BACKGROUND The efficacy of cognitive behavioral group therapy(CBGT)for cognitive dysfunction and negative symptoms of schizophrenia is established,but more evidence is *** To assess the effectiveness of CBGT combined with mental health education as a treatment for schizophrenia compared with mental health education *** In all,120 schizophrenia out-patients were randomized into CBGT combined with mental health education or single mental health *** primary outcomes were positive and negative symptoms,cognitive function,excitatory factor,anxiety and depression symptom improvements on the positive and negative syndrome scale *** outcome measures included social function and drug *** There were significant differences between CBGT combined with mental health education and single mental health education on measures of positive and negative symptoms,cognitive functions,excitatory factor,anxiety and depression symptoms,and social *** other significant difference in outcomes was *** CBGT combined with mental health education may be relevant beneficial treatment method in reducing symptoms,cognitive and social functions of patients with schizophrenia.

Crosslinking reactions of high density polyethylene with low peroxide concentrations ranging from 0.1 wt% to 1.0 wt% at temperatures of 170, 180 and 190 ℃ were monitored by rheological measurements. A critical gel forms at the peroxide concentration of 0.2 wt%, where the transition from long chain branching generation to crosslinking network formation could occur. Rheokinetics of crosslinking can be fitted well by Ding-Leonov＇s model. The curing rate k2 at the earlier stage exhibits about 3 times acceleration per 10 ~C with increasing temperature, while the equilibrium modulus G＇ at the fully cured stage is almost independent of temperature. Influences of crosslinking on the subsequent crystallization behaviors were detected by DSC measurements. Above the critical gel concentration, crystallization is largely retarded as evidenced by the lower crystallization temperature Tc and crystallinity Xc due to the network formation. The secondary crystallization valley located at the temperature near 80 ℃ can be observed above the critical concentration, which becomes more evident with the increasing peroxide concentration and curing temperature. This phenomenon provides another evidence of crystallization retardation by the crosslinking network.

To investigate the adjuvant potential of porcine IL-4 and IFN-γ in mice and pigs, the genes of porcine IL-4 and IFN-γ were cloned and the recombinant mammalian expression plasmids were constructed for in vivo expression of the cytokines. Adjuvant effects of recombinant expression plasmids of IL-4 and IFN-γ （pcDNA-IL-4, pcDNA-IFN-γ） co-administrated with Cysticercus cellulosae crude antigen or TSOL18 recombinant protein antigen have been carried out in mice and pigs, respectively. We have demonstrated that recombinant plasmids of the cytokines as an adjuvant could induce stronger immune response in mice and pigs. With the C. cellulosae parasite antigen, porcine pcDNA-IL-4 induced higher specific antibody of immunized mice than pcDNA-IFN-γ. But pcDNA-IFN-γ is significantly stronger than that of no adjuvant or empty plasmids with the antigen control group. For the TSOL18 recombinant protein antigen vaccine, pcDNA-IL-4 still had a stronger ability to enhance specific antibody in swine than pcDNA-IFN-γ （P 〈 0.01）, but the immune protective rate was lower in challenged pigs （only 68.7%）. Although pcDNA-IFN-γ showed lower specific antibody, the protection rate was very high （91%） than other group （P 〈 0.01）. This study indicated that the recombinant expression plasmids of porcine IL-4 and IFN-γ display stronger adjuvant effects to C. cellulosae vaccine, further research should be carried out for understanding of the interaction mechanism.

Bio-based polyurethane foam has attracted increasing attentions due to eco-friendliness and fossil feedstock ***,the inherent flammability limits its application in different ***,we demonstrate a green bio-based flame-retardant system to fabricate polyurethane foam composite with durable flame retardancy,smoke suppression,and thermal insulation *** this system,the green bio-based polyol(VED)with good reactivity and compatibility plays a role of flame retardant and EG acts as a synergistic *** a result,the LOI value of foam composite increased to 30.5 vol.%and it achieved a V-0 rating in the UL-94 vertical burning ***,the peak heat release rate(pHRR)and the total smoke production(TSP)decreased by 66.1%and 63.4%,***,the foam composite maintained durable flame retardancy after accelerated thermal aging test,whose thermal-insulating property was maintained even after being treated in high-humidity environment with 85%*** a *** work provides a facile strategy for durable flame retardancy and long-term thermal insulation performance,and creates opportunities for the practical applications of bio-based foam composites.

