In.this study.a series of CuCl_(2)-modified Mn._(x)-CeO_(x)n.n.rods were sy.thesized for the oxidation.of Hg^(0).The addition.of CuCl_(2)resulted in.an.en.an.emen. in.the cataly.t’s Hg^(0)oxidation.ability.an. Hg^(0)oxidation.efficien.y.reached>97%from 150 to 250°*** the Mn._(x)-CeO_(x)cataly.ts,Mn.(4+)play.d the role of the active species for Hg^(0)oxidization.but in.the CuCl_(2)-doped cataly.ts Cl−also con.ributed to Hg^(0)oxidation.con.errin. the superior performan.e of these *** in.roduction.of SO_(2) led to a decrease in.the availability.of Mn.(4+),an. the Hg^(0)oxidation.efficien.y.of Mn._(x)-CeO_(x)decreased from about 100%to about 78%.By.con.rast,CuCl_(2)-promoted samples main.ain.d a Hg^(0)oxidation.efficien.y.of about 100%durin. the SO_(2) deactivation.cy.le due to the high reactivity.of Cl−.

The search for magn.tic topological materials has been.at the forefron. of con.en.ed matter research for their poten.ial to host exotic states such as axion.in.ulators, magn.tic Wey. semimetals, Chern.in.ulators,etc. To date, the Mn.i2n.e3n.1family.is the on.y.group of materials showcasin. van.der Waals-lay.red structures, in.rin.ic magn.tism an. n.n.trivial ban. topology.without trivial ban.s at the Fermi level. The in.erplay.between.magn.tism an. ban. topology.in.this family.has led to the proposal of various topological phen.men., in.ludin. the quan.um an.malous Hall effect, quan.um spin.Hall effect an. quan.um magn.toelectric effect. Amon. these, the quan.um an.malous Hall effect has been.experimen.ally.observed at record-high temperatures, highlightin. the un.receden.ed poten.ial of this family.of materials in.fun.amen.al scien.e an. techn.logical in.ovation.
