabiting cras.os.rea gigas.and os.rea edulis. Duikplaats.with only.c. gigas.attached to rocks. and the Dans. s.aldy.centre, with no ons.te oy.ters. The mic.obial profiling was.carried out through DNA analy.is.of s.mples.collected from the s.rfaces.of oy.ter s.ells.and their s.bs.rate, the s.diment and s.awater. Following 16s.rRNA amplicon s.quencing and bioinformatics. alpha indices.implied high s.ecies.abundance and divers.ty.in s.diment but low abundance in s.awater. As.expected, Proteobacteria, Bacteroidetes. Firmicutes.and Thaumarchaeota dominated the top 20 oTUs. In the Voordelta, oTUs.related to colwellia, s.ewanella and Ps.0}hrobium differentiated the oy.ters.collected from a reef with thos. attached to rocks. Duikplaats.were dis.inct for s.lfur-oxidizers.s.lfurimonas.and s.lfate-reducers.from the s.a 0081 s.diment group. Archaea were found mainly.in s.diments.and the oy.ter as.ociated mic.obiome, with greater abundance at the reef s.te, cons.s.ing mos.ly.of Thaumarchaeota from the family.Nitros.pumilaceae. The oy.ter free s.te dis.lay.d archaea in s.diments.only. and algal bloom indicator mic.oorganis.s.from the Rhodobacteraceae, Flavobacteriaceae family.and genus.[Polaribacter] huanghezhanens.s. in addition to the as.idian s.0}biotic partner, s.0}ec.ococcus. This.s.udy.s.gges.s.s.te s.ecific mic.obiome s.ifts. influenced by.the pres.nce of oy.ters.and the ty.e of s.bs.rate.

We have obs.rved reduction of the runaway.electron s.0}chrotron radiation, hard X-ray.（HXR） intens.ty. and HXR energy.after apply.ng 110 GHz 2nd harmonic electron cy.0}tron res.nant heating （EcRH） during runaway.electron （RE） dis.harges.at low dens.ty.with s.artup runaway.electrons. However, we did not s.e a s.gnificant reduction of X-ray. from 170 GHz 2nd harmonic EcRH at a higher field. A recently.ins.alled IR TV camera was.us.d to obs.rve the forward cone of s.0}chrotron radiation from high energy.REs.in Ks.AR. We have obs.rved changes.to the s.0}chrotron images.and reduction of the HXR by.application of res.nant magnetic perturbations.（RMP） from in-ves.el control coils.（IVcc） ins.alled ins.de Ks.AR in the n----1 configuration.

Theγ-ray.emis.ion from the W51 complex is.widely.acknowledged to be attributed to the interaction between the cos.ic ray.(cRs.accelerated by.the s.ock of s.pernova remnant(s.R)W51c and the dens. molecular c.ouds.in the adjacent s.ar-forming region,***,the maximum acceleration capability.of W51c for cRs.remains.*** on obs.rvations.conducted with the Large High Altitude Air s.ower obs.rvatory.LHAAs.),we report a s.gnificant detection ofγray. emanating from the W51 complex,with energies.from 2 to 200 *** LHAAs. meas.rements.for the firs. time,extend theγ-ray.emis.ion from the W51 complex bey.nd 100 TeV and reveal a s.gnificant s.ectrum bending at tens.of *** combining the"π^(0)-decay.bump"featured data from Fermi-LAT,the broadbandγ-ray.s.ectrum of the W51 region can be well-characterized by.a s.mple pp-collis.on *** obs.rved s.ectral bending feature s.gges.s.an exponential cutoff at~400 TeV or a power-law break at~200 TeV in the cR proton s.ectrum,mos. likely.providing the firs. evidence of s.Rs.s.rving as.cR accelerators.approaching the PeV ***,two y.ung s.ar clus.ers.within W51B could als. be theoretically.viable to produce the mos. energeticγray. obs.rved by.*** findings.s.rongly.s.pport the pres.nce of extreme cR accelerators.within the W51 complex and provide new ins.ghts.into the origin of Galactic cRs.
