A new variant of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(iCCA)has been recognized in recent years presenting predominantly as a large hepatic mass in young woman with the characteristic expression of inhibin by *** variant iCCA was originally termed as cholangioblastic variant of iCCA,and subsequently proposed to be renamed as inhibin-positive hepatic carcinoma or solid-tubulocystic variant of iCCA to better reflect its immunohistochemical profile or morphologic *** tumor histologically is composed of small to medium sized cells with scant to moderate amount of eosinophilic cytoplasm heterogeneously organized in solid,tubular,and cystic growth *** tumor cells are positive for biliary markers,inhibin and albumin,and have a novel recurrent gene fusion,NIPBL::*** of this new iCCA variant and its clinicopathologic features will aid in the diagnostic work-up and avoid confusion with other primary and metastatic hepatic neoplasms.

OBJECTIVE Traumatic neuromas are rare benign lesions occurring post-mastectomy,which are usually suspected as tumour recurrences before excision *** report six cases presenting with palpable nodules post-mastectomy,to emphasize the differential diagnosis of traumatic neuroma from recurrent *** Six cases were *** age of patients ranged from 33 to 61 *** masses were found close to the mastectomy scar during follow-up over a period of 2.8 to 8 *** In one patient three nodular masses were *** patients had received chemotherapy,three of which had also received *** examinations showed a well-circumscribed,homoge-neous,hypo-echoic subcutaneous nodular lesion in four cases,and a poorly defined hypo-echoic nodule with good conduction in two *** obvious distant metastases had been *** patient underwent surgical excisional *** of nodules had a diameter less than 1 ***-logical examination showed proliferation of nerve fibre bundles,which were disordered,oriented and well circumscribed in fibro-adipose *** It was concluded that all of the lesions were traumatic neuromas,independent from the initial *** neuromas occur-ring in mastectomy scars are difficult to distinguish from a tumor *** radiological evaluation of the mass with ultrasound is of value,the diagnosis can only be confirmed following a histopathological evaluation.

The identification and understanding of cryptic intraspecific evolutionary units(lineages) are crucial for planning effective conservation strategies aimed at preserving genetic diversity in endangered ***, the factors driving the evolution and maintenance of these intraspecific lineages in most endangered species remain poorly understood. In this study, we conducted resequencing of 77 individuals from 22 natural populations of Davidia involucrata, a “living fossil” dove tree endemic to central and southwest China. Our analysis revealed the presence of three distinct local lineages within this endangered species, which emerged approximately 3.09 and 0.32 million years ago. These divergence events align well with the geographic and climatic oscillations that occurred across the distributional ***, we observed frequent hybridization events between the three lineages, resulting in the formation of hybrid populations in their adjacent as well as disjunct regions. These hybridizations likely arose from climate-driven population expansion and/or long-distance gene flow. Furthermore, we identified numerous environment-correlated gene variants across the total and many other genes that exhibited signals of positive evolution during the maintenance of two major local lineages. Our findings shed light on the highly dynamic evolution underlying the remarkably similar phenotype of this endangered species. Importantly, these results not only provide guidance for the development of conservation plans but also enhance our understanding of evolutionary past for this and other endangered species with similar histories.

Aims Salt marsh vegetation is an important contributor of dissolved organic matter(DOM)to coastal *** dynamics of DOM leaching from different marsh plants,however,have not been well studied or *** In this study,we conducted laboratory experiments to investigate the processes of DOM leaching from three common marsh plants(Phragmites australis,Suaeda salsa and Aeluropus littoralis)collected from the Yellow River Delta(YRD)salt marsh in October *** YRD is one of the largest and most well-protected coastal ecosystems on the east coast of *** Findings We found that the plant leaves released DOM at much higher concentrations than the plant roots or stems,as measured by the dissolved organic carbon(DOC)and dissolved nitrogen(DN).On average,15%of the biomass C and 30%of the biomass N were released from the plant leaves as DOC and DN during the 27-day incubation *** DOM released from the plants was very labile,and 92.4%-98.1%of the DOC and 88.0%-94.6%of the DN released from the plants were consumed by bacteria during the 27-day incubation *** fluorescence characteristics of the plant-released DOM indicated that chromophoric dissolved organic matter was a major fraction of the DOM and that protein-like components were the primary organic fractions released from the *** degradation altered both the fluorescence properties and the chemical composition of the *** results of the laboratory experiments were well supported by the field investigation,which indicated that a large amount of DOM was outwelled from the YRD salt marshes in late *** study suggests that the DOM released from the biomass of salt marsh plants provides an important source of both DOC and DN for marsh and coastal *** highly labile DOC and DN provide essential food sources to support microbial communities in the YRD salt marsh and adjacent coastal waters.

