Effect of endometrial thickness on the risk of ectopic pregnancy for frozen embryo transfer

Objective:Few studies have explored the suitability of endometrial thickness(EMT)as a predictor of ectopic pregnancy(EP)in frozen embryo transfer(FET)*** study aimed to investigate the association between EMT and EP and explore the cutoff value of EMT to predict ***:This retrospective cohort study included women aged 20-45 years undergoing FET between March 2015 and September *** primary outcomes and measured variables were EP and EMT,*** threshold effect of EMT on EP was calculated based on a constructed smooth curve *** patients were divided into two groups based on the threshold for comparison.A subgroup analysis was conducted to examine whether the relationship between EMT and EP remained consistent across the different ***,a generalized linear model was used to analyze the interactions between the treatment factors and EMT in ***:In total,27,549 FET cycles were included,with 27,086 intrauterine and 463 ectopic *** risk of EP in the EMT≤8.7 mm group was 3.36 times higher than that in the EMT>8.7 mm group(odds ratio[OR]:3.36,95%confidence interval[CI]:2.57-4.05).Subgroup analysis further indicated that a thin EMT was a risk factor for EP,independent of other *** also noted that diminished ovarian reserve,tubal factor infertility,transfer of two embryos,or transfer of cleavage-stage embryos may further enhance the risk of EP in patients with thin ***:Thin endometrium was associated with an increased risk of *** with EMT less than 8.7 mm need close medical observation and management after embryo *** addition,diminished ovarian reserve,tubal factor infertility,transfer of two embryos,or transfer of cleavage-stage embryos may significantly enhance the effect of a thin endometrium on the risk of EP.

Tuning Cr-rich nanoprecipitation and heterogeneous structure in equiatomic CrFeNi medium-entropy stainless alloys

High-/medium-entropy stainless alloys(HESAs/MESAs)are a new kind of alloys with great potential to combine excellent properties from high-/medium-entropy alloys(HEAs/MEAs)and stainless steels.A CrFeNi MESA was chosen to investigate its microstructures and mechanical *** homogenization,the strength and ductility of CrFeNi MESAs with single-phase face-centered-cubic(fcc)structure were higher compared with those of Fe_(100−x-y)Cr_(x)Ni_(y)austenitic stainless ***-rich body-centered-cubic(bcc)precipitates and heterogeneous structure were introduced by cold rolling and annealing at 800℃.Rolling at 700℃ results in higher dislocation density and the occurrence of lamellar Cr-rich bcc ***-density dislocations and fcc grains with heterogeneous structure,together with Cr-rich bcc precipitates,contribute to a yield strength improvement of about 50 MPa,and appreciable tensile yield strength of~540 MPa and fracture strain of~20%are *** reveals that not only compositional variations but also grain size and phase structure tuning can be utilized for achieving desired mechanical properties.

Radial growth in Qinghai spruce is most sensitive to severe drought in the Qilian Mountains of Northwest China

Global warming and frequent extreme drought events lead to tree death and extensive forest decline,but the underlying mechanism is not *** drought years,cambial development is more sensitive to climate change,but in different phenological stages,the response rela-tionship is ***,the dynamic relationship between tree radial growth and climatic/environmental fac-tors needs to be *** thus continuously monitored radial growth of Qinghai spruce(Picea crassifolia Kom.)and environmental factors from January 2021 to November 2022 using point dendrometers and portable meteorological weather stations in the central area of the Qilian *** relationship and stability between the radial growth of Qinghai spruce and environmental factors were compared for different levels of drought in 2021 and *** year 2022 had higher temperatures and less precipitation and was drier than *** with 2021,the growing period in 2022 for Qinghai spruce was 10 days shorter,maximum growth rate(Grmax)was 4.5μm·d^(-1) slower,and the initiation of growth was 6 days *** of Qinghai spruce was always restricted by drought,and the stem radial increment(SRI)was more sensitive to precipitation and air relative *** changes in cumulative radial growth were divided into four phenological stages according to the time of growth onset,cessation,and maximum growth rate(Grmax)of Qinghai *** responses of SRI to climate change were stronger in Stage 3 and Stage 4 of 2021 and stronger in Stage 1(initiation growth stage)and Stage 3 of *** results provide important information on the growth of the trees in response to drought and for specific managing forests as the climate warms.

