Soil organic carbon(SOC)and nitrogen(N)mineralization are important biogeochemical processes associated with soil *** processes are influenced by physically,chemically,and biologically stabilized SOC fractions,the mechanisms of which are not well *** present study was conducted to evaluate the combined effect of manure and mineral fertilizers on the contents of SOC fractions to promote the mineralization of SOC and *** included:i)no fertilizer control(CK);ii)a combination of mineral N,phosphorus,and potassium fertilizers(NPK);iii)manure alone(M);iv)manure combined with NPK(MNPK);and v)a high dose of manure combined with NPK(hMNPK).The combined uses of manure and mineral fertilizers(MNPK and hMNPK)enhanced the accumulation of the unprotected coarse particulate organic carbon(C)fraction(cPOC)by 44%-72%compared to *** applications(M,MNPK and hMNPK)enhanced physically microaggregate-protected organic C(μagg),physicochemically protected organic C within the microaggregate-derived silt(μsilt)fraction(H-μsilt),and physicobiochemically protected organic C within theμsilt fraction(NH-μsilt)by 30%-56%,62%-150%,and 27%-51%,*** contrast,all chemically and biochemically protected SOC fractions showed a minor response to manure *** of cPOC,μagg,H-μsilt,and physicochemically protected organic C within the microaggregate-derived clay fraction(H-μclay)significantly contributed to the mineralization of SOC and N,resulting in a significant increase in rice grain yield with long-term manure *** summary,long-term combined use of manure and mineral fertilizers improved SOC accumulation in unprotected and physically protected fractions,which enhanced SOC and N mineralization and benefited soil productivity in a rice-wheat cropping system.

OBJECTIVE: To characterize the tongue and pulse manifestations in asymptomatic coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19) cases in Shanghai. METHODS: We conducted a clinical study of 668 patients with asymptomatic infections in which we analyzed the tongue and pulse features in the Shanghai New International Expo Center mobile cabin hospital. The medical records of the patients, including tongue color, tongue coating, and pulse manifestations, were reviewed by healthcare workers. RESULTS: In total, 668 COVID-19 cases were included in the study. Patient age ranged from 5 to 96 years, with a median of 44.0(IQR 33.0-53.0) years. Among the patients, 6.14% had comorbidities. The most common comorbid condition was diabetes(1.65%), followed by hypertension(0.89%), coronary heart disease(0.89%), thrombotic diseases(0.89%), congestive heart failure(0.60%), and stroke(0.45%). Pink-red(75.4%) was the most common tongue color, followed by red(23.4%) and pale red(1.2%). Tongue coating color and thickness were classified as white fur(9.28%), thin and yellow fur(48.65%), white greasy fur(8.98%), yellow greasy fur(24.70%), and less coating(8.39%). In addition, a large number of patients(n = 300, 44.91%) presented superficial and rapid pulses, and 250 patients(37.4%) exhibited a slippery pulse. CONCLUSION: Our preliminary results showed that wind, heat, and dampness were the main etiologies of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 Omicron(B.1.1.529) variant infection in traditional Chinese medicine. Furthermore, the main symptoms of the disease may be wind-heat invading the lung syndrome or damp-heat with the exuberance of virulence syndrome, which is of most significance in COVID-19 treatment.