The delimitation of urban development boundaries plays an important role in optimizing the nation land space.“Double evaluation”is one of the important means to study and predict the scale of new construction land in the future and to determine the spatial distribution of urban construction *** study combines the“double evaluation”with the FLUS(Future Land-Use Simulation)model to study the delimitation of the urban development boundary of *** results show that:(1)the“double evaluation”method comprehensively considers the carrying capacity of the resource environmental bear and the suitability of urban development;(2)the FLUS model can better couple the“double evaluation”method for Land Use/Land Cover(LULC)suitability evaluation,Land Use/land Cover Change(LUCC)simulation and urban development boundary delineation,and the overall accuracy of the simulation reaches 96%;(3)according to the requirements of relevant national policies,this study divides the urban development boundary of the study area into concentrated construction areas,elastic development areas and special purpose *** function-based division can meet the requirements of urban flexible development,ecological protection and urban *** research combines the FLUS model,which is widely used in the simulation of LUCC,with the double evaluation method used in China’s new round of land and space planning to obtain the result of the urban development *** result is consistent with the existing plan of the study area.

Background:Physical activity has been hypothesized to play a protective role in neurodegenerative ***,effect estimates previously derived from observational studies were prone to confounding or reverse ***:We performed a two-sample Mendelian randomization(MR)analysis to explore the causal association of accelerometer-measured physical activity with 3 common neurodegenerative diseases:Alzheimer’s disease(AD),Parkinson’s disease(PD),and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS).We selected genetic instrumental variants reaching genome-wide significance(p<5×10^(-8))from 2 largest meta-analyses of about 91,100 UK Biobank *** statistics for AD,PD,and ALS were retrieved from the up-to-date studies in European ancestry led by the international *** random-effect,inverse-variance weighted MR was employed as the primary method,while MR pleiotropy residual sum and outlier(MR-PRESSO),weighted median,and MR-Egger were implemented as sensitivity *** statistical analyses were performed using the R programming language(Version 3.6.1;R Foundation for Statistical Computing,Vienna,Austria).Results:Primary MR analysis and replication analysis utilized 5 and 8 instrumental variables,which explained 0.2%and 0.4%variance in physical activity,*** each set,one variant at 17q21 was significantly associated with PD,and MR sensitivity analyses indicated them it as an outlier and source of heterogeneity and *** results with the removal of outlier variants suggested odds ratios(ORs)of neurodegenerative diseases per unit increase in objectively measured physical activity were 1.52 for AD(95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.88-2.63,p=0.13)and 3.35 for PD(95%CI:1.32-8.48,p=0.01),while inconsistent results were shown in the replication set for AD(OR=1.06,95%CI:1.01-1.12,p=0.02)and PD(OR=0.99,95%CI:0.88-0.12,p=0.97).Similarly,the beneficial effect of physical activity on ALS(OR=0.51,95%CI:0.29-0.91,p=0.02)was not confirmed in

Conventional sutures used in surgical procedures often lack the capability to effectively monitor physical and chemical activities or the microbial environment of surgical wounds due to their inadequate mechanical properties,insufficient electrical accuracy and ***,we present a straightforward layer-by-layer coating technique that utilizes 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane(CA),graphene oxide(GO),and ascorbic acid(AA)to develop conductive silk-based surgical sutures(CA-rGSFS).The CA-rGSFS feature a continuous reduced graphene oxide(rGO)film on their surface,forming robust hydrogen bonds with silk *** reduction process of rGO is confirmed through Raman analysis,demonstrating an enhanced D peak to G peak ***,the CA-rGSFS exhibit exceptional mechanical properties and efficient electron transmission,with a knot-pull tensile strength of 2089.72±1.20 cN and an electrical conductivity of 130.30±11.34 S/m,respectively,meeting the requirements specified by the United States Pharmacopeia(USP)for 2-0 *** novel CA-rGSFS demonstrate the ability to accurately track resistance changes in various fluid environments with rapid response,including saline,intestinal,and gastric *** suture also retains remarkable stretchablility and stability even after enduring 3000 tensile cycles,highlighting their potential for precise surgical site monitoring during the wound healing process.
