The phase-modulated quadrature squeezing in the system that composed of two coupled cavities interacting with a two-level atom is *** variances of the amplitude and phase quadrature of the output field are *** turns out that the squeezing behaviors of the output field can be obviously modified due to the phase difference of the coupling strengths between the atom and the two *** squeezing in one quadrature(i.e.,phase quadrature)can be transferred into another(i.e.,amplitude quadrature),or the quadrature squeezing located at the low-frequency region can be transferred into the high-frequency region by modulating the relative phase of the coupling ***,the effects of the decay mismatch between the two cavities and the coupling mismatch between the atom and the cavities on the quadrature squeezing have been *** results show that both the decay mismatch and the coupling mismatch play a positive role in generating better quadrature squeezing.

Paraelectric state ferroelectric material is proposed as a novel substitution for the conventional high-k dielectric used in AlGaN/GaN metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) field-effect *** superior potential for improving device transconductance is due to its unique switchable polar *** self-consistent calculation involving the switchable polarization of the paraelectric,the 2DEG properties and C-V characteristics are investigated and compared for the novel AlGaN/GaN metal-paraelectric-semiconductor (MPS) structure and an equivalent conventional MIS *** is shown that owing to the paraelectric polarization,the gate control of the 2DEG density is remarkably enhanced in the MPS structure and the gate capacitance is significantly improved with a smaller threshold *** self-consistent polarization of the paraelectric in the MPS structure is non-linsarly dependent on the saturated polarization,which implies an optimum saturated polarization of 5-10 μC/cm^(2) for the paraelectric.

Objective:Cluster needling at scalp acupoints has showed satisfying effects with acute cerebral ischemia in clinic whereas the mechanisms are not yet clear *** study investigated the influence of cluster needling at scalp acupoints on neurological function,as well as on neurofilament protein 200(NF200)and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)expression,in rats with acute cerebral ***:Fifty-four Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly assigned in equal numbers to the false operation(group F),model(group M),or cluster needling scalp acupuncture(group C)*** group was divided into three subgroups,of six rats each,by acupuncture treatment time(24 h,7 days,and 14 days).The rat local cerebral ischemia model was prepared using a modified suture occlusion *** C rats were treated by cluster needling scalp acupuncture,while groups F and M did not receive acupuncture *** effects were evaluated using the Longa ***200 and STAT3 expression were measured by western ***:At 24 h,there were no statistical difference between group C and group M in nerve function(P>.05).On days 7 and 14,nerve function scores in group C were significantly lower than that in group M(respectively were P.05).Conclusion:Cluster needling scalp acupuncture were efficient in improving nerve function scores in rats with cerebral ischemia,and promoting the recovery of motor *** improvements were associated with increases in NF200 and STAT3 expression.

Matrix metalloproteinases（MMPs） play an essential role in development and tissue remodeling of living organisms. However, the overexpression of MMPs has lead to a series of diseases, such as cancer, arthritis, and atherosclerosis; and inhibition of MMPs may have therapeutic benefits. The discovery of MMP inhibitors from herbal has become a prospective event. We showed that the extract of Polygoni multiflori caulis from ethyl acetate or water（ethyl acetate extract and water extract） can inhibit the activities of MMPs 9, 14, and 16 in a dose-dependent manner and n-butyl alcohol extract of it can also inhibit these MMPs. Furthermore, we found that n-butyl alcohol extract and water extract of it influence the cell viability. These discoveries may contribute to the development of MMP in- hibitors for the therapy of a variety of pathological conditions.

This paper describes the key issues of high-speed brushless permanent magnet motor design, such as rotor design, stator design, and determination of the main dimensions, and the overall design process was given. In this paper, a two-pole three-phase high-speed brushless PM （permanent magnet） motor with ratings air-gap length and stator slot number on the motor performance of 7.5 kW, 30,000 rpm is designed, and the effect of the different was analyzed. The results show that larger number of stator slot decreases the rotor loss and the rotor torque ripple. Larger air-gap length decreases the rotor loss.