The 100 most influential articles in myopia:a bibliometric analysis

AIM:To identify and characterize the 100 most influential articles in the field of myopia over the last ***:Articles on myopia published between January 1975 and March 2020 were searched through the Web of Science Core Collection *** independent authors reviewed and determined the 100 most cited *** characteristics of each eligible article were recorded,including authors,institutions,countries,journals,publication date,total citations(TCs),annual citations(ACs),research focus and article ***:The top 100 most influential articles were published between 1983 and 2016,with 1999 as the most prolific *** mean number of TCs was 288(range:193-537)and the mean number of ACs was 19(range:7-109).Treatment and epidemiology of myopia were the most important research *** articles were published in 21 journals led by Ophthalmology(29%)followed by Investigative Ophthalmology&Visual Science(23%).The number of ACs for articles published in the last ten years was significantly higher than that for the other most-cited articles(44 vs 16,Mann-Whitney U test P<0.01).There is no difference in the number of TCs between original articles and review articles,while the number of ACs for review articles was significantly higher than that for original articles(22 vs 17,Mann-Whitney U test P<0.05).CONCLUSION:This bibliometric analysis can provide us with concise information about the development trend of research in the field of myopia in the past few decades,and provide an important reference for researchers to guide future research.

A Review of the Pharmacology, Application, Ethnopharmacology, Phytochemistry, Quality Control, Processing, Toxicology, and Pharmacokinetics of Paridis Rhizoma

Paridis Rhizoma(PR) is also known as the flower with seven leaves and one branch, PR with golden thread, etc. It tastes bitter, numb, and slightly cold and has little poison. It is often used for the treatment of external skin infection, sore throat, snake bite, fall pain, frightening convulsion, and other diseases. PR has analgesic, sedative, anti-inflammatory, hemostatic, antitumor, antibacterial, antiviral, and renal and liver protective effects;inhibition of angiogenesis;immune regulation;and antioxidant and cardiovascular effects, and antifertility and anti-early pregnancy sperm killing effects. Steroidal saponins, β-ecdysone, polysaccharides, microelements, flavonoid glycosides, and amino acids were isolated from PR. In this paper, its pharmacology, application, ethnopharmacology, phytochemistry, quality control, toxicology, and pharmacokinetics were reviewed. This information suggests that we should focus on the development of new drugs related to PR, including specific ingredients, so as to make PR play a greater therapeutic potential. At the same time, attention should be paid to the rational use of PR resources to avoid excessive using, resulting in resource shortage. Therefore, we can carry out the research on the substitutes of PR, a large-scale planting of(Paridis Rhizoma) PR, and develop the same genus of PR and other resources. So far, great progress has been made in pharmacology and phytochemistry, especially in antitumor research, and many traditional uses have been confirmed and clarified by modern pharmacological research. However, there are few studies on the mechanism of its pharmacological action and few studies on processing. To develop new drugs in the future, more studies and experiments are still needed to prove the effect of PR and explore more new effects.

Rational design of vitamin C/defective carbon van der Waals heterostructure for enhanced activity,durability and storage stability toward oxygen reduction reaction

A pseudoclassical theory for the wavepacket dynamics of the kicked rotor model

In this study, we propose a generalized pseudoclassical theory for the kicked rotor model in an attempt to discern the footprints of the classical dynamics in the deep quantum regime. Compared with the previous pseudoclassical theory that applies only in the neighborhoods of the lowest two quantum resonances, the proposed theory is applicable in the neighborhoods of all quantum resonances in principle by considering the quantum effect of the free rotation at a quantum resonance. In particular, it is confirmed by simulations that the quantum wavepacket dynamics can be successfully forecasted based on the generalized pseudoclassical dynamics, offering an intriguing example where it is feasible to bridge the dynamics in the deep quantum regime to the classical dynamics. The application of the generalized pseudoclassical theory to the PT-symmetric kicked rotor is also discussed.