In this paper, we propose a matrix-based approach for finite automata and then study the reachability conditions. Both the deterministic and nondeterministic automata are expressed in matrix forms, and the necessary and sufficient conditions on reachability are given using semitensor product of matrices. Our results show that the matrix expression provides an effective computational way for the reachability analysis of finite automata.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate blood pressure rhythm(BPR)in Yin deficiency syndrome of hypertension(YDSH)patients and develop a random forest model for predicting ***: Our study was consistent with technical processes and specification for developing guidelines of Evidence-based Chinese medicine clinical practice(T/CACM 1032-2017). We enrolled 234 patients who had been diagnosed with primary hypertension without antihypertensive medications prior to the enrollment. All participants were divided into Yin deficiency group(YX, n = 74) and non-Yin deficiency group(NYX, n = 160).Participants were professionally grouped by three experienced chief Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)physicians according to four examinations(i.e.,inspection, listening and smelling, inquiry and palpation).We collected data on 24 h ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM) and YDSH rating scale. We divided 24 h of a day into 12 two-hour periods [Chen-Shi(7:00-9:00), Si-Shi(9:00-11:00), Wu-Shi(11:00-13:00), Wei-Shi(13:00-15:00), Shen-Shi(15:00-17:00), You-Shi(17:00-19:00), xu-Shi(19:00-21:00), Hai-Shi(21:00-23:00), ZiShi(23:00-1:00), Chou-Shi(1:00-3:00), Yin-Shi(3:00-5:00), Mao-Shi(5:00-7:00)] according to the theory of “midnight-midday ebb flow”. We used random forest to build the diagnostic model of YDSH, with whether it was Yin deficiency syndrome as the outcome. RESULTS: Compared with NYX group, YX group had more female participants with older age, lower waist circumference, body mass index(BMI), diastolic blood pressure(DBP), and smoking and drinking rate(all P < 0.05). The YDSH rating scores of YX group [28.5(21.0-36.0)] were significantly higher than NYX group [13.0(8.0-22.0)](P < 0.001), and the typical symptoms of YX group included vexing heat in the chest, palms and soles, dizziness, dry eyes, string-like and fine pulse, soreness and weakness of lumbus and knees, palpitations, reddened cheeks, and tinnitus(all P < 0.05). Fusarium crown rot(FCR) is a soilborne disease causing severe yield losses in many wheat-growing areas of the world. Diseased plants show browning and necrosis of roots and stems causing white heads at maturity. Little is known about the molecular processes employed by wheat roots to respond to the disease. We characterized morphological, transcriptional and hormonal changes in wheat seedling roots following challenge with Fusarium pseudograminearum(Fp), the main pathogen of FCR. The pathogen inhibited root development to various extents depending on plants' resistance level. Many genes responsive to FCR infection in wheat roots were enriched in plant hormone pathways. The contents of compounds involved in biosynthesis and metabolism of jasmonic acid, salicylic acid, cytokinin and auxin were drastically changed in roots at five days post-inoculation. Presoaking seeds in methyl jasmonate for 24 h promoted FCR resistance, whereas presoaking with cytokinin 6-benzylaminopurine made plants more susceptible. Overexpression of TaOPR3, a gene involved in jasmonic acid biosynthesis, enhanced plant resistance as well as root and shoot growth during infection.

热像差是导致光刻物镜工作状态下像质劣化的主要原因之一。针对同轴两反式高数值孔径(NA)投影光刻物镜的结构特点,提出了将元件位移法和元件分区加热法相结合,共同补偿热像差的方案。元件位移法通过改变元件的间隔、偏心或倾斜量来调节像质;元件分区加热法利用光学材料折射率随温度变化的特点,通过控制元件的温度分布产生可控波前。采用上述补偿方案对偶极照明模式下的热像差进行补偿,波像差从129.78 nm减小至1.69 nm,畸变从12.24 nm减小至1.31 nm,将物镜像质补偿至接近设计水平。

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Buzhong Yiqi decoction(补中益气汤,BZYQ)in the treatment of hospital-acquired pneumonia(HAP)with multi-drug-resistant bacteria(MDRB).METHODS:This 28-day study was conducted at 5 clinical centers in *** eligible patients were randomly assigned(1∶1)into the intervention group(BZYQ plus conventional Western Medicine therapy)and control group(conventional Western Medicine therapy).The primary outcomes were the clinical response,clinical pulmonary infection score(CPIS),and microbiologic *** secondary outcomes were the 28-day allcause mortality(ACM),Acute Physiology and Chronic Health EvaluationⅡ(APACHEⅡ)score,ventilator weaning rate,length of mechanical ventilation(MV),length of hospital stay,and changes of infection ***:Altogether 83 subjects in the intervention group and 85 subjects in the control group were *** clinical success rate(48.2%)and the pathogen eradication rate(59.0%)of the intervention group were all better than those of the control group(32.9%and 38.9%,respectively)with statistically significant differences(P0.05).The differences between two groups in ventilator weaning rate,length of hospital stay,and APACHEⅡscore were not statistically significant(P>0.05).The intervention group displayed decreases in white blood cell count,C-reactive protein,neutrophil percentage,and procalcitonin at day 28 compared with baseline(P<0.05).No serious adverse events occurred in either group during the 28-day ***:BZYQ may be an effective therapeutic option for the management of HAP with MDRB.
