1. Seven cases of escape of lipiodol into the utero-ovarian venous sy.tem are reported, among which two cases were recorded as sy.ptomless, three showed sy.ptoms of mild lipiodol pulmonary.embolism, and two showed haemorrhagic infarctions in addition.2. The mechanism of lipiodol pulmonary.*** infarction is described.3. The causes of the escape of lipiodol into the uteroovarian venous sy.tem are discussed.4. The preponderating tendency.of the oil to pass into the veins on the right side is pointed out.5. Suggestions to avoid as far as possible the escape ot the oil into the uteroovarian venous sy.tem are presented.

Water contamination in areas of formal and informal poly.etallic mining is a growing concern in the Peruvian highlands. At the same time, there are agricultural activities that use contaminated water from these rivers for irrigation. This could contaminate the agricultural products grown on these lands, such as potatoes. It is, therefore, necessary.and a priority.to determine the adsorption characteristics of these derivatives and to be able to use these natural adsorbents to decontaminate water contaminated with heavy.metals.

Two-plasmon-decay.instability.TPD)poses a critical target preheating risk in direct-drive inertial confinement *** this paper,TPD collectively.driven by.dual laser beams consisting of a normal-incidence laser beam(Beam-N)and a large-angle-incidence laser beam(Beam-L)is investigated via particle-in-cell *** is found that significant TPD growth can develop in this regime at previously.unexpected low laser intensities if the intensity.of Beam-L exceeds the large-angle-incidence *** beams contribute to the growth of TPD in a“seed-amplification”manner in which the absolute instability.driven by.Beam-L provides the seeds that are convectively.amplified by.Beam-N,making TPD energetically.important and causing significant pump depletion and hot-electron generation.

Cimex species are ectoparasites that exclusively.feed on warm-blooded animals such as birds and mammals. Three cimicid species are known to be persistent pests for humans, including the tropical bed bug Cimex hemipterus, common bed bug Cimex lectularius, and Eastern bat bug Leptocimex boueti. To date, genomic information is restricted to the common bed bug C. lectularius, which limits understanding their biology.and to provide controls of bed bug infestations. Here, a chromosomal-level genome assembly.of C. hemipterus (495 Mb [megabase pairs]) contained on 16 pseudochromosomes (scaffold N50 = 34 Mb), together with 9 messenger RNA and small RNA transcriptomes were obtained. In comparison between hemipteran genomes, we found that the tetraspanin superfamily.was expanded in the Cimex ancestor. This study.provides the first genome assembly.for the tropical bed bug C. hemipterus, and offers an unprecedented opportunity.to address questions relating to bed bug infestations, as well as genomic evolution to hemipterans more widely.

Over the last decade, computational methods have been intensively.applied to a variety.of scientific researches and engineering designs. Although the computational fluid dy.amics （CFD） method has play.d a dominant role in study.ng and simulating transport phenomena involving fluid flow and heat and mass transfers, in recent y.ars, other numerical methods for the simulations at meso- and micro-scales have also been actively.applied to solve the phy.ics of complex flow and fluid-interface interactions. This paper presents a review of recent advances in multi-scale computational simulation of biomimetics related fluid flow problems. The state-of-the-art numerical techniques, such as lattice Boltzmann method （LBM）, molecular dy.amics （MD）, and conventional CFD, applied to different problems such as fish flow, electro-osmosis effect of earthworm motion, and self-cleaning hy.rophobic surface, and the numerical approaches are introduced. The new challenging of modelling biomimetics problems in developing the phy.ical conditions of self-clean hy.rophobic surfaces is discussed.

In the present research, a bubble dy.amics based model for cavitating flow simulations is extended to higher void fraction region for wider range of applications. The present bubble model is based on the so-called Ray.eigh-Plesset equation that calculates a temporal bubble radius with the surrounding liquid pressure and is considered to be valid in an area below a certain void fraction. The solution algorithm is modified so that the Ray.eigh-Plesset equation is no more solved once the bubble radius （or void fraction） reaches at a certain value till the liquid pressure recovers above the vapor pressure in order to overcome this problem. This procedure is expected to stabilize the numerical calculation. The results of simple two-dimensional flow field are presented compared with the existing bubble model.