Background:Both hormonal therapy(HT) and maintenance capecitabine monotherapy(MCT) have been shown to extend time to progression(TTP) in patients with metastatic breast cancer(MBC) after failure of taxanes and anthracycline?containing ***,no clinical trials have directly compared the efficacy of MCT and HT after response to first?line capecitabine?based combination chemotherapy(FCCT) in patients with hormone receptor(HR)?positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)?negative breast ***:We retrospectively analyzed the charts of 138 HR?positive and HER2?negative MBC patients who were in non?progression status after FCCT and who were treated between 2003 and 2012 at the Cancer Institute and Hospital,Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences,in Beijing,*** median number of first?line chemotherapy cycles was 6(range,4–8);combined agents included taxanes,vinorelbine,or *** these 138 patients,79 received MCT,and 59 received ***?agent capecitabine was administered at a dose of 1250 mg/m2 twice daily for 14 days,followed by a 7?day rest period,repeated every 3 *** the 59 patients who received HT,37 received aromatase inhibitors(AIs),8 received selective estrogen receptor modulators(SERMs),and 14 received goserelin plus either AIs or *** then compared the MCT group and HT group in terms of treatment ***:With a median follow?up of 43 months,patients in the HT group had a much longer TTP than patients in the MCT group(13 vs.8 months,P ease?free surviv= 0.011).When TTP was adjusted for age,menopausal status,Karnofsky performance status score,disal,site of metastasis,number of metastatic sites,and response status after FCCT,extended TTP was still observed for patients in the HT group(hazard ratio:0.63;95% confidence interval:0.44–0.93;P = 0.020).We also observed a trend of overall survival advantage for patients in the HT group *** in the MCT group,but the difference was not significant(43 vs.37

Transition metal sulfides have great potential as anode mterials for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)due to their high theoretical specific ***,the inferior intrinsic conductivity and large volume variation during sodiation-desodiation processes seriously affect its high-rate and long-cyde performance,unbeneficial for the application as fast-charging and long-cycling SIBs ***,the three-dimensional porous Cu_(1.81)S/nitrogen-doped carbon frameworks(Cu_(1.81)S/NC)are synthesized by the simple and facile sol-gel and annealing processes,which can accommodate the volumetric expansion of Cu_(1.81)S nanoparticles and accelerate the transmission of ions and electrons during Na^(+)insertion/extraction processes,exhibiting the excellent rate capability(250.6 mA·g^(-1)at 20.0 A·g^(-1))and outstanding cycling stability(70% capacity retention for 6000 cycles at 10.0 A·g^(-1))for ***,the Na-ion full cells coupled with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode also demonstrate the satisfactory reversible specific capacity of 330.5 mAh·g^(-1)at 5.0 A·g^(-1)and long-cycle performance with the 86.9% capacity retention at 2.0 A·g^(-1)after 750 *** work proposes a promising way for the conversionbased metal sulfides for the applications as fast-charging sodium-ion battery anode.

Pharmacological targeting cGAS/STING/NF-κB axis by tryptanthrin induces microglia polarization toward M2 phenotype and promotes functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord injury

The study is to determine the distribution of ion channel and property of ion current in human amniotic mes-enchymal stem cell (hAMSC). The amniotic membrane was gathered from the healthy and mature newborn after delivery. The hAMSCs were isolated and cultured in DMEM with 10% FBS for 2 weeks. The mRNA of hAMSC was collected after 2 week, and the Reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) were then performed to detect the mRNA expres-sion of ion channel. The ion current of hAMSC were recorded under the whole cell mode with patch clamp. Most of the hAMSCs (76/82) cells showed outward current during the patch clamp test. The membranes potential of the hAMSC is -3.89±7.14mV(-253.9mV), the membranes capacity offset is 300.06±189.81(080pF). There were 3 types of outward cur-rent presented in the hAMSC, including the delayed rectifier potassium current (IkDR.), Calcium-activated-potassium current (IkCa) and transient outward current (Ito). The cur-rent of IkDR can present in most hAMSCs(93.4%), and half of the cells show a slow activating delayed rectifier K cur-rent(Iks). The noisy oscillation like IkCa current was observed in 35.5% hAMSCs, and Ito present in 14.5% hAMSCs. The inward currents such as sodium currents, calcium currents, inward rectifier K current (Ik1) and funny current(If) were absent in our study. The expression of mRNA of certain ion channel subunit of MaxIK(for IkCa), Kir2.1, Kv1.4(for Ito), HminK(for IkDR.).can be detected. This is the first study of the electrophysiology property in hAMSCs. The hAMSC can express a distinct pattern of ion channel mRNA and functional ion *** ion current of IkDR, IkCa and Ito can pre-sent in the hAMSCs.

The M1/M2 phenotypic shift of microglia after spinal cord injury plays an important role in the regulation of neuroinflammation during the secondary injury phase of spinal cord *** of shifting microglia polarization from M1(neurotoxic and proinflammatory type)to M2(neuroprotective and anti-inflammatory type)after spinal cord injury appears to be *** possesses an anti-inflammatory biological ***,its roles and the underlying molecular mechanisms in spinal cord injury remain *** this study,we found that tryptanthrin inhibited microglia-derived inflammation by promoting polarization to the M2 phenotype in *** promoted M2 polarization through inactivating the cGAS/STING/NF-κB ***,we found that targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB pathway with tryptanthrin shifted microglia from the M1 to M2 phenotype after spinal cord injury,inhibited neuronal loss,and promoted tissue repair and functional recovery in a mouse model of spinal cord ***,using a conditional co-culture system,we found that microglia treated with tryptanthrin suppressed endoplasmic reticulum stress-related neuronal *** together,these results suggest that by targeting the cGAS/STING/NF-κB axis,tryptanthrin attenuates microglia-derived neuroinflammation and promotes functional recovery after spinal cord injury through shifting microglia polarization to the M2 phenotype.
